we dont need to castigate HR. This is to tell u indirectly that dey wud prefer graduates of private university. that age and experience is very realistic with them as only very few graduates frm public universities can qualify for such job

I began to develop interest in this branch of mechanical engineering field during my nysc period. Since then, I think i have enjoyed the practice for the past 3yrs and I decided to open this thread for every other mechanical engr who is into building services job to contribute by sharing relevant challenges, latest approach to job, new development esp in d area of use of software and every other issues including renumerations.
I believe we can learn one or two things frm each other that help can our career to grow thru our contribution as no one is an island of knowledge.

if electrical connection is in contact, u may have to call plumbers to remove it frm d well if it refuses to discharge and u test it if d impeller is still rolling. if it has burnt, u can prepare for smth close to 30k if ur pump is either 1 or 1.5 hp.

Sometimes you just have to wonder what's the need for the work experience written against a particular job. if a job that requires just sweeping and washing will be needing 3 years experience, then what fate lies our youth that will be 24 years and the recruiters will be asking for 5-6 Years experience (is it ASUU strike experience or school closure due to hike in fees experience).

May be you guys can educate me better, what's the relevance of the 3 years experience in this particular position?

as a hustler, my candid advice for u is to 1st look for a place to squat eventhough d place might nt be comfortable because cheap accomodatn is nt dt easy to get even in d remote part of d state. get dis arrangement 1st and even if possible u can begin to contact some frds and relatives now b4 u come proper. it is nt likely dt ur host in lagos is jobless and if he is kind enough, he can also help u by showing u d way out concerning where to work ard d locatn where he lives pending d time u will get a desire job. But above all, i can see u have great aspiratns but probably come frm background similar to mine where we make frantic effort to get things done by ourselves alone then if i guess right u need to move closer to God and fellowship with him to d core so dt He can connect u where there seems to be no helper. stay blesssed

I applied for the DSSC but I had problem either submitting or printing so I gave up on the application process, surprisingly my name was shortlisted also with the application number but the problem now is that I have not printed the necessary forms and papers to signs.

Well everybody like OP is entitled to his/her own opinion. Who wears d shoe is d only person that knows where it pinches. dt is to say na person wey don sitdon in parent house for years after graduatn will understand d importance on npower job.
