![]() We lost, season's over, all the joy of the footie is over till August! Shite! I hate the end of the season!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well we aren't going to Europe!!!! Yippee!!!!!!!! We need NO distractions, now just sell some players, get some veteran players and play some good ball next term!! Thank you everyone for tuning into the Spurs page this season, quite refereshing!!!! lol!!! ![]() SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
![]() Manmustwac as predicted we won, now its Liverpool we face Mukina Interesting match, I still think we don't need Europe for once, and I personally think Fulham will get the 7th spot. They actually deserve it more than us! We need fewer distractions this term! Liverpool match will be a good watch, Robbie Keane anyone?? Anyway, the best EPL season in ages!!!!!!!!!! Quite thrilling all the way, Congratulations to Man Utd, also Barcelona, Inter , ! |
Hahaha! See Arsee-Nal Beef o!!! ![]() |
Actually I dont think its gonna be so tough, Robinho is out and we beat them at the City Stadium, we play very well at home , we definitely will get a good result!!!! ![]() |
MAN CITY vs SPURS !!!!!!! who wins? Definitely Spurs! COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
News? Aint news anymore!!!! Yeah, not impressed with him in the least! ![]() |
HaHa! Mukina! We drew with Everton (expected), we both have tight defences and it was gonna be a dull game expected, ![]() What happened to your 'BABIES"?? Arsene Wenger has a LOT to do!!!! You guys played adults in Chelsea and Man Utd, Grow up! ![]() No beef, it's the blunt truth, You guys have so so much re-structuring to do OR you'll lose most of your good players, you're a downward spiral! |
SO WHO WINS : EVERTON OR SPURS? THEY ARE A TOUGH NUT TO CRACK!! |
MUKINA, sign of the times! Its like a cycle, we don't even need any European cup competitions this year, thats my take! Look to be sincere, Arsenal (As Adebayor admitted) are on the decline, you guys need better players, you need to spend money and also STOP playing 'baby' footballers, You need to mix Youth with experience, If you guys resist, some of your good players like Fabregas, Adebayor, Van Persie etc will DEFINITELY seek their fortunes elsewhere, Look at what happened with us and Berbatov, Now to us, we need just one thing, STABILITY, Harry Rednapp should be given lots of time to mould the team just like David Moyes or O'Neill at Everton & Villa respectively, we already have a good team, NOT great but good, we get more players added and guess what we will be above you shortly if care is NOT taken on Arsene Wengers part!!! So watch out! The footballing cycle MAY soon sweep you on a downward spiral if care is not taken by you gooners! Oh and it was a SAD day for football last nite, the officiating was horrendous! POOR CHELSKI! ![]() |
Hey Mukina what Happened to you guys last nite? 11 Men Vs 11 babies I hear, !!!!!!!!!!! What a shame! ![]() |
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! YOU GUYS SHOULD BE USED TO EACH OTHER BY NOW!MANMUSTWAC,, MUKINA IS JUST WHINING YOU UP!! DO NOT LET IT GET TO YOU !ANYWAY WE WON, ANOTHER CLEAN SHEET, AND THIS THREAD AINT CRAPPY, AND EVEN MUKINA KNOWS! SO COOL TEMPER AND LET THE GAMES GO!!! |
Use better terminology, SLOPPY! Very sloppy, Teams can crumble for different reasons, we just crashed simple, !! |
![]() Oh What?? Apart frpm the penalty, what we did wrong, ![]() Well we should have tightened up, Corluka was a bit slow and I think Hutton should have replaced him since Tevez had been introduced to speed things up for United. Also I think we should have chosen a 4-5-1 formation as of the 2nd half, WHY? United are always dangerous after the first half and the first 10/15 minutes are so crucial in a second half. If we increased the number of personnel in the midfield to counter the forays of Tevez/Rooney/Ronaldo then maybe we would have gotten a result, Oh well it's OVER and we lost badly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAN UNITED HAS NOW WON THE LEAGUE TITLE!!! |
QUOTE: Tottenham have got Chelsea's Cudicini. . .probably why their defense has tightened up Madam Cristalz, na wah are you a moderator ![]() Look, Cudicni has NOT been playing any matches for us in recent times. He has NOTHING to do with our resurgence! Get your footballing facts right before you write!! The reason we have good defence is simple: Corluka/Woodgate/King/Assou-Ekotto, and oh Gomes (Do you understand?), Good! , We win or Its a Draw, also the match is at 5.30pm Nigerian time!!! Where are you getting all your INFO FROM!!!! ![]() |
Have You Ever Gone To Heaven or Hell?? Do you have official confirmation of ts existence?? |
He Beat Man Utd Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() |
Olokun? I don't understand you ![]() What are you on about, and I checked the Link you sent, It means nothing on this thread, Please depart if u have nothing "Spurry" to talk about!!! |
Ha guys!! We are winning , winning and winning!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we face Man Utd,,,,, unfortunately Liverpool did not capitalise , they drew with Arse-nal!! But they can still have a go at it coz we aint losing to Man Utd, the best they can get is a draw!! |
FOREIGN NAMES TEND TO BE BORING, HOWEVER, XAVIER WON'T BE A BAD NAME |
Oh sorry , the name of the movie is: Oh Brother Where Art Thou, On my other phone its, Jay-z's : ROC BOYS!!!! ![]() |
Mine.??, a blue grass song from the George Clooney film (actually my favourite movie), ' Am a man of constant sorrow' |
Really don't care what he mean't!! He should got to the Arsenal Thread, we don't need no 'Yardies' here!! ![]() |
Hello, who is this CVIBE?? Can you please speak proper English? None of us guys in this thread are inclined towards slang filled lingua, please elaborate more precisely your point! ![]() |
Hi ALSO read this: IAN McGARRY - The Inside View Email the author Published: Today FABIO CAPELLO got his first taste of what it is really like to be England manager yesterday. It was not the sweet flavour of victory he has enjoyed in every qualifying match he has been in charge. And certainly not the constant spooning of praise for the way he has turned the national team around. No, the Ledley King affair stirred up the more familiar stink of farce with a side portion of egg on the face. Well, that is the way King’s on-off on-off call-up to the squad will be perceived by many after the Spurs defender was sent home nursing his perpetually injured knee. After all, Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, called King’s inclusion ‘mad and pointless’. So when the Spurs skipper limped out yesterday Capello was the one whose sanity was being questioned for selecting him in the first place. Still, put it down to experience, eh Fabio? It was probably a silly idea anyway given King’s history of injury. Not a bit of it. King’s selection for this squad was no passing whim. For Capello, it was the chance to work with the best defender in England. That’s right. Ledley the Lame, King of the Crocks — the player who cannot train between matches because of his chronic knee — is rated that highly by the England boss. And make no mistake, Capello is more determined than ever to see King wear the Three Lions shirt while he is in charge. NOT KINGS , Rio Ferdinand and John Terry He may have to wait until June’s qualifiers against Kazakhstan away and Andorra at home. It may even be next autumn’s games against Slovenia, Croatia, Ukraine and Belarus — but King WILL play for Capello. The interest in the 28-year-old defender dates back to his first day in the England job. But in the 14 months since, the Italian has not even spoken to King let alone got to assess him. And that has been a source of great frustration since Capello regards King as a better all-round footballer than either John Terry or Rio Ferdinand. The reason? King has an ability to anticipate the movement of opponents and react before the point of attack becomes dangerous. His natural football ability also makes his decision-making on whether to play the man or the ball almost faultless. Interestingly, these are the hallmarks of all the great Italian defenders — especially Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini. Capello worked with both men at AC Milan and he sees their image in King and hence his determination to have him available. At the very highest level one moment can change the course of the game. It’s Capello’s belief that King’s instinct makes him the England defender most likely to cope in any circumstance. Advertisement He does not believe Terry or Ferdinand have those same qualities. So if King is fit for England then the choice is about who will be beside him at the heart of the defence. It is only because they rate King so highly that England chiefs want to see him up close. And Capello’s right-hand man, Franco Baldini, has been in frequent contact with Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy and was told King wanted the chance to join the squad. Yesterday, Capello and Baldini spent an hour with King and discussed his potential to play in tournaments. For them, a successful finals campaign is based on a squad not a team. Hence, if King played just one match at South Africa 2010, it could be vital to England’s chances. In the meantime, he was meant to play 45 minutes at Wembley against Slovakia on Saturday. That will not happen now but King’s England career is far from over. Capello knows now all about the limitations which afflict the player. He also knows King may only be physically able to play in three of the potential seven matches England could face in the summer. That does not mean his contribution might not be invaluable. If King is as good as Capello believes, it could be priceless. And that is why the manager will not be derailed in his ambition to take the player into his squad — regardless of criticism or ridicule. There have been a few times where Premier League coaches have chosen to slag Capello off in public. So far, he has maintained a diplomatic silence. As England players have already discovered, Capello’s management style is based on honesty. Everything is black and white for Fabio — even when black means puncturing the egos of some of the world’s most famous players. No one is untouchable. As one senior international put it after a tirade on how poor the midfield had been in possession during a practice match: “Sven was like Florence Nightingale compared to this guy.” King may well need a good nurse but as far as Capello is concerned, England need him to. |
Vie!! Wetin you dey talk ![]() U no fit face us now o! Lucky we weren't as solid as NOW when we met (0-0), anyway, you guys to me are still shaky, really, but Arshavin has been good to you, but I still see some defects, with us, its not like that , we have become solid and the results have proven this. Just observe, but you're lucky, u will still take 4th place, |
My manmustwac, na wah o!!!! Sorry sometimes I just forget say I get to come Naialand o!!! Sorry my Guy! Vieira? U still dey this forum? U don get mouth to speak now o after your gooners don dey win! |
Its as simple as this: Hi ALL!!!!!!!!!! * We havent LOST to all the Top teams in the League this season (and we aren't going to) * We were fighting too many WARS, in too many fronts after starting the season badly i.e. Carling Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Cup, Premier League, too many WARS! Especially when our season and team were in tatters after the first few games, * That was the origin of our crises , started badly, lost our mojo, playing too many competitions, we had to stop somewhere, * Now we are: 1. OUT of all other competitions 2. We have Wilson Palacios to put grit in the midfield 3. Ledley King & Jonathan Woodgate to pair up. 4. Luka Modric to roam around the field 5. Gomes playing better due the presence of Cudicini 6. And 'Ol Arry has the whole team playing their parts defensively, Jenas, Lennon, Bent 7. Assou-Ekoto & Lennon being in terrific form 8. Bentley, Zokora, Huddlestone, Chimbonda, Cudicini, Dawson, Campbell, Obika, Bostock, Rocha all on the bench (Thats a good bench) 9. Return of FULL confidence to the team, 10. The team is a TEAM as we speak! And you guys speak RELEGATION? Good show last Saturday, Keep it up guys! Come On You SPURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Hi guys!! 1-1, we are out of the UEFA cup, am actually relieved that we can now solely concentrate on the Premier League, As predicted, one of the 'Young Naija' guns played yesterday, Jonathan Obika (and he played well), Really we have HOT academy boys and they need to get a run in to boost their confidence, like, John Bostock, Kudos Oyenuga, Obika, Dean Parrett etc, Now we have to focus on the Carling Cup (win or lose), we then have to focus on survival!! We have pressing problems and we need NO distractions! Am actually VERY proud of the young guns that played yesterday! BRAVO! Good tidings ahead. ![]() |
Manmustwac, getting the Hotspur magazine is NOT such a big deal! Many poeple live in Nigeria and they subscribe for magazines such as Time, Readers Digest, The Economist etc etc !!!!!!!!!!! They get it through the post (NIPOST), its not that bad here! Also (Please) don't get emotional by talking like unenlightened football fans (especially the Gunner ones) . This talk about us fielding an E team against HULL is unnecessary! We fielded our strongest team against HULL coz we needed a win badly. We are definitely going to fill a weak team against Shakhtar Donetsk on Thursday, The UEFA cup is not priority, we need Premiership survival more than anything else and the Carling Cup too (though this will be tough against Man Utd who is hot at the moment) ![]() I do not really care what result we get on Thursday, I have resigned to that just like how we went out of the FA cup. Objectively Shakhtar was not superb on the day and we can achieve a result (possibly), but don't bet on this, maybe this time we may see two of our young Naija boys in the youth team who are doing well at the moment play (are u aware we have 2 young Naija boys in the academy?), Jonathan Obika & Kudos Oyenuga Anyway, just enjoy your club and your football, Hope we win the Carling Though! PEACE!!!!! ![]() |
Mukina !!! You don come o!! It will be fun to watch, who will win ![]() The Lilywhites of course!! ![]() |
HA! Finish above Chelsea Those hope's are TOO HIGH! |
Manmustwac, Just Chill out a bit and dont get too worked up when u get teased OK? It has been confirmed that Cudicini has joined spurs, its on Chelsea's website!! Fantastic!!! At least we finally have a seasoned keeper!! |
