I have been following this thread since buhari administration till date. it’s quite so sad and very disheartening the way APC Buhari’s-tinubu’s led religious Islamic bigots and most tribalistic 30k foot soldiers masturbate against the affairs of the igbo’s and portraying their existence while the admin is seeing it without taking any single action against them. I’m writing this to address this menace and putting a stop to it. It’s a shameful thing to let such activities going on in a media outlet like this. Let me remind you all that God created the igbo’s in a special kind of way and jealousy can’t take away our shine and I’m pretty sure that most of you are poor in history but karma is more than a bitch. Come to imo state today in ama Hausa , hospital junction owerri and other places. about 20 thousand northern youths are wandering around looking for daily bricklaying or whatsoever menial jobs to eat while the so called Yoruba youth in their numbers wandering around and acclaiming mechanic’s. You can never see Igbo man doing’s shoe polishing when we’re busy building hotels and other massive investments. God is not a man.

I doubt if we still have up to 1 million people left in Nigeria at this time. So where is that multidimensional poverty statistics coming from? If almost everybody can afford the cost of Japa that doesn't come cheap. This makes me to come to the conclusion that, Nigerians might not have money in their bank account, but majority have tangible assets that can be easily converted to cash if the need arises.

Some of the solutions are:
1.
If a station detains someone for more than 48 hours, the DPO should be sacked and his picture with his name should be published on a national newspaper.

2.
If the detained person gets injured or killed in the police custudy, the DPO and all the police officers on duty when it happened should be given life imprisonment.

3.
If something like the case narrated in this post happens in a State, the commissioner for police in that State should be sacked and his identity should be published on a national newspaper.

4.
The police officers at every checkpoint must have their police station boldly printed on their van, so that if anything goes wrong at that checkpoint, the DPO in charge of the station will either fish the officers out or get imprisoned.

All your points are good but won't work because one very important ingredient that will surely compel them to act rationally is lacking and that is THAT COMPENSATION SHOULD BE PAID FOR POLICE INFRACTIONS AND THE DPO WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS AGAINST THE POLICE
