SE will be crowned 2023 Afcon champion.
JP will leave immediately. The environment, NFF, fair weather fans, Journalists and crude analysts too toxic for comfort.
SE will not qualify for the World Cup 2026.

Joebie no 1 enemy masquerading like a true fan.
Goke7:
Let’s not deceive ourselves many people are just waiting for the eagles to fail either at the semis or finals to finally nail the coffin of Paseiro especially the anti Oshimen gang. Even if we win Afcon he will still receive the keshi treatment. Paseiro should leave after Afcon whether he wins or not. Am sure he will, he not signing the contract extension is a signal. Dude don upgrade im cv.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by dijon: 10:06am On Feb 06, 2024
Experiment...it will not end well. Brother this is knockout stage not group stage. Why destroy what is going on well for you as a manager.
SE is in good hand with the same tactic, formation and personnel employed since the Ivoire Coast match.
komekn:
Successful manager's try different things they don't do the same thing all the time.

The most important thing in football is opportunity. If Moffi is not given the opportunity to show what he can do , HOW WILL WE KNOW if Moffi can do better or even comparable.to VO.

Moffi is a different from VO let's try something different, it's very simple. We are not saying don't play VO, but we should try Moffi , for the first half and then VO in the second half.

You have a very wicked agenda against the coach. You have been on his case from the world cup qualifying and till this moment you have not desist from your subtle jabs.
Brother, the train has left the train station since oooo...
Joebie:
I’m not feeling sorry for Moffi or KC. Read and see reason. Their contribution may be needed in future. But they may be ineffective because they have seen zero action prior.

I think the game against Angola exposed Peseiro. It was bad idea not switching things up as things wore out. He wanted to die with the old script. Fortunately, we held on.

Absolutely.
Danielnino00:
I've my suspicion that the guy might be involved in match fixing based on how he conceded that goal against Saudi Arabia.. it reminds me of Ejide against Scotland in that pre world cup friendly in 2014..

Pick up form ke!! From where? Brother that team moral and mental state is abysmally very low now...the 4:0 CIV conceded at home will haunt them for a very long time. The players psychic is low.
kingphilip:
I'll prefer CIV doesn't make it past this round so that they don't pick up form in subsequent stages.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by dijon: 8:54pm On Jan 24, 2024
Ekambi is not a midfielder. Unnecessary panic mode again....pls relax..the SE is on track...
daveP:
If Rigobert Song use the defensive setup we used vs CIV to play us, do we have the grits to crack it down? This KO stage, we will need OTHER attacking threats asides VO to prosecute reaching the final, in game.

What's the midfield setup that will neutralize Ekambi and Anguissa?

We have the personnel for that formation.

What do you guys think ?

Does Siasia deserve forgiveness and his case reviewed by FIFA
After all Sepp Blatter was also found guilty for corruption cases

Siasia has the best cv when it comes to home grown coaches
I understand football has changed compared to 5 years ago

Don’t you guys think he’s better than Peseiro
Especially in sourcing for competent local content to infuse in the team 😅😂
We need to rebuild post Afcon and Peseiro will not take NPFL guys serious
He’d only waste money to go around the country to watch games he’s not really interested in
No other coach in Nigeria has a better cv than him

How market ?
Marjoribanks:
Ghana with Kudus is unstoppable!

Ghana will definitely win by a large margin!

Ghana has the midfield movement and wingers to win this game.

Kudus Samad/Isshaku and Ashimeru is one of the best midfield you could get in Africa. Fast, technical and can shoot!

Painstail and Semeyon will destroy Mozambique.

The flow of the game from 75mins was very delicate...JPES did what he ought to do by closing the defence up putting more bodies there....if he had removed Alex it would have been a disaster....a new midfielder would have committed a penalty or gotten a red card.

Iwobi was tired and the coach left him till the entire generation

Tactics and formation determine the potency of a team attack.
Our formation of 532 when off the ball and 343 when with the ball would not yeild more than 2 goal. Cote d' Ivoire is a good team.
Mujtahida:
For all the fawning talk about Nigeria's attack, our attack is ineffective.

On a lighter note....Uzoho would have thrown Fofana shot into our net....thumbs up to JPES for hearing our cry to drop that chap....he was a calamity waiting to explode.

How else do you want them to play against a very good team, good players and host country. Please the game SE play was scientific , it need not be pretty but excellent.
Ppogbae:
It wasn't pretty but a win is a win. I may have my reservations about this squad, but I'll rejoice in their successes. Congrats to the boys and to Peseiro on his first marquee victory.

Thank God we did not lose the match. I still have the opinion Sanusi did well for a defender but i cant stick my neck out for Osimhen and Simon, but i believe they would play better and give us goals in the next match.
Kog45:
The two chances are too elementary just like Osimhen one on one chance but good we didn't lose the match if we lost then we will know how importantly those chances are to our progression in the group.

I watched the recap of the match and I want to tell you that Sanusi,Simon and Onyeka didn't have good match and only plus for Osimhen was the goal he scored.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by dijon: 9:05am On Jan 17, 2024
Chief, i guess its because Sanusi missed two sitters that day. While, to me i think he did very well, not forgetting his primary job on the field which i believe he performed very well.
Lets take into consideration the length of the field he ran to make himself available for those missed goals and we appreciate the effort he put in for the team to succeed.
I think the only replacement due to injury should be Yussuf.
Kog45:
Do we need to find right partner for him to perform? He has not brings EPL performance to super eagles either as CB or LB but I will pick him ahead of Sanusi that I watched against EG.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by dijon: 10:15pm On Jan 13, 2024
Maybe the tension generated been the opening match i feel this Ivorian team will not qualify for the quater finals.
The only player with passion is Fofona and he has his demerit too...he leaves gaps in the middle with his constant foray upward. Take it to the bank this ivorian team will not beat SE and EG.
Joebie:
Na opener that are most times drab u wan use take judge. Na second match go be the koko.
