Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Fresh Graduates Discover Unseen Job Openings And Opportunities by Dimaya: 9:11am On Jul 19, 2023
Again, I'll repost what I said in an earlier thread:

The video offer great and practical advice. But it's incomplete and leaves out the part where you might need to relocate for work.

No matter how willing you are to take up the lowest jobs, some places don't just have them available e.g. Yakurr in cross river state. It is a civil service state. Unless you want to be the village headmaster or you want to be the tailor 's apprentice, the roles are not just there.

Other than that, there's very sound information in the video. Thanks for sharing

For most folks, there's very little hopes out here by way of employment opportunities fresh out of school. What do you do in a man-know-man world like Nigeria when you don't have 'long-legs",

This video offers a few practical but controversial counsel like:

-Take up the very first job offer regardless of how crappy or blue collar it is.

In addition, they're advised on how to go about managing the transition from that first crappy, low-paying job into the career of their dreams. The advice is practical, easy to apply but requires a lot of patience, humility and a brutal reality check about employment opportunities in today's job market.

I hope you find something useful in the video, and all the best with your job search.

A female friend of mine is relocating to Lagos and she came across this video in which a young lady declares that she eats over 4k food per day in lagos. That's 120K per month just on food for one person.

Although the young men in the room were amazed by her food expense breakdown, it appears this is considered normal for single women in lagos. What do you think?

So lagos people, over to you all. Is 4,000 expected as food expenses a single lady in lagos considering today's prices? How much do you guys spend on food everyday? How much should my female friend budget for food daily? She will be living alone in Surulere and working at Ademola-Adetokunbo?

Please let us know.

I know of a newly married couple with a baby who decided the wife should leave first and she wrote the man it was over after getting there. He is yet to get over it.

Your dad is a paedophile. Sleeping and impregnating a 15 yrz old girl. Apart from looking like sisters with her daughter, what else has your mum achieved?
You'd be surprised his mom has learnt a lot. She has learnt to manage a home, raise responsible children. dont shame women for making responsible choices.

Up till 1960, most people died before age of 40. It wasn't unusual to be a grandfather at the age of 35-40.
Jobs/VacanciesHow To Handle Close Betrayal At Work [like A BOSS] by Dimaya(op): 3:10pm On Jul 18, 2023
The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies.

How do you handle the betrayals that comes with work relationships, love-interests and loved ones?

If you're an honourable person, you tend to think that everybody else is honourable. But the world doesn't function that way. Throughout history, as documented in the shakespearean tragedies, people have always betrayed themselves over the position, money, love, hurt, envy and just plain greed.

SO how do you go about handling the betrayals that inevitably comes from close quarters- from close colleagues, lovers, friends and family? How?
In this popular video, everyday Nigerians share their experiences of how their love was abused, lover was stolen and money was swindled. Please watch and let's share our thoughts.

If my decision to roll with a man who is financially responsible is the definition of arrogance, then thanks for the compliment.
A financially responsible man will not be dashing people 200K up and down. The type of man you described in your earlier post is not a financially responsible man

nairaland members don't give advice they look for your mistakes and judge you according. If you don't have one, like typographical error they will always manufacture one psychologically to taunts you.
Depends though. I've gotten some of the best advice from nairaland though
