Dayo,arsenal wont die if wenger becomes unable to continue as coach. But lets face it. Wenger has been coach here for how many years now,14 or thereabouts. And he won trophies last as far back as 5 years. A long time. But after all these years of not winning,the fan base still increase. Why is that? Is it cos we finish top four? Or cos we play in europe every team? I say no. Its the style of football that we play. Thats what we sell and have been successful in 'marketing'. Many ppl didnt like the game of football until they got to watch some arsenal games. So if our coach leaves,what 'product' do we sell? A new coach will bring his own ideas. Ideas that may not uphold the kinda footie our fans have enjoyed. We want trophies,but we love the way we play too

AW has got so many things wrong in the past few years. Lettin certain players go,not adequately preparin for injuries and been too shrewd in the transfer market. But is that really sufficient to call for his head? why throw the baby away along with the water. Wenger made Arsenal what it is today. Arsenal wouldnt have been any better than Everton or Aston Villa if not for him. And even with the inadequacies of the team,we are still a respected side. Any team that understimates us does that at itw peril. We will come good eventually. But I admit we MUST sign established players. We just have to. If not,there wont be any silverware.

Big spending guarantees top quality players. Having acquired such players,a good coach moulds a strong team and is better positioned to win silverware. You can have world class players and still not even be good as a team. Wenger,in recent years,hasnt been in a position to make £20M signings like manu,chelse,city and the rest have. On his relativlely low transfer kitty,he has tried successfully to keep arsenal among england's top teams. Its a no-brainer that JM, Fergie and whoever you can name CANT keep a team like arsenal in the top four consistently in a league like england's with a small transfer budget. Tottenham have spent heavily in recent years,and have only broken into the top four once in those years. City will be contended to finish in arsenal's worst finish in all these 'trophyless years' the mor0ns keep talkin of,yet City have spent outrageously. Lets not even talk liverpool,I'm tired of that example.

Its not built around any individual player so even if there is one underperformer,we hope the team's overall performance can grind out a win when needed. Clichy has been a calamity all season. He isnt exactly good upfront and he is a shame at the back. Yet he plays a very sensitive position. I wonder if barca will still be interestd in him. Even Abidal couldnt perform worse. We need to get another left back,who and where from? thats the scouts duty. Gibbs may eventually be more suited for that arshavin position,dude is so confident and good with crosses,yet has defensive abilities. The problem this season has been easy to nail. Wenger prepared for injuries,but that Verm lay-off was wickedly ill-timed. We have four CBs. Two are experience in epl,one of the other two can be escribed as veteran and the last one is doing his best to fit in record time. I think thats sufficient. I dont buy the idea that we need a new CB. Why not buy a clinical striker? Hopefully,madrid take clichy and give us Benzino.

I only said the obvious. It is clear by now that we have been poor defensively. The defense cant go on with newcomers and I think by now,Verm is used to english footie. He will add stability to that line. I didnt say we will win the league if he returns now.

Its true that arsenal's game is almost neglectful of the importance of a ruthless,no-nonsense backline. And thats another reason we are the way we are. the CB's should be more tough. Manure,Chelsee and even Villa have HARD CBs. Our inclination to technicality makes it hard to be physical. You need to be physical to win aerial balls,and get the better of the drogbas and the Carrols. Right now we just dont have such ballers.

we dont need a another manager. Our prof of manager has been too lenient on underperformin players. Arshavin has bn lazy and song irresponsive. The others have done pretty well. Chamack,nasri,walcott and ALL our defenders have put in their best. If EVERYONE of the players put in their all, it'll be a different story. If wenger cant wake the sleepin players up,we will be like this for a while. I drool when I see players like kuyt and tevez who put in all their strenght without been pushed. Wenger's genius really could do with such players. If wenger leaves,its the end of entertaining footie in england. I am not a fan of 'winning at all costs'. Would be nice to win with this guys,and I am optimistic that we will win trophies. We have a capable squad. When verm returns,our defense will contribute as much as required to win. Always a Gunn!
