I have fallen in love with my colleague. She has been so helpful and close to me. We hangout a lot and she creates time for me. She dots me. She is always in a hurry to help and support. If i have a complaint she scampers to look for solution. She buys me lunch and surprises me with snacks and gifts.

I a have a place to go and I impromptu tell her. She volunteers to drive me there. She has a car and I don't. E speak at length every day. Morning and night.

In all this, I reciprocate the gestures. I show her love and respect.

After about a year. I came to the conclusion that I want to date her against my principle of dating colleagues. We once lodged in a hotel where i made my intentions clear. She said she was in a relationship. A distant one but the guy is ready to marry her. He has met her parents.

I know women love to keep their options open to avoid disappointment but i felt betrayed because how is she making out time for me.

I have re-emphasized my interest on two more occasions. She is thinking about it. I feel she wants to go ahead with the marriage plans.

So i have moved on. Cut off consistent communications with her. I rarely respond to her message especially if they are not work related. I have subtly told her that we cannot be having a subtle affair.

She doesn't seem to keep off. She has maintained her fake interest in me.

What do i do?

So, yesterday, 8th of May, 2023, I finally decided to let go of someone I've made an habit. It's been over six years I met her.

We've been very good friends and kind to each other in our ways. The thing is, I fell in love with her deeply, and she said she doesn't feel the same towards me. We talk for hours. The flow was too smooth. We understand each other to a great level. I still find it difficult to believe she didn't feel a thing for me.

I decided to kill my feelings for her and keep her as a friend. It didn't just work.

I recently knew she's now in a relationship with someone else. She told me.

So, I finally decided to let go of someone I've made an habit. I needed to.

My mum was refused, a visit visa in 1995( first ever refusal) She is a retiree, she retired in 2019 and was not paid her pension until mid 2022. Last year she applied to attend my brother’s graduation but was denied the visa because she has not received her pension. She stated in her application last year, that her daughter was going to sponsor her trip.

Last year, the fed govt paid her pension and we decided she apply again this year. My brother got his tier 2 visa and also sent all his supporting documents.

She was refused again on the basis that she has large deposits in her account. The large sum is her pension lump sum payments that the govt paid, which we explained in a cover letter and also attached the pension documents and bank statement highlighting the deposits.

They also mentioned inconsistent monthly spending- we tried to calculate her monthly expenses and arrived at that figure. However, that cannot be accurate because sometimes, she spend more than 150k monthly, buying medications and a few other things that is just one time purchases. We give her monthly income( money from family) and also the monthly pension stipend she receives from the govt and calculated all of this, that’s how we arrived at yearly income.

Additionally, the Visa officer mentioned 3 refusals and she has just 2 ( the one in 1995 and the one last year).

I have attached the refusals, the one for last year and the most recent one this year. Please attached. I am so pained and I feel like she should reapply because the reasons for refusal is just something else. How soon do you think she should reapply and what do you all think we should have done better.

Please what do you all think? I would appreciate the feedback.

I was refused a visa in 2021 and I lost my US student visa refusal letter. It is required for a student visa application I’m making to the UK, I was given a conditional offer to the school pending when I send the letter across. I have explained in a letter that I have lost the letter and stated the reason for my denial (home ties), but they’re still insisting on the letter, what do I do please?

My gf broke up with me when I said I want to travel to Lagos to hustle as there are limited opportunities and jobs in Taraba but I was surprised that it was met with stiff rejection from my gf.

According to her if I leave, I will dump her and as such , she decided to break up with me. I'm seriously hurt and right now I am considering dropping my hustle trip to Lagos in order to build my relationship with my girl.

My worst fear came true.
My ex came crawling back after I started getting serious with another girl.

I apologize for disturbing you, unauthorized.

Firstly, I intend to apply for a tourist UK Visa.

Previous Travel History: Morocco (Sticker Visa), Lebanon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo and Benin. (Pending SA visa)

2. I work as a Freelancer meaning self-employed however I have my "brand/company" ID card but the business is not registered.

3. I have 2 bank accounts: 1 for my day to day activities (the balance is always low) and the second is primarily for savings (with about 10M) as the closing balance.

4. There's no pay slip nor any note in my transactions stating a "salary". Always, I change USD and I get the exchange value normally in naira via exchangers.


With all I've said above, do you think I have a chance? Or I shouldn't even bother?


PS: I want to do this because I've been previously denied A US visa hence I want to visit a Tier 1 country before trying the USA visa again.

I visited the UK for 20 days and i am back to Nigeria. I still have about 3 months valid visa left.

I want to apply for a visit around august, but i want to do it early enough.

Can i apply now against august with the valid 3 months visa i have, or should i wait till it expires?

Also, Some people are saying i have to apply for another 6 months, before i can apply for 2 years. Can i apply for 2 years Visa straight after the first 6 months, or must i apply for another 6 months?

Thanks for the contributions so far, amount declared as spending is 100k, I will attach a copy of the bank statement, first, the Eco claimed I had only 5 salary credits if you count you will see 6, i ticked the salaries with pink, secondly, he said there was a deposit on 02/06/2022, whereas I didn't submit a statement for the month of June, maybe he asked from the bank, even if he did I don't have a deposit on that day mentioned. I think he was complaining about my opening balance i don't think that should be his problem if I had 500k I might decide to save some of my salaries and also decide to spend some and save 500k like it was.



The only error I can find on the account is on the 14th of July someone credited and debited my account within 2 mins I believe it was a transaction done by mistake by the bank and I address it on my cover letter.

Now if you look at the credits there is no other credit aside from interest from the bank and the above-mentioned.

Good evening house finally the decisions came today and all were refused, I think the UK embassy is presently tired of granting visitors visas so I will take a break here till they are willing again, but I will still like to share the refusal notes maybe few people can use it to work towards their own applications afterward, and if there is any advise to share to enable us to change status when applying in future.
