Good day Everyone
I’m New here.
Please I need help on Relocating to the UK as a nurse.
I really don’t know how to start or where to start from or what should be done first.
I just want to know the basis of where to begin.
Thanks.
NMC UK and NMCN verification first. Pass your IELTS exam. Pass your Adult CBT exam and/or mental health exam. Start searching for nursing jobs that offer Sponsorship. Attend interviews and make the best out it. This information might not be all but that's the little I copied. You can start searching for nursing jobs now and the stated requirements will guide you on what to have ready.

Cuteandkind:
Greetings My Good People of Nairaland.

Please I need suggestions on an offer I have.

I am a Registered Nurse, hoping to relocate to UK. I have passed through all the steps and currently preparing to write my OSCE in the UK. I had to sponsor myself to UK for my OSCE exams.

So recently I got job offers from 2 NHS Trusts in UK after passing their job interviews. They are willing to give me COS for my Skilled Worker Visa Processing, but none is willing to make any financial commitment for my relocation.

THEY MADE IT CLEAR THEY DO NOT OFFER ANY RELOCATION PACKAGE.

This means I have to;

Pay the Skilled Worker Visa Fees myself
Pay NHS Surcharge myself
Pay for flight
Pay for my TB tests myself
And even cater for my accomodation on arrival.

The cost runs into millions of naira, which I do not have.

My questions;

1. Does anyone thing the offer is worth it, and should I accept it considering how difficult it is getting NHS offers now?

2. If I decide to go through Health and Care Worker Visa Route, the visa processing fees will be cheaper than Skilled Worker, but is it advisable?

3. Is it advisable to take a loan and invest in the relocation plans, since I have an offer already?

Every suggested will be appreciated.

I still find it difficult to believe that Nigeria don’t earn enough forex from sale of crude oil and natural gas. I think there should be a comparison of what we earn as fx and what fx we spend on imports. That way we’ll know if truly we’re not exporting enough or we’re spending too much fx importing. We’ve been importing for decades and the Naira never had this type of free fall and lost so much value in short periods of time.

Note that we also have players that export other raw materials in significantly large volume and these players receive dollars.

My life have been stagnant for like 4-5 years now. I work in a factory and I also sow clothes.
I've not been able to spend money on myself or to pursue my dream as a result of family responsibilities.
I'm a drop out of FUOYE and I'll so much love to go back to school but the plan has been failing for 2 years now.

I've obtained a part time form from Adekunle Ajasin University Ibadan campus last month hoping to start the new session next year but my problem now is that I have a brother that just finished HND 1, his rent has expired and he'll pay his school fees this January.
I paid his rent and school fees for HND 1 and he has notified me for HND 2.
My fear now is that time us running out for me (I'm 27yrs now) as I sincerely wanted to go back to school but I can't sponsor myself and two siblings.

Should I wait for another year or everybody should carry his cross?
your brother should use his OND to work and sponsor himself for HND while you pursue your own education while you are still young.

After trying medicine 3 times. I had to settle for a science course. I'm currently done with my first degree, NYSC and doing a little job by the side.

The thing is, i want to go back to medical school. I have a burning desire to study medicine, i dream about it everyday and would be rather unfulfilled if i don't study medicine.

The questions i have are:

1. I intend to start my study in my late 20s. Hopefully 28,29,or at 30years old.

2. What are the disadvantages of studying medicine and graduating in my late 30s.?

3. How is employment at that age?

What are the difficulties i should expect?

Be brutally honest. Thanks

cc: Lagusta bcomputer101
Do it if that's your passion, life is not sweet when you live unfulfilled in it. Doctor job opportunities doesn't have age brackets or age requirement. Difficulty you should expect is assimilation at the age you have much more responsibilities, you need proper balancing to balance your survival job and your new carrier path, it's possible but requires planing.

Does that mean those that files PAP/JR are sort of victimised?
No. the results or final response to PAP is after 3months, and you might want to reapply within 3months, then no need for PAP/JR since you are ready to readdress thier concerns and make possible corrections. The only people that might be a victim of JR are those that claim asylum went on to Judicial Review and lost again.

Daddie1:
I just had a UK Visa refusal for the second time. I had taken key learnings from here to support the second application but I was surprised that it was met with a refusal.

Reason?

That I had over 5 million within the period of report. However, this money which they saw as credit into my account was a wrong debit on my POF account that was reversed. The case officer didn't interpret it as a reversal but took it as a new credit.

Second reason was that the amount I put to spend on the 2 weeks trip is too much for that period. I put that amount considering flight return ticket and my expenses in the UK but the case officer just took it that I wanted to spend that alone in the UK.

Moving forward, I have a wedding that I have been invited for February 2024. I would like to know if it's still fine to reapply in January and what steps I can take to improve my chances for an approval.

Lastly, what amount would be recommended as ideal to put as money I intend to spend to avoid them saying "this form of expenditure on a short trip of this nature is disproportionate to your current circumstances".
don't just quote a budget without expenses explanation and your intention with backup documents. Thats why there's cover note in your form and you are advised to include cover letter explaining your budget+daily Intentions+ statement of account breakdown or explantation which includes debits and credits and starting balance explanation. you can reapply as soon as you are able to address this

If you are not reapplying so soon or intend to reapply. You can send A letter to them explaining why you deserve the visa if their concerns has been answered in your application.

You should send a pre-action protocol (PAP) letter to Home Office UKVI before filing an immigration Judicial Review (JR) in Court and ask the Home Office UKVI to reconsider its refusal decision within 14 days.

What Is A Pre-Action Protocol (PAP)
A pre-action protocol (PAP) letter is a letter written to the Home Office, UKVI in order to try and resolve a dispute concerning an immigration matter before Judicial Review (JR) proceedings are started against the Home Office UKVI. A Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) letter may also be called a ’letter before claim’ or a ’letter before action’. All of these terms refer to the same thing.

Purpose Of Pre-Action Protocol (PAP)
The purpose of pre-action protocol (PAP) letter is to identify the issues in dispute and establish whether litigation with the Home Office, UKVI can be avoided. The letter contains the date and details of the immigration decision (the refusal letter), act or omission of the Home Office UKVI being challenged and a clear summary of the facts on which the Judicial Review claim against the Home Office, UKVI is based. It also contains the details of any relevant information that the applicant is seeking from the Home Office, UKVI and an explanation of why this is considered relevant.

Response To Pre-Action Protocol (PAP)
Immigration Judicial Review (JR) proceedings against the UKVI are not normally issued until the proposed reply date given in the letter before claim has passed, unless the circumstances of the immigration case require more immediate action to be taken. Home Office UKVI, should normally respond to letter before action (pre-action protocol letter) within 14 days and Home Office UKVI may face cost implications for failure to respond to pre-action protocol (PAP) letter unless there are good reasons for not responding within that period.

An application for permission to apply for Judicial Review can be filed in the Upper Tribunal or Administrative Court (High Court), as the case may be, if the Home Office, UKVI do not respond to the pre-action protocol letter within 14 days or the Home Office UKVI responds within 14 days but maintains their decision to refuse the immigration application.

The protocol does not affect the time limit specified by CPR Part 54.5(1) namely that an application for permission to apply for Judicial Review (JR) must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after the grounds upon which the claim is based first arose.

Hello,

I would appreciate some help with my sister’s visa. She just received her third refusal(attached). We are quite confused about what happened with her CAc registration and are checking to see if she was scammed.

I wanted her to attend my baby’s christening which is unlikely to happen. I was going to suggest waiting until next summer the applying again.

Would it be easier if I offer to sponsor her trip 100% while she only declares her employment? I did this for my brother (they were meant to be travelling together) and he was successful.

Please help. I spent a lot of time on her application.

We did a spreadsheet explaining the source of her income with receipt. Her husband also wrote a letter confirming his monthly contribution to her account. I also provided all my details (house documents, payslip, British passport, invitation card and photos) I'm not sure what else can be done.

Would it be easier if I offered to pay for all her expenses? Help

And search for the company they helped you to register,if it's not there, then the E.C.O was right. His/her monthly outgoing funds is above the amount declared, That's discrepancy.

@Giselle,
Thanks for your response. Please I want you to understand where am coming from in regards to this subject matter.

I applied for an entry visa to attend a business conference ( Representing my Employer).I submitted letter of Introduction/Sponsorship from my Employer and the Company's Business Statement of account.

The Eco acknowledged my Employer's documents and sponsorship letter. The ECO mentioned that in as much as my employer is sponsoring me,that it is important to consider my financial circumstances.

As at the time I applied for the Visa, the balance in my personal account which I submitted was about N375,000.00.

The ECO said the balance in my account do not convince them that I will leave the UK if granted Visa.

However I have other means of income which I didn't include in my application.

1. I have monthly savings with a Social Club and also receive House Rent at the end of the year, that is what I am talking about. If I can also add this source of funds into my salary account with documentary proof.

My Employer is financially capable of sponsorship my trip for the conference and they stated the benefits of the conference to me as a staff and them as my Employer.

So I need advise on how to get this application right.

I have also attached the refusal letter to this message.

Note; My monthly salary has been increased at the beginning of this year 2023.
The ECO said aside the monthly income, there are unexplained deposit. That's why Cover Note and Cover Letter including Supporting documents is needed. In your cover note and Cover letter, let the ECO know that other transfer asides salary is from so so so income and you have included so so so supporting documents to prove it's source. That way you have a say Incase it gets omitted or skipped. The ECO wasn't curious of why the company is sponsoring you but that could be the reason for the next so please digest the advise above me.

What should I do in this case? Still waiting for decision for a child dependant though. Kindly advise
If there's still time for correction, you can apply for correction before flying. if no there's no time, then you can fly with the visa and apply for correction when you land.

I also want to make the house know that my salary has been increased and I also have other legitimate source of income.I am married and own the house where I live.

The actual balance in my savings account as at the time I applied for my Visa was #375,000 naira and I submitted my Employees account statement and all CAC documents. In the introduction and sponsorship letter,my Employer stated how long I have been employed( Over 9 years) and also stated the benefit of attending the conference as a senior staff and the accrued benefit to the Employer as well.

Like I said I have other source of income such as rent and sales of Electronics which I didn't present such bank account statement as I relied on the turn over of my Employer's Statement of account which was in the tune of about #150,000,000 million in 6 months.

The deposits/transfers into my salary account as mentioned by the VO range from like 5k to 150k and I did some explaination in regards to this deposits.

I submitted my
1.Deed Of Assignment (Property)
2.Marriage Certificate/Children Birth Certificate.
3. Consent Letter From My Wife.
4. Letter from My Legal Adviser/ Catholic Priest.
5.Letter of Invitation From the Conference Organizers.

I humbly wait for the advise of the gurus in the house.

God bless you all.

the E.C.O didn't acknowledge your CAC document and your explanation to your other income reflecting on your account. Please have Your Tax documents when next, that should assist your application because I notice you never talked about it or included it. It has always been my dream to join the military or any paramilitary organization in Nigeria (joining the DSS is my top preference) however I am unsure of the steps to take. I understand the value of having the right information, especially in our country, and I'm hoping to benefit from the knowledge of fellow Nairalanders to gather relevant information that can assist me and others.

With that in mind, I seek counsel from Nairalanders who possess knowledge about aspects of my career choice that I may not be familiar with. I hold a BSc in Psychology (2:1). I know what I read and I am truly dedicated to this path.

What should I know?
How should I go about it?
When do they start recruitment?
What are the requirements?

Thank you.

Please Note: I am not looking for unethical means to achieve my goal, and constructive criticism is also welcome as long as it is relevant.
