You are lying bro. Orlu is not a large city to even be classified and the urban center has one of the best roads in Nigeria. You can hardly find unpaved road in the urban area now. Maybe one to three streets only.
Even Okigwe has good inner roads as well. The difference with Orlu is that Orlu town has about 6 good dual carriage ways while Okigwe has one bad dual carriageway.
If I had known, I would have snapped pictures of the roads I saw in Imo. I am not talking about the six dual carriage ways you said are in Orlu. I am talking about the other internal untarred roads that are a disaster - red dust. Such roads can be in a village but not allowed in urban clusters.

Classification of Orlu as one of the most polluted cities in Nigeria visit: https://www.nairaland.com/3716582/list-dirtiest-cities-africa-number#55153384

Politics › Re: Troops Arrest 2 Boko Haram Spies As Another High Profile Terrorist Surrenders by discusant: 2:07pm On Apr 01, 2017
In France recently, our VP Osinbajo said Boko Haram was caused by corruption in government.

Chai, no type of lies man no fit hear from southern politicians who are looking forward to Arewa to make them president of Nigeria.

One governor from the east, also with eye on the presidrncy, once said that the killing of a woman from his state in Kano by Islamic extremists was a sacrifice for Nigeria's unity.

Truth is that Boko Haram and Islamic extremists are fighting to make Nigeria an Islamic Republic, corruption has no link with the two groups.

Guess why Afonjas put in everything while blackmailing easterners agitating for a new country from Nigeria.

And how could any Victor Attah, or indeed, any non-Igbo from the southsouth, not yet understand that it's easiest for the southsouth to get anything, including fiscal federalism or NDR from Bia.. than from complex Nigeria?

Rate between him and all the past Governors combined and understand how wickedly people can lie all to discredit him.
Guy, guess why that Orlu is classiffied by the new WHO Release as one of the five most polluted cities in Nigeria.

I agree because I just returned from Imo last week. I praised the Imo governor to some extent, the governor not bad in the state capital.
But I wowed for that Orlu; inside the town, off this major road, the roads are shiit, either abandoned or plain raw.
Garbage dumps were circled by vehicles as roundabouts. Dust from the streets coated all houses. It's like the Orlu is abandoned by government, true; even state government traffic wardens who clustered in junctions at the state capital, some taking style to beg money from motorists, you can't find even one outside the capital, there's hardly police, unlike in the capital at every short distance.
A few persons in the Orlu recounted that the governor is not in love with the place.

But if I am your governor, I wouldn't condescend to becoming so petty and mean to my subjects because I have power.

Abagworo:
Rochas Okorocha has built dual carriageways from Owerri to Orlu and several within Orlu town and another from Orlu to Urualla and presently another is to kick off from Orlu to Nkwerre. In addition to these he has built 15km of rural roads in all the LGAs and is presently building another 33km in Ideato North alone. No Governor can equal that record in the next 50 years in addition to free education from primary to tertiary level.
That Orlu you mention, the inner city roads are shiit if you fork off that one road from Owerri to Ideato. Stories are that the present Imo government has little or no regard for the people.

Anyway, one man told us that Nigeria is a zoo, they put the man in Kuje prison in the north. Some southern Nigerians clap for Buhari for that.
Politics › Re: "Resign Now", Abdulmumin Jibrin To Buhari by discusant: 8:32pm On Mar 31, 2017
Jibrin suggests that another VP from the north be nominated by President Buhari, then Buhari can hand over to the new VP.
We'll, this is supposed to be an eye-opener for people of the SW who forged alliance with north in aged Buhari, with the hope that SW can do piggyback ride to Aso Rock.

The north holds every southern tribe in the jurgular through the 20 federal units which north created in northern Nigeria through northern soldiers.

Even a goat from the north can win the most educationally qualified southerner in Nigeria's presidential election through the twenty states political structure of the north.

The Bola Tinubus of the SW no longer see the rogue political structure rigged against the south, no longer ask for political restructuring. Wow.

None of the above. Only reason they go for Mercedes-Benz instead of patronize Nigeria -made cars is because their love for Nigeria is lip love. Only crude oil joins Nigerians.
Politics › Re: Senate Approves E-Voting, Passes Amendment To Electoral Act by discusant: 6:35pm On Mar 30, 2017
Nigeria was politically restructured with 20 states proliferated in the once one northern region, but only 17 states in the once two southern regions, with result that even a goat from the north of Nigeria can win a most-qualified presidential candidate from the south of Nigeria.

So voting system changes little. A presidential candidate needs 25% of votes in 24 states to win.

Even a goat from the north can win 25% votes from the 19 states littered every corner of the north.

There should have been more states in the south than in the north

Land mass is never used as yard stick to derive new federal units from the existing federal units in a federal country.
Politics › Re: Senate Approves E-Voting, Passes Amendment To Electoral Act by discusant: 6:28pm On Mar 30, 2017
Most important: let the 15 million Diaspora Nigerians vote in presidential elections.

The result from abroad must be more accurate to the results obtained in Nigeria.

We no longer want the most qualified candidates losing to the old, least educated and least qualified presidential candidates.

Owerri is becoming unsafe everyday with the number of crimes committed in the states by jobless youth, cults guys, kidnappers, politicians etc etc

Last week some student were kidnapped and taken to an unknown place.. The one that escaped nearly died because of stress, injuries sustained during the escape, long run and days of sleeping in the bush. (nekede student)

Just a month ago I lost my bestie to death by suspected cultist.. Just because he was aiming to be the next youth president in his community.. The incumbent presido ordered his boys to kill him..

Talking of IMSU the death rate of students is obviously higher there than FUTO and NEKEDE.. The govt need to wake up to security in the state

The number of crimes committed in owerri on a daily basis is alarming. One wonders the work of the state govt

RIP go the dead
Okoroawusa the governor congregates Imo people in Owerri as he deposits every project of his government only in Owerri where they can easily be seen by the public to recommend him for president of Nigeria. What a petit-minded man as governor of a State.
Crime › Re: Another IMSU Student Murdered By Suspected Cultists In Owerri. Graphic Pics by discusant: 2:39pm On Mar 30, 2017
Deaths in Imo state if not from Okorocha's road dividers without warning signs on higways, or from Okorocha's endless roadworks, or from dusts on endless road works, or from cultists.

The governor is only interested in who and what can make him president of Nigeria in future.

That's the price northern Nigeria which refused fiscal federalism makes all of us pay in Nigeria.

With fiscal federalism, there shouldn't have been Niger delta militants.

There shouldn't have been Boko Haram if Nigeria practices fiscal federalism.

With fiscal federalism and ensuing peaceful atmosphere in Nigeria, countries wouldn't have been abandoning doing business with Nigeria.

Northern Nigeria holds every body in Nigeria at the jugular.

But the presidency has since declared that Boko Haram has been defeated.

Truth is that Boko Haram can only end when those states that adopted Islamic sharia criminal justice system denounce sharia criminal justice system. Boko Haram also says it is fighting for a territory or Nigeria to be governed by Islamic sharia criminal justice department.

Another method to end Boko Haram is dissolve Nigeria.

If Nigeria were well structured, state could borrow funds from one another. They can even form partnership agreement for development. Nigerian are suffering for nothing. They need change not promise.
Point.

But Nigeria can't be restructured unless crude oil finishes in the Nigerdelta. SW and North are together in this.

Whenever you hear SW talk about political restructuring, what they mean is going back to regional government system but crude oil proceeds shared as done now.

Benue state governor should Bury his black face shame. What is he doing with his monthly allocation and security vote?

Thesame governor who can't protect his people from fulani herdsmen, can't pay pensioners and can't repair bad roads in his state.

This is the worst governor in my opinion.
Ortom's federal allocations for Benue state is largely consumed on guarding Benue people against the onslaught of Fulani killers.

Have u forgotten soon how Nigerians accused Buhari, that he will be a dictator? Was it not to placate them that PMB decided not to interfare? Hard he interfered in the election of NASS principled officers, many would have called for his head. He allowed them, saraki emerged, now you all are turning against him. He wants to use force to fight corruption, u peep will scream rule of law...his govt accused SP and DSP of forging Senate rule, took saraki to court for false asset declaration, many Nigerians cried witch-hunt and even became over-night Saraki's loyalists...many forgot that the president controls the armed forces, the security apparatus, the fund of government etc, u think it is anything for the president to constitute a league of assassins to start taking out these economic saboteurs calling themselves lawmakers? He can as well do a control bombing of NASS and make it look like boko haram's handiwork. Then I will see where the NASS will congregate to impeach him. The president wields too much power, he just wanna play the cool guy..plz just leave PMB out o this..
It Nigerians that brought this on themselves
Till tomorrow, Buhari is still interested in picking who shall be the principal officers of the Senate.

It's God's intervention that got the Senators a quorum to elect the senior officers of the National Assembly while Buhari's APC was still meeting elsewhere to choose who Buhari wanted for the principal offices of the Senate
If the APC had had the choice of Buhari as officers of the Senate, Idi Amin's Uganda would have been better than Nigeria by now.

The senate are misusing power
Buhari abuses power a million times more than whatever power abuse by the Senate.

Now that Senator Ndume long accused of association with Boko Haram is benched, it's a shorter route to impeach Ndume's staunch ally, President Buhari, who has committed several constitutional blunders.

But for the sagacity in politics displayed by Saraki-Ekweremadu group in conducting election into the principal offices of the Senate, Nigeria must have become another Uganda under Idi Amin.

I often laugh at Igbo parents speak English language to their kids in private and in public. Inferiority complex.
