Any Igbo that fails to see reasons for current increase in the agitation for Biafra, or refuses to identify with the struggle for Biafra is a mugu.
Even if that Igbo owns all the sky scrappers in Abuja and Lagos, he failed to understand that after wealth comes desire for apex political power to protect the wealth.
Nigeria was restructured through state creation to deny the Igbo apex political power.

Biafra agitation is also like a pressure piling on Nigeria's leadership to make it not take the interest, strength and capabilities of the Igbo for granted.

Dear omenka - read your take once again: The US and Israel negotiated for prisoner swap - not over what terrorists were fighting for.

If for example, any responsible government negotiates with the Taliban to stop fighting, and possibly pay off Taliban leaders, before long, a new crop of religious extremists shall crop up wanting for negotiations and possible pay-offs.

A govt can negotiate with warriors fighting a political cause, but not with warriors fighting for a religious cause.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: In Defence Of Govt's Position To Negotiate. by discusant: 4:09pm On Jul 04, 2015
Boko Haram's pursuit is not just political, it is mainly religious -Boko Haram wants a country friendly with use of sharia criminal codes.

Millions of people in the north of Nigeria want a country governed with sharia criminal codes - like stoning women to death for adultery; cutting hands of petty thieves, sentencing people to death for blasphemy, etc.

When Nigeria negotiates and possibly pays off millions of Dollars to the present crop of Boko Haram, another group must crop up.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ADVANCE INTO SAMBISA FOREST MADE WHEN GEJ WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE OFFICE?......Kayode Ogundamisi

Answers:

1, Since Buhari became president, Boko Haram has been extended down south through prisoner transfers.
2, Since Buhari became president, the frontiers of the Boko Haram war are being deliberately extended to the south through removal of soldiers from check-points; if not, who expects leaders of Iraq, Syria, Somalia or Afghanistan to remove soldiers from their roads? Who doesn't know that Police is not trained to confront terrorists?
Politics › Re: Is CNN Mocking The APC In This Tweet? (Photo) by discusant: 10:22am On Jul 04, 2015
But CNN demonized former president Goodluck Jonathan over Boko Haram and Chibok girls kidnap. For that, many of Nigeria's electorate believed that Jonathan's presidency was why Boko Haram persisted and why Chibok girls could not be rescued. Thus, Buhari who was thrice rejected became new president, with his pre-election promise to conquer Boko Haram shortly after becoming president. So what is CNN up to now?

That's north for you. That's what we SE/SS were trying to let SW understand but they refused. North only wants to get power back and they don't mind even aligning with devil himself as long as that aim is achieved. SW/Tinubu has the interest of the nation at heart but for North, that's not their business. North wants to seize federal power and subject all of us to slaves..The SE/SS knew this all along that's why we stood our ground supporting Jonathan to the end. Now we are back to Northern born-to-rule government and they are very ready to crush anybody that tries to stand on their way. The only way to stop them is to form Sourhern alliance SE/SS/SW but I doubt if that will happen because SE/SS suspects SW will betray this alliance anytime..Let's just watch as things unfolds, time will tell..
Alliance of SS/SE with SW? Lol. Betrayal as ever - as you suspected.

Last decade, during the administration of President Obasanjo from the SW, when he wanted Third Term, he gathered many southern Nigeria's political leaders led by Anenih in Enugu, and made them come out with a declaration that Nigeria remained underdeveloped because people who ruled Nigeria before then came from outside the areas where the natural resource -oil - that sustains Nigeria comes from.

OBJ refused Jonathan second term and said it was Buhari or nothing. So, it has been a long history of betrayal from the SW. They call it sophistication.

The votes of the six SW states is not 1million votes, its enough to dash any opposition party that ll favour us to defeat APC.
Lol, the truth is gradually emerging: the SW political establishment kept quiet when about 1.7 million votes were all that was cast in Lagos state during the last presidential election - Lagos state of nearly 12 million population.

Truth is that Tinubu through Gov. Fashola must have set up a mechanism that denied voting to millions of people expected to vote PDP in Lagos state.

Loss of Lagos was the major reason why GEJ unexpectedly lost the last presidential election.

The last presidential election in Nigeria was a sham, the most rigged ever in Nigeria, more so, given that six years of Boko Haram violence was used to distance the electorate from the government of Jonathan..

Write Tinubu off at your peril!

The man goofed by trusting Buhari to do the right thing, forgetting the winner take all mentality of the North.
That was his miscalculation!
But don't write him off yet.
The Maradona of Nigerian politics.
Tinubu's calculation was that much of his SW are people of same religious faith with the mostly Muslim north, therefore the SW and north could get on very well - and rule and dominate the whole of Nigeria for ever. He never considered the fact that north sees rest of Nigeria as north's colony.

Tinubu must have believed that if his dreams come true, the SS and SE must be forced to remain in his dream Nigeria where large sections of the population in the SS and SE shall remain mere onlookers.

North through APC may be capable of ruling Nigeria for the next 100 years. All north needs at every presidential election is co-opt either the SS or SE - as north co-opted the SW last election.

APC is now a northern party. Bukola Saraki's late father, Olusola Saraki, openly said that he was Fulani, though bearing Yoruba name.

After some decades from now, we shall be expecting the SW to come up with another form of NADECO to fight another northern monopoly of power.

Willie, Please leave obi and GEJ alone and tell us what we don't know, should Anambrarians also expect bombing? You can accuse obi of been stingy but not transfer of bokoharam.
.Don't believe propaganda, PMB is in power when Boko Haram prisoners were brought to Anambra state, simple logic. All the other stories about either Obi or Obiano agreed with any president or not are mere propaganda of divide and rule.

Now if Buhari listens to the millions of people he governs in the SE and SS, he has to remove whatever Boko Haram prisoners sent to Anambra state. That's how it is done in a democracy.

If Buhari fails to order for the removal of the prisoners, he is leaving the impression that he is in an undeclared conflict with a section of the country he governs.

The genesis of BH is use of unconstitutional sharia criminal laws in Nigeria as adopted by 12 states in northern Nigeria.

BH says it is fighting for a country friendly with use of sharia criminal laws.

beginning 2000, Zamfara state former governor introduced use of sharia criminal laws like cutting off hands of thieves, stoning adulterous women to death; 11 other northern states bought it with jet speed.

Police are never trained in any country to confront terrorists on the road.

State Governors, liaise with the military and police to take control of security in your states; that's how it is supposed to be in a true federal system of government.

The legislature is the constitutional check and balance for the executive - this sort of meeting between Buhari and the members of legislature is aimed by Buhari to influence the legislators' choice of its principal officers.

Instead of defeating Boko Haram, Buhari is expanding the front for Boko by removing soldiers from checkpoints and transferring Boko Haram prisoners to areas where they do not operate.

It's yet to be understood why Buhari would contemplate increasing the war front for Nigeria's soldiers, by spreading terrorist prisoners from their areas of operation, to areas they do not operate.

Truth is that Buhari was once a dictator. Since Buhari was sworn in as president, he has refused to take ministers; because of that, he has been ordering political policies that should have been collectively agreed upon at the FEC before such policies become operational. The longer Buhari operates without ministers, the more he gets dictatorial, the more he imposes policies that may be inimical to Nigeria.
Politics › Re: NASS Crisis May Lead To Buhari’s Impeachment – Lawyer by discusant: 3:33pm On Jul 01, 2015
By refusing to appoint ministers, PMB has been taking dictatorial decisions; decisions that should have been collectively taken at the FEC - and many of his decisions are bad for Nigeria.

For example:

1, Removing soldiers from road check-points must alas make terror groups infiltrate all of Nigeria - police are not trained anywhere in the world to be a match to terror groups.

2, Talk of placing terrorist prisoners in areas they do not operate surely increases the front and task for Nigeria's soldiers.

Nigeria cannot afford to operate dictatorship. The NASS is made to check the executive's excesses.
