Fact is that the US, nay Barack Obama, doesn't understand what the problem is with Nigeria, and what has made Nigeria which has earned up to $700billion US Dollars in the last twenty years not have common electricity or other development infrastructures.

The US and other Western countries cite corruption, but do not know that it is the worst unitary government system and skewed political structure that breed and feed corruption, and have denied Nigeria development.

And the Buhari north can not allow political reforms to change unitary government system and political restructuring. Because Buhari clan benefits most from the unitary system and lopsided political structure, as the clan's politicians take home more of Nigeria's shared revenues, it also uses political over-representation it gets from undue large number of states to determine what can or cannot take place in Nigeria.

Nigeria thus can never elect an enlightened and well educated leadership because at every presidential election, the Buhari clan mostly select whoever pleased it from the police parties and present to the electorate to merely formalize with votes as president of Nigeria

Boko Haram: Americans do not understand that Boko Haram says it is fighting for a Nigeria ruled by sharia criminal laws, and that twelve northern Nigeria states derided Nigeria's secular constitution when they adopted use of sharia criminal laws. And that Boko Haram emerged after the twelve states adopted use of sharia criminal laws.
