I think they should show this documentary in Africa and Asia, it's just so sad
Saw a series on NTA last year by an NGO showing how Nigerians are living in Singapore, Malaysia, China, many of them claiming agents tricked them into going for work

Protect people? You make it sound like some sort of alien invasion, no pun intended.
very close lol you should see these detention centres in libya, Italy, sangarte thousands upon thousands

Zimbabweans, Afghans, Coptic Egyptians, Libyans, Homosexuals, Southerners residing in Northern Nigeria. they can easily claim asylum

I just wonder why they never settle in France, italy, Spain, or some countries closer to their homeland

Well, whose fault is that?
I'll bet that for every illegal immigrant they catch, ten others prolly give 'em the slip.
They should get off the air and chase the illegals.
The illegals come under different shades, running from persecution, family etc etc and they have human rights and Britain is a sucker for human rights

The Brits seem to be really fixated on this immigrant thing sha.
Make dem go rest jare.
The UK is just the size of Texas!
They have a duty to protect people within their domain, where will the resources come from?
People from totally different cultural and religious background knocking at the borders competing
for the ever decreasing jobs
Even immigrants in the UK are complaining!

Canada, Australia and US are lucky they are somewhat cut off

Ignorance of most nairalanders is appalling. The dundee shouting and asking what the navy is doing kilometers away from water did not read geography to know dat lake chad is in borno and 80 percent of the smoked fish you chew away comes from baga on borno state. Lake chad is a hot smuggling spot for weapons from Chad repubic, Libya and Niger. Did u not see the news on most weapons intercepted being smuggled in thru lake chad? A lot of people here are a waste of school fees and school space. Educated illiterates
have you seen Lake Chad recently? even boats run aground on the damn river, the area is just called lake chad till now it's all dried up! What you studied in geography class back in the 60s is no more; we are in 2011

The issue that surrounds Olusegun Aganga’s ministerial appointment is the classical example of everything wrong with the cesspit called Nigeria. The opposition to Aganga’s appointment as a minister is a shameful display of tribalism at the apex of Nigerian polity. Olusegun Aganga was born, raised and resides in Lagos therefore can claim an indigene of the state.

It is funny the group of people known to have the insatiable knack to claim anybody is rejecting Aganga. I hope Aganga did not pluck few apples from the exclusive gardens that belong to the so-called owners of the land.
You mean Lagos PDP right? when did pdp start talking for the whole tribe?

I wonder how accepting people from your side are, lets know the ratio of non 'indigenes' there compared to Lagos or the SW

Some of them have spent everything they don't even have money to go back home!!

I was wondering if these guys actually know what/how it is in the UK, It seems they had this Eldorado vision, they kept talking about schooling and at least getting a roof over their head, their human rights being respected etc (partly true)
Properties › Re: Building A Student Hostel : Profitability And Challenges by DisGuy: 11:37am On Jun 17, 2011
Emerald Suites, consists of two blocks of three storey buildings and is located close to the university gate. A somewhat 21st century abode, the rooms are fitted with some of the aforementioned facilities. Our investigations revealed that a bed space in a three-man room per annum is N120, 000. For a two-man room is N160,000 while that of a four- man room is N100,000 per bed space. A sole occupant who desires privacy is at liberty to opt for a one-man room that costs N320, 000. Aside from these, a resident is also mandated to pay N2,500 as registration fee, N20, 000 for utilities and a refundable deposit of N5,000.

The story is not any different at American Muller, another luxury hostel on 82 and 84, Community Road, Pako Bus-stop, Bariga. The hostel has its own transformer and two standby generators. The rooms which are only fitted with Dstv cables (you are expected to move in with your own mattress and pillow) cost N120,000 for a one-man room. There, the two-man room comes in two different categories. Bed spaces in smaller rooms costs N93,500 each while that of the bigger rooms attract as much as N150,000.

At Queens Quarters at Abule Oja managed by one Jide who is believed to be the son of ace broadcaster, Bisi Olatilo, a one- man room costs N265, 000, two-man room is N165,000 and a three- man room goes for N135,000 per bed space.

mbulela:
I am still trying to get my head around the guts of Segun Adeniyi.
Nigerians need not be unnecessarily distracted by the need for him to justify his participation in the greatest act of criminal breach of our constitution since the introduction of coup plots by ambitious and misguided soldiers of fortune in the country.  What transpired during the last days of that administration is only comparable to an attempted coup plot, all participants including Segun deserve to be arrested and tried for treason.
Instead he tells us tales that make no difference.
This is a man who was the presidential spokesman while lies, rumours and conspiracies were the order of the day. What did he do?
Probably nothing, because he was loyal to Yar'Adua and not the country.
Segun, how about that Yar'Adua speech on BBC?

How about those strolls he took with his kids and grandchildren in Aso Rock?
Who signed that budget?

These are issues that need clarification.
Tried for treason because he didnt reply to rumours and lies or because he gave out false information?

It's almost as if some people are expecting him -A spokesman- to take charge, Order invincible Yaradua to resign, declare Jonathan the President, and arrest all the Northern 'cabal' ??

What power does he really have

Well while waiting for out turn prior to our first interview, the guy just before us made a smart move. He just stood up and went to the toilet. We should have done the same, because after us others made excuses to the toilet.
I hope this alert gets to the front-page many families, professionals, school kids have been her victim (Rejection without a reason). YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY NO TO HER WINDOW AND PATIENTLY WAIT FOR ONE THAT WILL AT LEAST GIVE YOU A FAIR HEARING, YES YOU HAVE THE RIGHT!

If you have experienced her torturing applicants or have been a victim, please feel free to share your experience. It will go a long way to help.

Definately, you are not a pundit and your IQ must be very low to:

1. Forget the impact those girls made in  less than a year to the extent that Ebere Orji was one of the best player in the tournament.

2. Forget that they were recognized and given scholarship by Goodluck Jonathan

3. That Patience Jonathan organised a dinner party for them.

I wonder why non of  these is enough to register at least a recognized name in your medulla oblongata
