A glance at the distribution of the parastatals, he revealed, indicated that the Federal Ministry of Health has 77; the Ministry of Science and Technology has 40; Education - 41; Agriculture - 44; and Power and Steel - 27 agencies, among many others.crazy quangos, they just push papers here and there ask for billions for HQ buildings, There are some ministries that need to either rent their office buildings to private firms or just share them with other ministries- I still dont understand the Difference between NDDC and Ministry of Niger Delta? And there different Space Research institute always claiming to have invented this or that |
So how much? |
fm7070:They cant refuse the corpers from speaking, it's not like they are going to come after them when they get home |
kcjazz:They watch Nollywood, they sell forms, some sell dubai gold, they run errands for oga, Oga is usually not on sit anyway Have you ever written a letter to a local council expecting a reply in the post? ![]() |
agitator:I know what you mean but sometimes an experienced worker is more valuable than an Msc holder anywhere in the world especially in some industries like construction |
Jakumo:this doesnt represent the reality, so many insider stories online, not just in Nigeria But i wonder why they had to report to the IGP in abuja who will running for his life, what happened to Police in Delta state? |
Calculia:Nah Leaders over the world lead from the front, they take the lead in going green, take the lead in slashing their pay/benefits and reducing their backroom staff, take the lead when there is a system failure-they resign, so far Jonathan has been missing in action- he should lead from the front making effective use of the cowboy hat thats suitable for catching bombs either from MEND or Boko Harams- his name will be written in the Gloryland estate-otukpe! |
Alex J:Nah most of them will be safely in their state or home base, some will outside the country (for good!) |
Mai Suya:I think all those state receiving 13% should be able to comfortably pay the minimum and Rivers should be talking 20k minimum sef They should cut their 'security votes' by 50% instead of transferring the billions to their godfathers and political parties Guess this is the first showdown for Jonathan |
I think its about 16b, with the guy in charge saying if they work harder by 2012 they can realise 20b |
Calculia:die for this God forsaken country is what his job needs! abi no be why him apply for the post be that? if he doesnt want to die for the country he is leading he might as well quit and go compete for a job as governor of Bayelsa, Not like he helped the cause of the ND (kudos to him for the monthly stipend he paid militants to give him some breathing space) instead of moving the Capital, why not just make sure the ministry/Commission created solely for the ND do their work, or re-jig the revenue formula |
So apart from school and church/mosque where do parents take their kids to? especially outside lagos |
you beat me to it! Apartheid right here in Nigeria!! The name of the official is not even mentioned, so he can easily be transfered to some other state under the guise he has been sacked! |
WARRI—NIGERIAN workers of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Ekpan, near Warri, Delta State, have protested alleged persecution and prejudice against them by a German official of the company, who directed that low-grade black workers should not have a canteen on the company’s premises. A Warri-based rights group, the Human Rights Defenders Organization of Nigeria, HURDON, had on June 14, petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, over an attempted murder, intimidation and racial discrimination against Nigerians working in the firm, by the German official. The workers alleged that the expatriate ordered the demolition of the junior workers’ canteen because of his hatred for blacks and gave them un unkempt Caravan after their protest, which they rejected, insisting that they should be treated as human beings. The German official declined to speak to Vanguard when contacted for comments, but HURDON, in the petition, jointly signed by its national chairman and national secretary, Sir Casely Omon-Irabor and Felix Odogu, said the expatriate “created a special canteen for the whites only and other amenities for white only” and also “gave strict instruction that no black should be seen around these areas”. According to the group, a 45-year-old Nigerian security guard, employed by an independent contractor, Mr. Ohare Anthony, who was oblivious of the segregation rule, walked close to the canteen meant for whites alone while on patrol, and unfortunately for the black man, the German national saw him and allegedly unleashed his Alsatian dog on him. He said that when the dog wrestled Mr. Anthony to the ground and sank its teeth into his flesh, the official, who had earlier brought out his pistol to further intimidate him, packeted it and left with the dog after inflicting injury on the worker. “Mr. Anthony was treated and discharged from the hospital and he has been under the threat of losing his job since the incident until finally when he was brought to our office to lodge this complaint. We call on you to use your good offices to investigate this man and let the appropriate action be taken against him if the allegation is proved”, the group told the IGP. |
Any particular reason the TV stations didnt show the match? |

were they rescued or found How come most kidnap victim never tell their stories? |
teskyg:Who are 'they'? You can compel any private business to move to anywhere. Companies wont move when there's not advantage, the sea port is still in lagos, financial companies have majority of their clients in Lagos with international partners having access via MMIA however derelict it get. They might have a second headquarters in Abuja though but expenses will shoot up as well. you also have to consider the talent pool, Start-ups can take advantage if their service are remote like Airtel (or the company it outsourced to), i wonder why they will have call centres based in Abuja instead of cheaper places like Ilorin, Osun state for example where cost of living will be cheaper and they wont have that much of an issue when it comes to cost cutting |
dayokanu:what, in a a bukateria? lola34:see why it pays to listen to 'em rap mooosic! well said, she is trashy, cant believe some people find her attractive, she looks like the regular paki/asian girl |
Just keep saying Aish kuhf, Kishkuf ![]() or mention nigerian players Kanu, Okocha the rest as they say will be history ![]() |
High Speed rail will help, there are so many potential new commuter cities that can be created along the SW region A 2hour train Linking Lagos to Ilorin/Abuja with one stop at each city will reduce the burden maybe more studies should be carried out to find out where the people are actually coming from |
Calculia:you are calling the state governor incompetent? You mean Jonathan should run from abuja to be safe? how nice So naturally jobs cant be created until the FG moves into a city ? |
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/appeal-court-sacks-delta-speaker/93272/ So what's the point? What happens next, they have been another election crazy jungle!! |
Less than one week after Hon. Victor Ochei was elected Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly , the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has nullified his nomination as a candidate for the House of Assembly representing Aniocha North Constituency in the April 2007 election. Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, and three other judges in a unanimous judgment did not only dismiss an appeal filed by Ochie in 2007 , it also held that the appeal lacked merit. Mr. Boniface Isichei in a suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/22/07 had obtained a judgment against Ochei before the Federal High Court, Abuja , challenging the substitution of his name by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with that of Hon Victor Ochei after he (Isichei) won the primary election as PDP candidate for Aniocha North constituency in the April 2007 elections. The Federal High Court in its judgment declared that the substitution was illegal and restrained the PDP and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from presenting or recognising Ochei as candidate for Aniocha North constituency for the House of Assembly elections in April 2007. Following this judgment , Ochie, filed an appeal on May 25, 2007 stating 15 grounds as to why he was dissatisfied with the judgment . Among the grounds were procedure for the trial , violation of the right to fair hearing and jurisdiction of the lower court. Justice Lawal Garba , in his judgment, noted that the core question of Ochie’s case before the High court was whether the letter of his substitution complied with the law, adding that the Federal High Court was right in ruling in Isichei’s favour and that he was the rightful candidate. According to the Appeal Court , there was no merit in the points canvassed by the appellant ( Ochie ) and therefore dismissed the appeal. |
so how do they qualify? the fifth and sixth teams in the league or some other method? |
Boko Harams or innocent Almajiris? One of the reason these guys get more members is that innocent beggars on the streets are arrested and shot in the streets, the police are still insisting they shot their leader in a gun battle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1hc1zKnLr0&oref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fresults%3Fsearch_query%3Dboko%2Bharam%26aq%3Df&has_verified=1 |

In UK, Islamic/non interest bank is just a product in a bank. It is not that you will see a bank solely for Isalmic banking products.Well there will be regional banks, Mortgage banks, merchant banks, if someone somewhere pay for a license to start an Islamic bank will Josephine lose her work at Wema bank, will inflation burst through the roof, will the dollar become N500? I cant get my head around it as long as people are not forced to open an account with a bank i really don't know the implications that will get people so worked up perhaps there's something in the procedure that i don't know monopolist:Afribank is on course for recapitalisation |
The shareholders are not broke, if they are they will not be challenging the sales of their banks and clamouring for stock market recapitalisation. Let me tell you what I think, I think Sanusi knows that if he allows those banks to go to stock market like he allowed Unity bank to do, Ibru, Ebong , Akingbola and co will still be the ones to pump in money and have a controlling interest in those banks again. And you know that will spell doom for Sanusi because they will appoint the EDs of their choice who will in turn appoint the MD of their choice who will now expose all the alledged looting of Sanusi's MD's management of those banks. That is why Sanusi at all cost will want to merge or sell the banks to his prefferd bidders who will cover up their mismanagement.Yes you dont return mismanaged banks to CEOs that have broken every rule in the book, the stock market was deflated, remaining investors that have not left to shore up operations in their own country wont sell good stock for badly run banks, they money these 5banks require is another ball game to that of unity and the rest, plus 5-8 banks going to the stock market at the same time- come on, even when the going was good bank spaced out their IPOs. Akingbola,Ibru will have to sell the Dubai shopping complex (bought with loans theyve no intention of paying back or insider trading)- ~Imagine Bankole buying his official accommodation you have to pay people top money to restructure these banks so they get their monies back from acting big men and look pretty for investors- so alleged looting i dont know |
