This is pathetic!

The government asking you to pay 2000 bucks before you can even be considered an applicant for a job is simply fraudulent.

What exactly are applicants paying for?

The funny thing is this guy will get away with such disgraceful scam!
In other parts of the world where the govt is begging people to apply for military or paramiltary jobs, in nigeria people are sold forms just to apply!!

Hw many months do u think i wl spend in botswana b4 gettin access to Canada?
absolutely no idea, talking and planning it might sound smooth and sensible but living and doing it is entirely something else

there was a guy on nairaland some years back that went to SA for UK , then moved to swaziland or botstwana the last i heard he is trying to get to thailand
and i can guess all those take several years of suffering hustling looking for money n avoiding bad desperate nigerians along the way
who will introduce u to drugs, protitutions, robbery etc etc

Sports › Re: Threat To Report Nigeria To Fifa by DisGuy: 1:43pm On Apr 29, 2010
But you should have seen, most of the girls that were fielded by Nigeria against us in the first leg match were over-age. The lame excuse that Nigerians were by nature physically bigger is rubbish because you didn't need to be a rocket scientist to see whether a girl is a teenager or well over her 20s, as was the case with those Nigerian girls during the first leg match.
I BET HIS COACHING STAFF got carried away looking at the girls' bits instead of coaching!

why cant nigeria make the age-testing exercise permanent?

This is so good for Lag. The Lekki airport is the best thing that would happen to Lagos.
At least, with the airport in Lekki, when foreigners land Lagos, they wouldn't have to see all the mess that is on the mainland. It would be strictly Lekki, VI, Ikoyi.

Politics › Re: Senate To Debate On Ex-governor Marriage To Minor by DisGuy: 5:07pm On Apr 26, 2010
The Senate regrettably, stretched this further when the chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Media, Ayogu Eze advised that "any Nigerian who feels aggrieved about it knows what to do" with a clincher that ", there is not much the Senate can do about it. It is purely his personal affair." On the contrary, describing a naked dance in the market square by a honourable member of the senate as a "private affair" is being mischievously elastic.

The state Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Mr. Jide Sanwo-Olu, who disclosed this, said that 14 black spots had been identified in the state where the CCTVs and other infrastructures would be mounted.

Sanwo-Olu, who declined to name the areas for security reasons, said that the equipment had already been purchased and the construction work was currently on.

FL Gators:
Dont you actually have to take every resident in lagos into account? Howz that possible in Lagos. . . . not trying to sound ignorant tho, if I do
dont understand the question but
According to the BBC doc about 11million people out of 18million live in a slum, meaning 7 million people live in decent/well developed areas
Its not about the each individual its also about the infrastructure available in different parts of the state

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-360085.32.html#msg5159056
Lagos is an impossible place to live in. Please poster, reside somewhere else.

If you live in lagos, you will spend approximately 5-8 hrs daily in traffic, depending on where you work and live.
In the next one year that would equate to three full months in traffic!! That is not a life.

How can I wake up and leave the house at 5 am and return home at 11pm. That is no life.
I would rather go and farm in some village.

its not that difficult, 18million people remove the population of those those in the new cities +/- 3%

On the bright side, maybe their nosing around is a good call for some of our leaders to do something good.
that's because we cant actually do that don't you think  tongue
ordinary elections in neighbouring countries we have to beam BBC/CNN footage

In fact until BBC and co actually come to expose in broad daylight what the police, armies etc are doing to drivers on a daily basis, the govt wont do anything! AIT and co will now copy and past their 'hardwork' as usual

Why are northern women difficult to find in the corporate world?
Anyone with reasons for the scarcity or possibility of finding them to groom for international careers
On my way home i was thinking about this part ??
Care to explain what you mean, cos to me the underprivileged ones should be groomed to polytechnics or universities
so their daughters will have something to aim at.

Those in 'international schools' are not looking for international careers IMO, they buy their tickets immediately after graduation some don't even attend the graduation ceremony

@bolee,
There are a lot of Northern women o. I have worked with many, in telecoms, and not in CSR mind you.
I just can't list their names here for reason of confidentiality.

@Dis Guy, there are lots of Northerner ladies who are doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc. They are mostly up north.
Yes there are; Ive lived in the north before, im talking about those not in the North- in Business/'corporate world'

a bit weird labelling people really but i guess this is nigeria

Well I confess that I reside  and work in Lagos, hence my skewed vision.
And i read the papers thank you, even at that how many Northern women are there, compared to their counterparts from other regions.
I actually meant young emphasis on young, upwardly mobile women in corporate environments like oil companies, banks, FMCGs, Multinationals and not Government parastatals where its quota system or PDP rationing is used.

Northern babes in companies like Guinness, Cocacola, BAT, PZ, Shell, GTB, BG, NBL, , where art thou!
Its pretty obvious why they are not as represented, you'll find them-those that decide to venture out  of their comfort zone- in social services most  then CSR departments of those companies you've listed up north and HR especially

why dont african partake winter olympics?
