It's annoying that the good and beautiful side of Nigeria was not shown on the programme. How can such documentary help or encourage the foreigners to come to Nigeria and Nigerians abroad to come home and invest.
DID THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT PAY FOR THIS DOCUMENTARY?? N8BILLION WAS SPENT ON N.T.A LATE LAST YEAR WHY CANT YOU ASK THEM TO COMMISSION DOCUMENTARIES?

Why can't they focus on the people who actually keep Lagos moving (like working class, emerging middle class). I hope they do this in a future documentary.
WHY CANT YOU DO YOUR OWN ABI? WHY ARE YOU WAITING FOR THEM TO DO ANOTHER ONE THEYVE DONE THREE ALREADY!!!

Have come across limited information on the project, it may be one of those projects that have been designed with too much complexity so as to create a big 'wow' factor on completion - although there may well be other issues. Geometrics though have some pedigree, they completed a smaller 15 Megawatt power project for the FCT in 2001.
and that's it? that's their pedigreee, i'm beginning to see the guy/geometrics as overrated or just any other Nigerian company with a professor in charge to be honest

no wonder amaechi said indigenous contractors are always giving excuse or producing substandard work!!

the same call was mad to Button 'later' on but initially i thought the call was made to botth of them until later after the incident i i heard the call made to button directly'
to me someone must have told button that lewis has been advised to save fuel or perhaps he innocently thought lewis was slowing down, but all the same he's atosser and im very certain lewis is just playing mr nice guy-i'll catch you later

Formula 1 rule number ONE: dont crash into your teammate. . . . . . . .  FAIL!!!!
its more bitter knowing that they were leading a clean 1-2.
the fact that Vettle dont want to take the blame for his silly move is  lipsrsealed

my man Alonso, still 4th in championship race. . . . . . . . oh well, maybe Canada will be better.

i had a short celebration when Button overtook Hamilton. it was really short but felt so good!

short celebration?? I had the opposite, i was like, wTF is this button doing you're in comfy posiiton good 7 seconds ahead of the rest now you are playing msarty pants
In china lewis didnt attempt to overtake him when they were doing a 1-2 so why is he trying to take advantage??

An average student in nigeria finishes high school around age 16-18yrs
1.) Write waec for like 4 times before you make like five credit (note that like 3 credits can be from waec 1999 and the other two credit can be from GCE 2002)
2.) JAMB go Jam person like four times
3.) ASU go strike
4.) porter go strike
5.) cleaner too dey strike
6.) Even student too no dey carry last (who no dey strike for naija)

7.) If you be fine girl whey no gree open puss, lecturer go fail you so tey, or if you be bobo whey dey date that guy whey the lecturer dey eye na so u go dey chop beans for exam
8.) You struggle finish school them no see you result, them use a whole year search for result before them clear you make u go serve you father land
9smileyNYSC: Now Your Suffering continues

Now tell me how old would the guy be by them, thank God for those private Unis sha
In the middle of all these a proactive student in a 'kind' society should be able to get work expeirence in a manufacturing plant or some office as a junior or network with family member and friends getting experience
instead they just resign and blame everybody else
It really baffles me when I go through the CV's of job applicants here at home since I came back from the UK. I have noticed that the average age of most applicants without any job experience is 27-30 (ie fresh graduates). Within that age bracket in the UK, one should have had at least 6-7 years job experience because at 16 you are legally free to leave school and start work and if you decide to acquire a university degree you must have completed it before you are 21. I had a manager back then who joined the company when he was 17 and acquired his university degree on ''2 days release per week''. He became a manager at 33. Having spent 13years with the company, he fully understands the job role. I do not believe that one can acquire all the skills you need in a job by spending so much time in school because when you leave school as a fresh graduate you'll still need on the job training to function effectively in your chosen role. I understand that our educational system does not help matters at all (ie incessant industrial actions and NYSC thing too which has lost it's purpose). What should be done to correct this abnormally in the future?
I have seen adverts for sales assistant or shop assistant in Nigeria asking for HND,Degree is social sciences blah blah bla like they'll teach students how to pack a bag or how roll up their sleeves in class

Some business men have the feeling their idea will start making money immediately they move into the new V.I office wink

Please i need opinions from you guys, because it hurts me to know that statistics is not given a priority in Nigeria as it is in other countries. how do the people who take decisions for us do it? which data do they use in planning? i wonder, buti need to ask other nigerians.
They use foreign data UN and other agencies. have you seen the thread about lagos having about 11million slum dwellers? The OP said that BBC were exaggerating but couldnt provide a figure from nigerian government to counter. . .

Sometimes last year Madam Dora was disputing the stat by some international Agency about maternal death or something similar when she was asked in return what figures she had she brought out a paper only to be reminded
the nigerian department was using the field stat done by UN tongue

I think the Office of National Planning is putting something together but as usual its not accessible to everyone apart from those that work there- very useful isnt it cheesy

ba was fined heavily as a result of the us case and people were reimbursed part of their fares i dont think they would be that silly to do price fixing again
. . . more like doing it in an african country- nigeria especially should be easy peasy

They'd be silly doing it again in countries with anti-competition law or any country taht has actually responded to the case in US, I dont think the people in naija even pretended to be interested, airfares to naija has been the same range ever since even with more direct flights and transit competitors

That ia the way it should be done. Sounds like music to my ears.  cheesy

Absolutely not!!!

It is not only the parents that raise a child, it is lot of factors embedded in society.

I dare say, in the West, the TV raises your child more than you do. P Diddy is the real P Daddy figure.

I can tell a child raised in Naija from one raised in the UK, easily. For example, most of the ones in the UK find it had to adjust to things not going their way and definitely throw a tantrum as they are indoctrinated that they should almost always to get what they want or for it to be provided to them otherwise "the system is a failure". It is even very evident when contrasting dating a Naija raised girl to a UK raised Naija girl, their reaction to not having their way.

African kids are far more better behaved. It is even evident when I was watching this UK programme of WAGs in South Africa. The WAGs kept on exclaming how well behaved the SA kids were because they are not used to that in UK. We are talking about mostly toddlers and U-5s in this programme o. Talkless of pubescents and teenagers.
Why wont it sound like music to your ears? eh thats saving £500 a months on childcare!!
and the mother doing all the long hours at work or any owambe going!!!

You buy land, you build house
You dig well/borehole yourself for water
you build prison-like fences for security
You even contribute money for transformer
You contribute money to make the roads motor-able; at least your street

Bros, when we talk of 'The Guru' in corporate Nigeria today, only one person has been 'licensed' to answer; MIKE ADENUGA!
When you asked us to guess who the guru was, I expected to see MIKE. If Jim himself is asked who the guru is, he will tell you Mike Adenuga.

Mike Adenuga is officially 'The Guru' and 'The Bull' of corporate Nigeria, and to me, he's the most fearless risk taker in Nigerian economy.
Yea I cant wait for this Guru to try his skills in other markets outside nigeria/Africa you know where people actually pay tax and follow some sort of 'law'

After paying bills, u know buy transformer, then u employ an engineer not a technician? Bloody hell nigerians are very patient o!!! several months without power sum1 tells u to go n actually find out what exactly is wrong, if u have to do all this yourself, why dnt they just burn the nepa office n save tax money??

I am quite aware of the dangerous path of being GJ's defendant here, because in actual sense I am not defending him, however I need to state that this hyper-critical stance of some of us on here need to be corrected. Now to your question ,  find below an appraisal by a commentor on GJ'S  tenor as a givernor
Erm Yaradua and many state government got/get the same treatment, why should Nigerians now back pedal, he's a southerner?

Yardaue promised 6000mw,
Yaradua Appointed a northern NNPC Cheif
Yaradua didnt wear suit or never appeared much
Yaraduas wife is too powerful
Yaradua is slow
Yaradua looks boring
etc etc

Remind me again why this is seen as being to critical of GJ?
There is no proof that you are correct here. Has he not removed the Inec head like we all asked for? will he not appoint another leader for the electoral body?

Ok coming to the electoral reforms, where is it stalled now? Has the uwais recommendations not been forwarded to the NA for deliberations?
Iwu's tenure was not going to be renewed anyway
Uwais report, i remember on nairaland many people describing it as a nrotherner agenda when ~Yaradua set the panel up, now everyone's on it like cream!!

I remember someone on another thread saying Jonathan within three months got the power equipment out of the ports after several years- failing to mention the old weak bridge and a new bridge was being built the all this months!!

I honestly hoping he achieve something in his short/long time in office and lose those dark clothing

i dont believe in this brain drain myth.

most of us don't realize that most of us are brilliant in nigeria.

the UK and USA aren't getting the 'best' nigerians, they're getting average nigerians and realizing the average nigerian is smarter then the average anyone else.

if the schools in nigeria were up to standard they would be and currently are, pumping out geniuses.

also idk why ppl are trying to make it a tribal thing cause lets be realistic, JAMB statistics have proven igbos get almost double the scores of yorubas and triple hausas.
so you mean those teaching the best students left in nigeria after all these years cannot bring the schools/uni up to standard?
