Oldboss:With Barça, it's not just about winning - it's about how the games are won. Messi on any pitch is always electrifying. Football is way more than the scoreline - that's why sports is also considered a form of entertainment. Nobody in the current Barça squad (except maybe Pedri and now Depay) is really electrifying or special in anyway. (Well, Busquets and Pique are exempted obviously.) |
Raalsalghul:Nothing is real tonight. Not even your reply or my comment. Everything is an illusion. |
Raalsalghul:I think we are currently living a simulation. Someone did a time warp of something and we've all been teleported to an alternate universe. Nothing is real this evening, including that news. You are not you and I'm not me - just mirror existences of ourselves. We are still working out the mathematical calculations so we can bring back reality as we all know it. Hold on. |
DissTroy: ShawtCake: Catfishing:Shawtcake, I'm never going to go searching for pictures of you. Never would. You offered to upload your pictures to prove you are beautiful for some reason, and I gave you an incentive: For every number of photos of yourself you upload, I'd upload same number of myself, with my face very visible. Quote me with your photos like you offered to. Not doing so is you being worried about your looks or reneging. Again, no catfishing. I'm a tech guy - I can easily dig up catfish pictures. ![]() |
ShawtCake:How about I make you a deal? If you put up two pictures of you, I'd put up two pictures of myself. Mine would have no make-up (of course) and aren't (studio)-edited pictures. Catfishing is totally out of bounds. Yeah, go ahead. ![]() |
ShawtCake:Liar! She is better-looking than most of you. There's a reason why most Nigerian females are obsessed with makeup, overly-edited studio pictures, SnapChat filters and constantly on wigs - you are trying to augment your less-than-desirable looks. |
PrideofLincoln1:"As far as I have read". That aside, why would you even be rooting for forced vaccination? Doesn't it go against rights? Isn't that fascist in a way? Ironic that supposed model democratic countries are the ones pushing something as undemocratic as forced vaccination. |
PrideofLincoln1:The topic so far has been Forced Vaccination: For or Against? Stop muddying the waters with a supposed Trump second inauguration, especially when the person you are quoting isn't even pushing that idea as far as I read on this thread. Stay on course. |
A vaccine passport will be required in the near future. Many on the left are OK. [/b].They are spreading it to other countries too and running a propaganda on the MSM, attributing any ill-health or death of any anti-vaxxer to Covid-19 to validate their fascist plans. Here's a circular making the rounds in Guyana, a Carribbean country this week. Covid-19 vaccination and Vax ID are now mandatory.

Authority1o1:Not just dressed like a man but dressed clean too. No tattoos and/or piercings, no dreadlocks or crazy hairstyles. Just low-cropped haircut with a well-groomed beard. No tattered clothes or dressing like a hippie too. No, you don't even have to be religious to emulate that look. |
benalvino3:Not just that. Biden should resign for incestuous pedophilia then get prosecuted. He has been filmed and livestreamed groping and french-kissing his granddaughter on live television. |
budaatum:What is wrong with you and selective blindness? I have posted and reposted evidence from official sources that the age of consent in many U.S. states is very low. In New York, it is 11. I didn't make this law. The evidence I posted with regards to the extremely low age of consent in New York is for 2021. These statistics are from official sources. You are arguing with me about official sources instead of reflecting why this is so? You can easily google these facts! America has many shady laws. Extremely shady laws. The State of Idaho allows for cannibalism for example. That's not something you argue with me as I could provide evidence to Idaho official website which gives reasons to allow cannibalism. I have been arguing this kind of issues for years and have even more controversial and shaming points stockpiled. If there's one thing I have been consistent at on this thread, and on Nairaland, is, for every seemingly contentious statement I make, I back it up with evidence. If I don't have evidence for it, I wouldn't join the debate. I don't join every debate on this thread. It's a deliberate act most times. |
budaatum:What are you going on about? I was the first to state that since 2003, the age of consent in Nigeria and been 18 years old. In the U S., legally, the age of consent is 11 years old. The Wikipedia source mirror other sources. DissTroy: |
Tdotbluejays:Millions of child brides live any and every Muslim society, even in the U.S. and the U.K. where Muslim communities are increasingly getting isolated and adopting Sharia law. And 22 million brides is stretching it. Nigeria females between the ages of 10 and 17 which make up the child brides is the total number of Nigerian kids for that age range in app parts of the country. Nigeria is 200 million (estimated). Check the age range demographics and you'd know the child bride demography is exaggerated. I deliberately left out quoting statistics from UN bodies for a reason and instead preferred other sources. Their estimates are too gapping to form good data. 17 to 27 million people is too much if a gap for a example. 17 to 19 million make more sense. Do you want me to post links to reports of child/minor marriages in Muslim communities in the west? Budaatum, most of that exploitation of minors is done under the guise of religion i.e. Islam. That's the umbrella paedophiles like Yerima hide under. But why then do you think he pushed for Sharia in their part of the North? That's one of the problems the U.K. is facing battling these theistic paedophiles. |
Tdotbluejays:Kids? Adults? In Nigeria, since 2003 especially, the age of consent has been pegged at 18. Problem is, by law, you can't jail minors that's why there are child correction services and and the likes. Do people break this law? Yes. Have they always been brought to book? Rape convictions and the technicalities are still contentious issues in most countries. |
budaatum:Who conferred sainthood on you? I stated you and Salford are keeping the inflammatory words to the barest minimum for this debate to further it, just like I am while asking PrideofLincoljn to do same if he wants the debate to go on. Everyone has been using less than incendiary words during the course of this debate. It's different from you playing St. Peter and terming everyone childish for scuffles whereas you brawl yourself and were involved in and defending doxxing someone.. |
Tdotbluejays:Canada is part of the top 40 highest rape rates in the world by country. Did you read the evidence at all? Here it is again: https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/rape-statistics-by-country . |
By the way, I also like how you folks deliberately skipped over the parts about child marriage in Nigeria when I provided evidence of the age of consent in the U.S. being as low as 11 years old in some states. You have also skipped over the fact which I stated that cannibalism is condoned and legal is certain parts of the U.S. If I had stated those two things about some parts of Nigeria, you would have picked on it and come out guns blazing. That's the prejudice I have been going on about and why people like me rack up statistics to fight back. |
budaatum:Well, you'd have to ask those who dragged you. I suppose you did it one time you many. Isn't your side part of the "Time's Up Movement"? Your time was up on Saturday. Too bad but it's in the past now. Nigeria is not the rape capital of anywhere, and in fact, we do not really condone rape. That does not mean rape does not happen in Nigeria,Rape happens in Nigeria. Rape happens everywhere. But to what degree? That's why the evidence I posted was about rape rates just that you baiting with figures you confessed were bait is juvenile as far as I am concerned, and you've been called out just as you are now calling out some other, and if you expect him to accept your calling, perhaps you should lead by accepting yourself being called out. You never know, you just might be learned from.I posted evidence of some Western countries leading the charts for rape rates in the world. Instead of you to debate that, you showed bias and hatred for Nigeria by questioning why Nigeria isn't topping the charts. There were several other counties son the list for for you and Salford, it was an anomaly for Nigeria not to be topping any and every indices in vices. See where the bias showed? Based on your comments here, I didn't mention anything about Nigeria's rates because you would definitely have asked. You are already biased against Nigeria in itself for some reasons. Nigeria wasn't in the top 40. I had to post another link to show Nigeria wasn't topping the charts for rape because you questioned. Like I stated, the attacks on Nigeria isn't on Nigeria, it's an indirect attack on the Nigerians here (the right-leaning ones) who you feel have no right debating global issues. I've debated Nigerians in the diaspora or non-Nigerians long enough to know what the prejudices are so I came prepared and you showed your bias by insisting you want to see Nigeria's rape statistics, and not being comfortable with the one I provided because it didn't show every woman is getting raped in Nigeria. |
PrideofLincoln1:Many Ekiti residents would opt for moving to Lagos. That decision doesn't negate the fact that being resident in Lagos comes with some of its antecedent problems like traffic jams, more insecurity, higher cost of living and less nicer people. But from an economic perspective, migrating to Lagos is a good choice in most cases. Take a Nigerian city and Chicago then juxtapose the analogy above. ![]() |
PrideofLincoln1:Whatever this means... But points made regardless. Oh! And do well to support your more debatable assertions with evidence too. ![]() |
budaatum:I'd rather quit this thread than be sanctimonious. But you don't need to be sanctimonious before you maintain decorum. If I respond to him in the same tone, this argument/debate would go off course. You are still reeling from the dragging and exposition done to and on you on Saturday. Sadly, you can't take it up with the persons who dragged you but sieving through comments, looking for examples to justify your actions on Saturday which everyone condemned you for. You should never have made it seem like Nigeria is a rape capital of some sorts and the west a utopia. I had to call you out and factually too. And that has birthed hydra-headed debates. I never sue for peace but I'd let you know the consequences of not staying on course. It's up to you to choose but I can do peace and war. Both suit me fine. |
PrideofLincoln1:See? Comparative analysis. The indices on Chicago and other cities which I have posted have been based on ",Murder Rates". Not any other index like economic prosperity or GDP. You are muddying the waters and deliberately changing the argument. You are economically better in Lagos than Ekiti. You are less safer in Lagos than Ekiti. Two truths can exist mutually exclusively. I don't do sentiments. You deliberately choose to ignore facts and evidence I posted because it doesn't suit the narrative you want to push but quick to accept when I stated Nigeria has one of the highest eclampsia rates in the world even when zi didn't post evidence for it because it fits your narrative. You are biased beyond the point of objectivity and that's stating it as it is. You shouldn't be having issues with me. Have issues with the respected data collating institutions world over who are pitting some of these U.S. cities as having higher murder rates than Lybia, not to mention Nigeria. Also, a girl is safer in many other countries, including in Africa, than in some areas of the U.S. which top for rape rates. I didn't write these stats. You are just angry I am digging up and proving evidence to shatter than Eldorado image you have always peddled. ![]() |
PrideofLincoln1:See? That's the problem with you - you aren't discerning and lack emotional intelligence. Anyone who's frequented this thread would know the cyberwars or battles are stated by inflammatory statement or phrases like you us. Budaatum and Salford understand this and have kept it to the barest minimum to keep the conversation flowing. You can tell I can do peace and war perfectly. That isn't new. Choose your words more carefully when responding. Except, of course, it's a deliberate act to muddy the waters. Again, I care little about emotions in debates. I stay rational always. I already mentioned I barely read your posts and, until May, I never frequented this thread. I have always assumed you reside in Chicago and you've never corrected that even so I went with it. You also keep mentioning Chicago as against Chicagoland. Your personal itinerary is of no concern to me. The CNN or NYT North Korea experts who reports on N.K. issue don't even live in North Korea but their research is valid still. So that's that about living in Chicago. There are 209 countries in the world. You are mostly stuck in one but you have opinions about other countries and cultures you'd probably never visit. See the logic? Flawed yours. Chicago, St. Louis and Baltimore have some of the highest murder rates in the U..S and in the world. Higher murder rates than any Nigerian city. See, I do this almost every week with my own Facebook account, debating on platforms like The Economist or the BBC with even African Americans or non-blacks so these evidence are always filed away for easy retrieval. https://www.statista.com/statistics/243797/ranking-of-the-most-dangerous-cities-in-the-world-by-murder-rate-per-capita/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_by_murder_rate Facts only here. ![]() |
Tdotbluejays:No, you don't get to select. I was mostly gunning my focus on the U.S. Canada and the U.K. might just catch stray bullets but that's it. I even gave the U.K. credit with the age of consent thing for going hard on defaulters and being tough on the law and requirements. This thread is about the U.S. The issues we discuss here are mostly about U.S. sociopolitics, not Canada's or Britain's. When you insult Nigerians resident in Nigeria here, it's mostly to defend the stance of the U.S. on some issues while downing Nigeria. Why are you jumping ship and selectively defined Canada alone, abandoning the U S. to get attacked by me? That's unfair. Be a loyal ally - all for one, one for all. That NATO brotherly shit. My attacks/focus has been and mostly been on the U.S. I see you didn't answer my question about some places in the U.S. being pro-cannibalism. |
Tdotbluejays:See? That's why I asked you to shelve your sentimentality. You are a man for God's sake. Turn on the testosterone or something. Nigeria is far from an Eldorado. To buttress that, I cited an example in my response to you that Nigeria has one of the highest eclampsia rates. Have you ever research that fact? No. Are pregnant women dying all around me? No! But just because the women around me have better access to ante natal services doesn't mean every pregnant female in Jigawa or Yobe State does. These are the hundreds of thousands of victims who make up that statistics. It is irrational for me to negate that reality. The south of Nigeria is doing well. But there are millions of impoverished people up north. Our comfortable realities do not negate their hardships. It's silly to think so. Just because PrideofLincoln hasn't been shot at on the streets of Chicago doesn't negate the reality that the average person is more likely to be murdered in the neighborhoods around him than than many other places in the world, including Nigeria. Have you ever seen me argue when you make claims like there are millions of poor people in Nigeria? I don't. I only respond when you personalise it because there are millions who are comfortable too but their comfort doesn't negate the harsh realities of those poor people. Just because I am skilled and earn enough to be comfortable doesn't mean there aren't people who would go hungry tonight and aren't sure of where breakfast would come from in the same Nigeria. There's no need to get emotional about these things. I cited an example about an incident on ClubHouse. I have such debates daily and the reactions are mostly sentimental. What if I tell you there are places in the U.S. where cannibalism is excused what would you say to that? |
Tdotbluejays:No, the onus is on you to shame Nigeria by providing facts to disgrace her as that seems to be the favourite pass time here even though the target isn't necessarily Nigeria but the Nigerians on this thread who you think are too darling to debate global issues in a digitised world. I understand the game. The onus isn't on me to make my country look bad - it's on you. Mine is to puncture holes in the Eldorado you and yours build up on the internet for reasons best known to you. My endpoint is clearcut. I didn't start doing this today. It goes far back to debates against South Africans like PunkyV and the whole band and other nationals since as far back as 2015. The internet is free - dig up information to shame Nigeria with regards to the issues being discussed - rape statistics, age of consent and murder rates. ![]() |
Tdotbluejays:See, Salford, I don't do emotions or sentimentality. Thankfully, none of the persons being part of this debate tonight is a female so let's shelve the emotions, shall we? Gaslighting or guilt-tripping has never worked with me. There's a reason why for every fact which I felt might be controversial, I backed it up with evidence, even more than one per fact in some cases. You don't get to choose what fact you believe just because it rubs you the wrong way. That's not the rational, educated way to react. You counter with facts, not sentiments. |
Tdotbluejays:You are going around in circles. You don't get to choose which facts you want to accept. The U.S. and South Africa sit a top the top 5 highest rape rates. You are more likely to be murdered in Chicago than in Port Harcourt and twice more likely to be murdered in St. Louis. These are not facts I wrote - these are facts that have been reviewed and reposted by creditable sources. You don't get to choose facts when it suits you Nigeria has one of the highest eclampsia rates in the world. Just because pregnant women aren't dying around me doesn't make it untrue. I can't live the reality of over 20 - 25 million women within that demography who can still get pregnant. |
Tdotbluejays:That's the thing. Senator Yerima is a Muslim practising the nonsense they do. You want me to pull up links to U.S. or U.K. authorities battling child marriages in Muslim communities? Officially, the age of consent for sex or marriage in Nigeria which is more effective in the south is 18. Even in marriage, there has to be consenting sex, right? Some U.S. cities allow for 11, 12 and 13-year-old kids to have sex and some exploit it. |
Tdotbluejays:It's research body. There are several research platforms you've probably never used for academic work before several. You are trying to fault Knoema to fit an agenda. I would prefer a government body for for statistical data such as rape. That is more reliable and verifiable. Anyway, that aside. Can you post is data from 2021. The one on your website is from 2013? That's almost a decade ago.Even some Nigerian given bodies get their data from trusted and vetted independent think-tanks like Naira Metrics and Tracka.ng. The World Population Data website I had posted earlier isn't a government website but you accepted it because it fit your narrative. Can you also post data on rate of child marriages in the North? Here is a senator of Nigeria below committing child abuse and justifying his action. Does this even qualify as child abuse in Nigeria? DissTroy: |
Tdotbluejays:I must have missed this. How could I? All over the world, in Muslim communities, children under the age of 18 are still being married off. Even the U.K. is still fighting it and it's a problem in Nigeria and Malaysia. The official age of consent in Nigeria has been 18 since 2003. On the other hand, the age of consent in New York is 11 and in Washington 12. In more than 7 U.S. states, the age of consent is 13 years old. (With a caveat).https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_the_United_States The Nigerian constitution doesn't allow for that. At age 12, Willow Smith was taking after sex pictures with men in bed. At 16, Kylie Jenner was banging Tyga who as older than 18 years old in the public eye. Nobody got arrested. The U.K. is stricter on such things on the other hand.
