Joe Biden's countless sexual allegations are more weighty than Cuomo's though.

In fact, Biden's accusers have been more forthcoming in testifying against him than Cuomo's.

Since Biden supported Cuomo's resignation, he himself should resign - sexual allegations by several women who he also groped and paedophilic incest with his granddaughter.

It's alright. There are people who don't share the view that the earth is round too and would rather believe it's flat even with all the evidence to support the round fact. Their opinions as free as they are wouldn't change the earth being what it is.

The earth would continue to warm up then freeze up then warm up again. By the time all of these go full circle, everyone on this thread would be archeological findings excavated from buried pits and covered by sediments and silt of over 20 - 30 meters thick.

As I said, if we all fart in a stadium our noses might experience some irritation at some point, and if we keep on farting that irritation and is bound to increase.
That's only true given the condition that the stadium is sealed and has no air conditioning. But the stadium does. Ozone, ocean and vegetation purification. Our fart/carbon emission regardless.
I for one know that the next time you invite me to that stadium where everyone farts, I'd apologise and give it a miss thank you very much, and I'd even not mind if you claim its because I am arrogant.
Well, we can't just leave the earth currently, can we? We are stuck in this stadium. The match never ends.
Sorry diss, I just do not see us as "miniscule in the scheme of thing" as you seem to think you are. If this were the religious section, I'd go as far as claiming I look at diss and I see god. The lens that I see through makes you seem much bigger and powerful to me, and I do wish I could lend it you so you too see what I see.
We are miniscule in the outcome of things. The way the earth works. We can't alter fixed physical laws like revolution or rotation, or move our planet out of its orbit to a slightly colder region of the solar system or stuff like that.
But we can do things like revegetation and be kind to each other and be thoughtful about what we do to the environment to make our finite human existence more livable and enjoyable.
I'd be dead and gone and the game would go on but I'd at least not come to your area to fart while I enjoy my less stinky axis and not try to clog the air conditioning system in the stadium.

few pages back I argued how powerful we can be to make a difference in Nigerian polictics. No one agreed with me of course, but the same 'we are powerful' applies to our effect on the climate of earth, as far as I am concerned, but do know that I understand some are indeed miniscully powerless.
Nigerian politics or the Nigerian fate is basically
our human experience which we have control of.
Whether everyone has enough to eat and stay healthy or most die of kwashiorkor and live in squalor have nothing to do with the earth eventually warming up or cooling down or rotation, or revolution.

We are just doing those to enjoy our finite human experience and existence.

I kind of feel if every one farts in this stadium of your's we'd all be holding our noses, after all, it's not as if there is any claim that only two of us are warming the globe with our farts.
That's the thing - you and I compared to the stadium size is representative of the total number of humans compared to the earth's size.

Remember water covers over 70 percent of the earth's surface and humans live in less than half of the remaining 30 percent land.

From land surface to the atmosphere is about 70 miles - way more than the comparative distance between both of us' seats and the stadium rooftop.

As the ozone layer is repairing itself, the earth's vegetation and oceans are purifying the air we breathe.

Humans are miniscule in the scheme of thing. Our arrogance makes us think we can change the earth's fate temperature-wise.

China needs to develop its economy and that is heavily reliable on carbon. That has always been their issue.
That's why I said it's trying its best. The country is trying to balance both despite pressure from other Western nations.

Carbon capture technology in itself is cutting down on emission. No matter how little the cutting is. It's still cutting.

As usual, Western nation would push for countries like China to do more.
The bolded brings us back to the premise of this back-and-forth:

Would all that human-induced carbon emissions stop global warming from happening?

You and Budaa had posited it would which why I really joined this debate, proving that it wouldn't, global warming and cooking/freezing are really out of the control of humans. And the earth has been warming and cooling for millions of years.

In fact, this is the only thing about global warming scientist agree on. The effect of carbon-emmission-cutting has never been agree on.

Well, I am just trying to make you use specifics when it is necessary to make people understand more. That compound is chlorine florine and carbon

When the breakage of the ozone occur, it is the chlorine out of the three compound that cause the problem. This is another reason why I said you should be specific. It's not only carbon that is in play here and the compound that does the damage is the chlorine
In reality, none of these compounds or elements are in their purest form in nature. The CFCs have other elements attached in varying ways.
CH4 (Methane) depletes the Ozone layer too but to a smaller extent. CO isn't necessarily free-occuring too and reacts sign others.

CFCs, CH4 and the likes have effect on the eventual depletion. To save us from all that, the term is "carbon emissions". After all, carbon is the central element these compounds are built on, right? Fitting term.

You mean the carbon capture project is solely all about air purity?
China would do anything for money and economic development.

It hasn't cut down on its carbon emissions even with all the pacts it has signed. The only times it has opted for less carbon emission is in places or situations where renewable energy was the cheaper option.

Of course, it makes solar panels and the likes for sale. That's for money. Where nuclear power or hydroelectric energy are the only options, it would go for it.

As cities are enlarging so is China's carbon footprint spreading.

The U.S. and the U.K. hasn't really done much. In their countries, for air purity, yes renewable energy and to cut ckst where necessary. Tree planting and reforestation drives too.

Both still have interest in several countries drilling for crude oil and new oil wells (Nigeria is just one small example). Both have outsourced manufacturing to places like China and Taiwan where all that global warming issue isn't controlling them.

The U.S. and the U.K. are the ones reprimanding and committing the ""crime too".

China is more concerned about air purity than global warming. It just signs global warming pacts to get the western hounds of its backs but does nothing about this. Russia too.

You can't say we affect ozone layer through emissions of carbon when we don't use the gas or particular carbon that affects ozone layer. This is where you are suppose to distinguish.

Its like saying Mr. Balogun killed a bush rat. Well, when I bring out balogun and his brother who also go by the surname balogun, you will have to distinguish if it's lookman balogun or Bello balogun.

So just saying carbon emissions from humans affects it will be problematic Because we don't emit cfc
That's why I stated it's the term used generally when reporting.

In fact, technically, CFCs shouldn't even be used - you have to be specific about which of the CFCs you are referring to. Or be specific about which hydrocarbon you are referring to like CH4 which is more common is affecting it.

Most people don't. Just like there's no need going into the details about how own system processes the air we breathe in to use O2 and what we breathe in isn't just O2.

In whitepapers, there's specificity. But to educate the general public, you remove all that technical jargon and just call it "carbon emissions". That's what carbon emissions have come to signify for years now.

No, all reports have always used the term "carbon emissions" as a term to cover everything.

Just like we use air for gas. But in truth, air consists, oxygen, atmospheric nitrogen, carbon dioxide and more.

Imagine we had to say "fresh oxygen and carbon dioxide are coming into the office" every time. Makes for poor articulation and conversations.

Next time you hear or read, carbon emissions, they are referring to all. All fossil fuel combustions including by vehicles and machines produce more than just carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide hence "carbon emissions". There's always more. To make it easier for reporting and to explain, the general term is "carbon emissions".

So, its true, and at the same time, not true?

That's like claiming a river flows regardless of human activity, but I'm sure you'd blame me if I divert it's flow on to your land.

Human mitigation includes reducing the human activity that negatively affects the climate, and if we cut down all the trees, or just dump our waste into the ocean, we'd soon know our true "importance in the grand scheme of things".
Let me give you an analogy which you can relate to:

Both of us are in a covered football stadium like Real Madrid's then we fart. Have we fouled the air? Yes. To what extent? Very minute.
We'd need to fart constantly close to 3000 times each for the place to completely stink.

Let's imagine there's one large air conditioner. We'd need to fart constantly tens of thousands of times for us to overwhelm the purifying effect of that large AC and the stadium stinking.

Juxtapose the following in the analogy:

1. You and I: Machines and other things which emit carbon.

2. Stadium : Earth

3. Large AC: Ozone layer

4. Our fart: Carbon emissions

5. Number of times we fart: Thousands do years.

Remember, like the AC, the ozone layer heals itself and doesn't stop functioning regardless of our farts (carbon emissions).

Get it now?

I didn't need to - carbon emmisions cover CFC, CH4, CO2, CO... There are several. To make it easier for fluid conversations, the general term has always been "carbon emissions".

But we agree on the point that it has been blown out of proportion and global warming is a political weapon.

The U.K. and U.S. talk shit about carbon emissions to hold down competitors like China , India and Russia, and to purify its living areas but it still has gigantic fossil fuel interests all over the world which are active.

Ozone itself is formed naturally when the sun's UV light reacts with atmospheric oxygen. The ozone layer is self-healing. It takes time but it heals on its own.

.Carbon emissions isn't a synonym of Carbon dioxide - it's the blanket term for all carbon-containing emissions : CO2, CO, CFC, CH4... Thousands. CO2, CFC, CH4 are the main emissions from fossil fuel combustion.

Ozone does not cause global warming and global warming does not cause ozone depletion like I explained earlier.

This applies to budaatum and Goodvibes007 as well.
Read all my posts - never did I claim ozone depletion is responsible for global warming. Instead I argued against the postulation, stating that in spite of an intact ozone layer, global warming would happen and has been happening. Humans and our effects on global warming are relatively miniscule.

Ozone (O3) depletion over thousands of years contributes in a TINY PART to global warming. Tree planting would make our living areas cooler though because the released O2 is actually cold. Oxygen gas is a cold substance. Basic chemistry.

Global warming and global freezing are periodical. There was an ice age before the last ice age. There was a global warming before the last ice age and then now. Each period is said to span 100,000 years.

Man (erm, homo sapiens) has been around for about 70,000 years and we didn't witness the last Ice Age or global warming.

30,000 years from now if humans still remain humans, our descendants would be battling with global freezing.

Exactly! The oceans play the most role in giving us the needed oxygen and cooling lands down (the part we live on). Why then with all the carbon-emission-cutting nonsense as the panacea to global warming?

Say it would make our air purer and I could argue that - planting more trees is a better option if you want development too. It would happen. We are closer to the heating up than to the last Ice Age. After that, most things would freeze up and on and on.

All we can do is to make our air purer. Even if all humans died now and all machines stoked working, the Earth would still heat up.

And the west have particularly targeted emerging economies with that blackmail - Russia and China and the likes.

What is causing the depletion of the ozone layer and what region of the earth are we seeing the depletion cheesy

Climate change is constant. No one argues this. It was called global warming before they changed it to what is obvious. It's like saying black lives matter. Of course it matters but the Organization black live matters is fraud.

So help me answer these question because carbon emissions does not affect the ozone.
High carbon emissions does affect the ozone layer. Ozone is actually an isotope of oxygen. Before it gets to where the ozone layer is, most of the emitted substance would have dissipated or been absolved. The ozone later is several kilometers above.

Let's just say Ozone is ice and oxygen is cool water. Both are cool but cool water would heat up quicker and the emissions sort of break the ice up.
The ocean even plays more roles in cooking the earth than the ozone layer.

But cool water or warm water - the earth would eventually heat up then cool down. We are arrogant pricks for thinking we can stop the process or alter it.

Atleast you are smarter than Benalvino. We can slow it down for the earth to stabilize itself "if" we can't stop it.
You are reiterating what I stated - we can only cool down deforested areas and purify air in these areas but no measure we would take would stop global warming. In a 100,000 years or even less, the Earth is expected to even get cooler given we avoid any asteroid impact.

There's a 100,000-year circle for global warming and freezing. And this has been happening for millennia.

Global warming is a political weapon. It's a good thing China and Russia have been resisting the sanctions and pressure.
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: 2026 Midterm Elections Live! by DissTroy(m): 5:55pm On Aug 09, 2021
Climate change is real. It's been politicised and weaponised but it doesn't change the fact that it's real. And the ozone layer is really depleting. There are practical ways to prove this.

But, the truth is, climate change has been happening for millions of years. Antarctica and the Artic circle were once lush green forested continents just as the Sahara Desert was as vegetated as the Amazon Forest at a point.

The Earth has continued to freeze and warm over for millions of years and would continue to do so.

Planting more trees would cool certain deforested areas and even purify the air but all that carbon-cutting nonsense wouldn't significantly change the fact that the Earth would still warm over with or without us.

When the previous periods of global warming happened, humans weren't even around. How can you blame global warming on us? The air pollution blame is more fitting.

It's arrogance to think we can stop the Earth warming up. No scientific data proves this. None!

Countless times, he or his cronies have called the moderators to delete posts of his own Facebook and LinkedIn handles yet every time he denies his own self and identity but he's always triggered when they are posted.

grin ehn. Hahahahaha okay. You thought you have made a point. Someone that cried that Diss.Troy baited him the other day. You said all this nonsense after he apologized to you budaatum. You seem like a snake man undecided
Budaatum is an ungrateful guy.

8 days ago, he beaten all over the place, lynched by a mob, drawn and quartered across the many streets and pages of this thread until we stepped in to cushion the effect and pacify the mob who wanted him hanged for daring to stand up to them.

While the murderous mob were distracted by us, Buda ran and disappeared from this thread faster than Obrigado downing bottles of ogogoro at Mama Fatia's roadside shop.

For 5 days he tasted freedom and even argued against some of the woke ideas of the Left we posited here but a sheep can't survive without its shepherd so our guy returned to the plantation.

Budaatum is the real Uncle Tom - in love and servitude with and to his masters.
