budaatum:Nothing was wrong with it. You made a sweeping generalisation stating rape is the order of the day in Nigeria. i understand the rest of you like poking holes at Nigeria as a psychological game to attack the self esteem of many Nigeria so you can feel bigger or better about yourselves. It works on many Nigeria.... until you meet people like me. I arm myself with information like this at every given point so I can poke holes and flaw the falsehood you guys spread. You made Nigeria look like the rape capital of the world to attack Ben as indirectly complicit as a Nigerian man encouraging rape. I had to pull up evidence to counter the fact that the places you make look like Eldorado aren't i.e places like the U.S. leading Nigeria in raoe and murder rates. Maybe when you ease on the falsehood you spread as a game then you'd have people like me go easy on you. |
budaatum:You've begun that moral high ground hogwash which made the guys excommunicate and drag you to hell two days ago. For the first time in a long while everyone is trying to have a conversation/debate without insults and here you are playing the victim's card. What's wrong with you? Take your sanctimony and stick it where the sun doesn't shine if you can't debate! |
Tdotbluejays:Nigeria Statistics website is mostly useless. They don't update it as regularly as they should. Naira Metrics and Tracka.ng are even more reliable statistics platforms than Nigeria Statistics for updated information. |
Tdotbluejays:I deliberately withdrew the statistics for Nigeria to bait you. and Budaatum into going on the defensive. Everything I post is deliberate. Here's Nigeria's rape statistics per 100,000 https://knoema.com/atlas/Nigeria/Rape-rate?mode=amp In the other link I posted, the focus was on the top 40 highest rates of rape in the world. Remember there are about 209 countries? That's why Nigeria wasn't on that one. Other countries like Mali and South Africa and Cameroon which Nigeria keeps better data than (except maybe S.A.) made it to the top 40 highest rape rates in the world. And if you try to dispute statistics by Knoema then you have obviously not done any academic research before. Just like many U.S. cities top Nigeria in murder rates. I have posted the evidence on this thread and can still post them again. |
budaatum:The U.S., Belgium, Germany, Australia, and France are in the top 15 highest rape rates/cases in the world though.. In fact, the U.S. , Belgium and Australia are top 5 rape destinations of the world, beaten only by South Africa. And the rape rate in Canada is higher than in Nigeria. Nigeria isn't even top 40. Just thought to put it out there given the context you put it and the thread we are on. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/rape-statistics-by-country ![]() |
Last night I had one of the most interesting debates which I stumbled upon on ClubHouse since I joined about a week ago. I turned out to be a heated one and I refused to back down. Apparently, I was accused by some woke Nigerian-Mexican-American (I don't know how that works) female for 'whitification' because I made a comment about Carribeans (especially the ones resident in the region) being more closed about they way they speak and refusing to adapt even when communicating with others and juxtapositing how this affects chances at speaking gigs. It began with me observing there's no such thing as a "Nigerian accent" as what is termed the Nigerian accent is the accent prevalent in Lagos which is the headquarters of Nigeria's second biggest export - entertainment (music and movies), and the Port Harcourt resident would also count his accent as a Nigerian accent or the Fulani man in Kano. Just as there's no such thing as "British accent" - Cockney or what is generally spoken in London is way different from what's spoken in Liverpool or Scotland. A Scottish person has the right to feel offended in that case for pushing the way Adele speaks as the archetypal British accent. But there are generally acceptable ways of speaking to be understood. She accused me of trying to "whitify" other minority cultures for stating being more articulate and learning to pronounce or accentuate in particular ways would make you a better communicator. This is widely accepted as regards communication. According to her, people should speak how they want and should never make any effort to change it even if others barely understand them. The irony is, the lady accusing me is half-white. Long argument but she had to agree with me in the end but not without giving excuses like slavery and white man domination and the likes, and she being a sensitive person. She was very close to using that white enabler tag on me until I went in hard on her. Imagine if I were white or couldn't defend the points articulately, the recordings would have been all over in the morning and I would have been "canceled". Imagine if I were a Black American or white celebrity. That's what cancel culture is doing to us. Victimhood. We seek out victimhood. Oddly, the girl in question's mother is white. |
"But what do I know? Umudikean like me." LOL. The woke brigade have it coming and it would boomerang. Including Nigerians who champion wokeness. Chimamanda was the poster child of African wokeness and extreme feminism for years. She was at the forefront of canceling any man she felt was threat to her and destroying them. She doxxed and set her attack dogs on El Nathan John, a Nigerian writer who questioned her, and almost destroyed his career beginning in 2015. She quietly got married, toned down on her feminism which she benefitted from and rode to fame. She's been cautioning and calling out her disciples as "rude, bitter women" in recent months. She's ditching wokeness slowly. Recently, she's been canceled for saying trans rights shouldn't be lumped with women's right and for not supporting transgenderism at all. She's also been canceled from speaking at many events, and some institutions threatening to rescind some honours bestowed on her. I have had leads refuse to continue with a gig because they stumbled on a social media post of me saying there are only two genders: male and female. I do not care and nothing in the world would make me state otherwise. I knew what I signed up for. The biggest losers would be the wokeness eating at and swallowing the very woke campaigners themselves - cancel culture. Chrissy Teigen is its most recent victim. Philosophical autophagy at its finest and most hilarious. |
chocboi78:You could put it that way. The Efiks and Annangs are subgroups of the Ibibios. What they speak are dialects of Ibibio but the cultures, traditions and native meals are the same. An Ibibio marrying an Efik or Annang isn't even consiidered an inter-tribal marriage. It's why you'd find us the Ibibios who are traditionally in Akwa Ibom dominating and all over Cross Rivers too. Nyanya of the kukere fame is Efik but he's really Ibibio. He partakes in all Ibibio programmes and events. The Efiks should have been in Akwa Ibom really but it's good because they dominate Cross Rivers (along with Ibibios) and we dominate Akwa Ibom. That's two whole states owned by the Ibibios. |
GABRIEL6036:He's a CrossRiverian. If he's by any chance Efik then the boys are his boys too. Erika and Annangs are subgroups of the Ibibios. Just like the Ekids are too. 20th Century geographical politics is responsible to the seeming demarcation. |
benalvino3:Our guy probably has oil bunkering business going on somewhere. Very typical PH accent. Like Garrison or Water Lines kind of accent. You know that "Who goes you?!" accent. Not saying he has to sound Brit or American (the typical British accent is too nasal which is one the reasons the BBC World Service demands all Brits working for it undergo training to change or modify their accents), but be proud of who you are. Who was he trying to impress with that? Those days are gone and I doubt Nairaland females are still that gullible. Let's assume he has no stake in Nigeria and wants to rescind any connections to her, it brings us back to why he was instrumental to the unrest in the Niger Delta. If he was supporting it vehemently online and attacking people who think violence wasn't the answer, would it be stretching to say he could have gone the extra mile to fund that unrest? The jury is out on that one. |
EnlightenedUFO:UFO, right? May your life burnout faster than a shooting star! Coward. A single soldier ant would beat you in a combat. I had your running tail-between-legs and you disappeared for days. Then you returned hoping you'd ride on the momentum of the back-and-forth between Yozokuna and your lord to throw disses, in the hopes of scoring some points. I'd single you out as always and decimate whatever confidence or courage you could muster to think you could square up against me. You should stay on the sidelines to take notes when your superiors are squaring off. This is not Iya Morufu's roadside stall where you drink illicit gin with okada riders. May you continue to be the inferior one in any gathering! |
EnlightenedUFO:Okokomaiko Taliban. Maybe you should understand context. Ibimental is fat. He also supports the burning down and destruction of the Niger Delta by militants. That's what arsonists do, including by proxy. You'd never be able to gain half the mastery I have of the English Language. It's one of the things I am known for offline and online - having a never-depleting vocabulary stock. May you die as dyslexic as you are. |
Ibime:Are you done? Your accent is proof enough. Your post history is proof enough. There's no "us" here. Don't try to whip sentiments like you always do so you can hide behind a barrage of quotes and comments then slither away. There's just you standing in the searchlight I've beamed on you. You are the one in the dock. |
benalvino3:You live in Port Harcourt, right? You've encountered a those dreadlocked , jean-sagging 'artistes' Treasure FM plays their mixtapes during midnight shows, yes? That's exactly how he sounds like. He exempted himself from having anything to do with Nigeria, claiming he's not an economic migrant but he himself is the stereotypical mimicry for a Nigerian accents. Let's not go into him supporting killings and destruction in Nigeria which he slyly never addresses. |
Ibime:Nobody is asking for your life story here, Yokozuna. Here we deal in facts and facts alone. DarkRèbel also told us his mum is Ukrainian too for years and everyone believed him before he was bursted (the evidence abounds on Nairaland). Here are the facts about you: 1. You are an evil confusionist who supports the bombing, destruction and killings in the Niger Delta, and destruction in Lagos. 2. Even in 2013, you sound like the average Port Harcourt wannabee rapper who's just downed illicit gin. These are the issues and these define who you are. You have visited my Facebook account and all social media accounts. You've have seen what I do for a living (even though I don't post about my itinerary and barely post at all). You are the one making claims you can't back up. Fat-faced arsonist! |
benalvino3:He wouldn't have made it 2013 sounding like that. The only person who did something close to that genre was Mode 9 and back in the 2005 to 2007 era. Mode 9 was also more articulate, enunciated words better and had multiple entrendres and punchlines to ride on which are all lacking here. Still, Mode 9 didn't make it and faded out with the Choc Boys kind of music which came on in 2008. He claims not to have been born in "Umudike" so not an "economic migrant" but he sounds like a migrant with a typical Nigerian accent. He doesn't even sound remotely British on the song. or cosmopolitan. But "I wasn't born in Umudike". |
"I was not born in Umudike." "I am not an economic migrant." But you sound like the everyday up-and-coming Port Harcourt rapper whose rap song sounds like something from the Eedris Abulkareem days of baggy-sagging wannabes with poor quality music videos. Here's you doing a mixtape in 2013: https://soundcloud.com/ibime/maestro I've told you folks not to lie needlessly or be hypocritical when I am around. Insult or be troublesome if you like and I might overlook it but if you lie hypocritically, I'd come for you. |
zendi:His claim is debatable. Stumbled on some mixtape he did from years back when he still had hopes of making it as a rapper - his spoken English accent is as Nigerian as the green, white, and green. Then again, he claims he wasn't born or raised in Nigeria but he's always talked about moving from Nigeria and has always supported the insane destruction of the Niger Delta and crippling of Nigeria's economy by MENDS and other militants. These cruel people sit wherever they are to fuel disunity and destruction in Nigeria because they think they don't have a personal stake in it. Local-search his moniker here on Nairaland then add "militants" and/or "Niger Delta" or "bomb" to it. You'd find pages upon pages of him supporting the destruction and murder sprees in the Niger Delta, and threats of their incursion into Lagos and blowing it up. |
killALIEN:This crass display of religious fanaticism is why more and more people are becoming increasingly irreligious today even though they still believe in the existence of God. People like you lay credence to the assertion in many quarters that religion is an aggregation of theistic cults. |
Livelystone01:Balls! Now this is it. There's no need to be veiled, especially on this thread. Even more so when your persona on here doesn't necessarily contradict your persona elsewhere. And, you are a clergyman of some sort? Now I understand. Then again, nobody's asking that you emulate the attitude of anyone here. Asides Budaa, nobody on this thread is claiming to be a moral lighthouse guiding all our ships to some righteous harbour. Do what you will. But if I am being honest, I'd prefer any people who are more spirited in approach to issues than lukewarm. Conversations get heated and sociopolitical debates already means you are choosing a side. Aren't Christians suppose to be neutral? Screw it: Does your Bible agree with all of the woke and queer campaigns of the Left? Do you believe those things? No, you've already taken a stand then. And the Bible preaches you should stand for what you believe in. The lukewarm, pacifist approach has never gotten anything done. And, if I am being honest, I'd choose any of the spirited guys here who are passionate and vocal about what they believe in that you, a lukewarm person who's trying not to get on nerves by vehemently insisting on what he believes in for "peace's sake". #EndSARS would never have happened with your kind. #EndSARS failed because of your kind. Nigeria is where she is because of your arms-at-akimbo approach. No reorientation or revolution has ever been achieved with your approach. |
budaatum:Alright. You relinquished ownership of the cult but you still stand trial for fraudulent sanctimony and barefaced hypocrisy. These are felonies on this thread. We have to give the mob something to pacify them. Stretch your hand flat on the table. Ben, pass me the matchete. |
budaatum:Alright. So, is it fair to conclude you have lost ownership of your church before it even began? Your Sunday morning cult has crumbled in less than a month and you, the G.O., have been declared wanted. Everyone wants a piece of you. From the charges made, you are accused of sanctimonious fraud. How do you defend yourself? Make it fast. These guys want jungle justice and I can't hold them for too long. You have the floor and 5 minutes only. |
benalvino3:I'm 'serious'. Budaatum doesn't know my 'watch collection' would feed his entire Umudike lineage and state for 40 years with enough left to buy the Burj Khalifa. ![]() |
budaatum:Toddler, nice guy, matured... I'm not bound to any of those tags and never conform. Answer the question, damn it!: Have you ever spent more than #30,000 monthly in your life? No? I knew it! I won't bother with the opinion of a poverty-cursed coon! ![]() |
budaatum:Yes, there's a certificate and levels: Cultist Lite Cultist Extra Cultist Pro Max otherwise referred to as "Poverty-cursed Coon". By the way, have you eaten this week? You certainly have not been to an airport all your life. Jobless Umudikean! ![]() |
budaatum:Alright. Now that you've been 'excommunicated' by the woke papacy, let me read the riot act of your new identity. Repeat after me: I, Budaatum, am: 1. a Coon 2. A Cultist 3. Hungry 4. Have not had electricity for 7 months 5. Live with mosquitoes and bedbug 6. Dependent on #30,000 per month 7. Jobless Know this by heart as you'd have to recite to earn the Umudikean certificate. Meet Ben for your ID card and registration details. ![]() |
budaatum:So you were part of the doxxing yet going about calling everyone else infantile? This happened before I became more regular on this thread but it's revealing - tells how serpentine you can be. All that "not rolling in the mud with pigs" was actually you being Lord Baelish. I already pointed out you were online when Yozokuna posted my personal details. I also have no doubt that, like others, you went searching. You don't have to admit it. Yet you saw nothing wrong with that. Now that hypocrisy part is worse than any doxxing itself in my books. |
benalvino3:When Yozokuna posted my full names and social media accounts on this thread, they all laughed and went digging. I got some fake monikers all week messaging me for some services. Even Budaatum (and everyone else) was online that night of June 1. I got 'likes' on photos from years ago that night. The only reason I wasn't trolled was posting my info improved my stock on this thread. Nothing could be used to troll me including my pictures, what I do and more. They even found out I organise and fund projects in my state free of charge and Ibime was trying to measure up to me by posting WhatsApp screenshots. If I had anything embarrassing, even the Amazon girl who has been playing blind and scared of me would have trolled me with it. When the other guy posted Prideoflincoln's information including his pictures, names, family photos and more, they all rose up to condemn it, inviting Myñd44 to delete them. See the hypocrisy? I could easily post Yokozuna's full information here, including his pictures as revenge but he did free PR work for me which I would commend, oddly. Like I stated, I want Grandpa to repeat that trolling tactics again. He'd get police summons in days and lose his earning power. I swear this by everything sacred in the universe. The kids glove treatment is off now. ![]() |
budaatum:Maybe, maybe not. I'm not bound by those psychological Nairaland ethical shackles like 'respect', 'gentleman', 'peacemaker' and the likes which aggressors bestow on others so they can insult anyone out of the blues needlessly and get away with it while those at the receiving end play meek for the fleeting satisfaction of being called "Nice guy". I'm no nice guy - civil, wouldn't do crime or engage in vices - but no nice guy all the same. And, like always, I'd shake off any attempt to try to shackle me with the "nice guy" handcuffs. I've had disagreements with almost everyone on the Left bordering on difference in sociopolitical stances on this thread (as usual with the debates) but never have I gone out to target one person. PrideofLincoln probably thinks he can square up to me. He thinks he can needlessly antagonise. There's only one alpha when I am around. ![]() I want him to do anything close to doxxing which has been celebrated on this thread. More pointedly, I want him to repost even my full names on this thread. Bluff? Maybe, maybe not But I'd help him find out how the DissTrôy moniker came about. ![]() |
budaatum:He was referring to Baba60+. And, no, all the times I have ever intimidated people on Nairaland, they've always been the first to needlessly and constantly go out of their way to antagonise me. Typically, I'd warn them twice to be civil then go all out on you if they persist. I'd debate when I want to but if you want to personalise it, I'm good. Let's give Nairaland one more show since 2018. I warned Baba60+ twice. In September and May. There's no going back now. I already promised him and nothing would change that. It's a countdown from here on. ![]() |
jubilantagida:You'd have to learn proper design if your main interest is frontend. Clients like functional websites but they prioritise beautiful interfaces too. Your work is good with just CSS and HTML for a beginner. |
arthurwillia:It shouldn't. You already have analytical skills and can understand at the basics what syntax is. I don't have an engineering background myself. Most programmers don't. |
