Welcome on board my brother. Plenty of us made such mistake we are all waiting for solution propably from some here.

I only just realized it was in the instructions that we cant skip questions or scroll back. How silly of me not to have read it. It is unlike me not to read instructions before any exam. cry. I wrote to support this morning using support@nasims.gov.ng. I don't know if anything can be done. cry

Hello guys, hope we are all doing great. I tried taking the test and my profile was blocked after two attempts. Okay this is how it happened. When I started the test the first time, I skipped the questions that would take my time and went to the easier questions. So when it was time to go back to the previous questions and also go over what I had already done the portal suddenly hung and that was it. I could not refresh the page, neither could I go back or forward. I thought this was a network problem so I logged out and logged in again. Fortunately I was able to log in and I was given a totally different set of new questions to start again. I tried to use the same tactics as the first time, go over those I knew then go back to those I didn’t. Same thing happened as earlier. I tried logging in again but I was told my profile has been blocked, and I was asked to contact support. Please who else had a similar experience? Or has anyone tried contacting support, please what is support’s email addy? Thanks

Took me 3 weeks of going in circles to all MTN centers before I finally struck gold at Iju Ishaga branch @ 7:30 pm

Wow. Congratulations enimcnite. Did you have to do any fingerprint capturing, I mean at MTN office after submitting your NIN? I am trying to retrieve an MTN sim for my sister, who is not in Nigeria at the moment. She receives bank alerts, and other notifications on that sim so it is quite important to her. I have all the necessary documents MTN asked of her. MY ID, sworn affidavits for retrieval by proxy from her own end, letter of authorization and a copy of her ID. However, she does not have an NIN yet as she has been unable to register over there because they have been on total lockdown due to the second wave of this covid-19 pandemic. Is there a way one can retrieve such line without the NIN due to the peculiarity of her case? Thanks

Could these cadets be the reason why the list was not released as the training school was occupied. Now that this set has graduated and left the training school a new set of cadets can now come in. But i hope the new set can come in immediately. Let's hope the new list will come out soon.

Hmmmm. Are you an OSS or LSS scholar? "To me", this does not look authentic. Let's see the email handle that sent this to you. Also with the PTDF mails I have been privileged to come across, I know PTDF hardly uses Hi. They use Dear ......, and there is always a logo at a strategic part of the body of their emails. I cant see that here too. The grammatical errors in this your email is also very questionable. I am sorry but I am not convinced this is authentic.

Shortlist for screening is coming out this month.
Physical screening and document verification is January.. physical screening, documents verification and IPPs capturing will be conducted same day. Successful applicants will receive text to come get APL on a specific day intervals at MOI or designated location. Mind you, this year screening will be by batch to avoid over crowding. INTEL

Thank you for the info. Please can you help us find out the following
1. What is the status of one who does not have a FSLC?
2. You mentioned that physical screening, documents verification and IPPs capturing would be done on the same day. Since IPP is captured, does
that mean people would not be screened out after this stage.

I chatted one of the NIS official that will participate in the up coming screening and he told me that graduate certificate verification is Very easy and is verified immediately at the venue through NYSC portal and same apply to SSCE holders. The only applicant that tend to stress them is NCE/ND holders.

For the shortlist, he said that the workload was much for NIS and CDIFEDC that they may release it anytime. Everyone should saddle his Letter of state Identification, certificate of birth, NIN slip, Olevel, NCE/ND, HND/Bsc, gurantors form, application slip is not necessary etc

Thank you for the information. So around when should we looking our for an update, and do we check our individual portals, or is it going to be a list?

Hello all. Hope we are all having a great weekend. May we all be favored in this recruitment. I was taking a look at this guarantor’s form and I got a bit worried about their requirements. The guarantor must attach his/her ID and passport?? How do you all intend to get referees? Is there an easy way out? These requirements no be here o. As for the case of principals, what if the principal is from a private school I did not attend. I hope that will not pose an issue. Also can one’s parent who is a retired civil servant, and who retired at level 12 serve as one of the guarantors? I hope there would be enough time between when the list comes out and when we would be called for screening. Cheers.

The last time I checked, FSLC still remains a very important government certificate (It is used by the Ministry of Education). So government agencies don't joke with it during recruitment exercise. However, Testimonial issued directly by our individual primary school is also acceptable by Paramilitary Agencies.

People have argued that some government agencies prefer FSLC to Testimonial. But for me, I don't have FSLC because I didn't sit for the exam then. I have always been using my Testimonial for all recruitment exercise I participated in including the Military before I eventually got commisioned in NCS.

Thank you very much for clarifying this. You are blessed

Having read a lot of comments here, both true and otherwise, I ll like to drop few words.

I ll begin by letting you know that I was in your shoes (an applicant ) for 2017 NIS Recruitment Exercise which was finally concluded in 2018 (Superintendent Cadre - ASI II) but didn't make the final list. I was pained at that time considering my previous efforts on different Uniform Jobs and that one in particular.

However, to the glory of God, I made the final list in the 2018 NPS recruitment which was finalized in 2019. And today, I am a TRAINED COMMISSIONED OFFICER of Nigerian Correctional Service hanging two shinning stars . i.e Assistant Superintendent of Corrections I (ASC I).

Now, to the main points I ll like to share...

To those doubting their statement of results of whatever Academic Level and Year, lemme tell you that you have nothing to fear so long you actually got it from a recognized Institution. I used MSc statement of result which I got in 2017 and didn't face any challenge during certificates submission. At my station, i just recently met an officer of 2016 set who also had his BSc in 2012 from the same University i did my Master's degree. He told me he hasn't collected his Original Certificate from the Uni and it didn't affect his promotion. The department just promoted all officers of 2016 set from one to a month ago and backdated it to 01/01/2018 (It is called advancement/ confirmation)

Although, the Permanent Secretary to the CDCFIB appends his original signature (NOT SCANNED) on every single APL. Be aware that appointment for Superintendent Cadre (Commissioned Officer) is from CDCFIB while the appointment of Senior Inspector to lowest cadre is from the Controller General. That's the reason Superintendent Cadre are given the Presidential Commissioning. One particular paragraph spells this out on the APL unlike APL of SIC downward. However, with the recent Harmonisation of Ranks, I cannot categorically say that APL for HND holders WILL or WILL NOT carry Presidential Commissioning. One thing that is certain now in all four departments is that HND holder now wears same rank, gets same pay and now enjoys some privileges hitherto, exclusively reserved for BSc holders.

On the next thing after JAMB CBAT? Of course, a lot of applicants will still make the next stage _ Certificates, physical and Medical screening. Take Note: Paramilitary is not like Military where you ll be subjected to Strenuous Physical, Mental and Medical tests. (I once did that of NAVY DSSC so I can bodly say what obtains in the two) For NIS, they may decide to conduct few physical exercise for Applicants or they may just ask you to come along with a tenable Medical Certificate from a recognized hospital. On the academic certificates vetting, they may want to fish out some anomalies in your age vis-a-vis dates on your certificates, expecially in your FLSC or Testimonial (Both are acceptable in Paramilitary). You will be given some official forms to fill too at this stage. If you have falsified your age, try and perfect your documents to avoid any questioning during this next stage. This, however doesn't even prevent you from getting the job if you ve got semi-gods up there. Many of my colleagues were far above 30, some were even in their early 40s. While some decided to reduce their age, few used it like that and today, they are officers. Most applicants tend to reduce thier age cos they wanna enjoy more years in the service not necessarily considering old-age ill-health.

To finalise my long epistle...

✓ Not everyone who makes it to the next stage will eventually make it to the final stage of APL collection and IPPIS capturing.

✓ I ll advise all and above to-be-officers whose Appointments come from Board to intensify their efforts in connecting to the God Almighty and semi-gods if they have one. Appointment from the Board has numbers and it is obviously countable.

✓ those applicants for other ranks too should ask for favour from the Supreme Being. A very significant number of Assistant Cadre in my department, expecially those of 2019 set which I know very well got the job without knowing any body nor paying a dime. Infact, three among them who are somewhat close to me are undergraduates and just decided to apply with SSCE and they got.

And just to add this, you guys are coming on board at the time when lots of reformations are happening across all four departments under Interior Ministry. Efforts are underway to implement One Level Forward pay where you ll be collecting the salary of your immediate Senior.

May the good Lord grant us our heart desires, amen.

This is detailed. Thanks for taking out time to shed more light on the grey areas. May your days be blessed. A quick question please. Is it compulsory for one to tender the FSLC? What if one does not have a FSLC?
