It is indeed a very worrying development, what beats my imagination is the way some parents who enrolled their wards in that Islamic school defended the teaching methods and denied all alleged sexual exploitations, other members of the community found nothing wrong with the goings on in the center. It is very difficult to free a people who find slavery as normal, it beats my imagination how a parent who barely fed well while single, decides to have 15 children with no viable source of income. This is a cultural problem, our society places a lot of importance on having alot of children, no one cares if these children are given a decent upbringing, nothern Nigeria is a ticking time bomb, especially with the almajiri system currently practiced. I find it really disgusting when Northern elites and billionaires are very ready to fund an Islamic Quranic centre and a mosque but will act dumb and unaware of the almajiri system and abject poverty in their land. TERRIBLE.

the funny thing about those Quranic centers is that no matter how religious those elites are, their children would never attend them. They instead send their children to receive the best of education abroad. When these kids return from their educational tourism, they are placed in very high positions in the private and public sectors and they end up as next generation politicians...hmmm!!!!

I have a very serious family problem, my parents decided to take a female relative of ours from our home town to come live with us in Port Harcourt, due to the fact that she couldn't continue with her education and had to learn a skill.

This lady was enrolled in one of these computer centers to at least be a computer literate since non of my family members had the time to teach her and she wanted to learn.

Every morning she goes on an errand for my mom before moving along to learn in the computer center, not knowing she was dating and sleeping with a guy.

My mom never thought she would ever behave in such a stupid way, I mean coming to an unknown place for the first time and already dating a guy within a short period was something my mom never expected.

She got pregnant a month before Christmas, she told no one and waited till we all travelled back home to tell her mother. All of a sudden we started hearing rumors of how the girl we brought back home got pregnant and my mom was to blame for it.

This girls mother took out the all the blame on my mom and not her daughter, this woman said that my mother neglected her daughter to fall prey to men in the city but took care of me because am her own child, till today my mom and the ladies mother are not speaking to each other.

For Christs sake this lady is 26 years old and 4 years away from clocking 30, am younger than the lady and due to my introvert nature i tend to stay indoors and out of trouble not even because of my mom, if I wanted to become wild i would have, a long time ago.

So pls is my mom truly at fault here?

If this was a voting process I would give my mom 50 votes before even considering giving my dad even a single vote. Mom simply makes life easy to live. Dad on the other hand, not so much. Infact, he complicates things. I have often wondered what would happen if he was not around...the truth is that he has made many decisions on my behalf and that of the family that didn't really go to plan. He is not a bad person person per say but compared to mom, he is no match..my mom can die for her children. The funny thing is that this sentiment is shared by everyone in the family except...my sister, who happens to be the only girl in the family. Inside life I guess! @obembet you are still my favorite.....

Congrats to Messi, although I have a personal opinion about this, I would like to keep it personal and avoid controversy. Coupled with the fact that it was a clear voting process, I guess it's Ok.
