I have seen consultants prescribe drugs that are not from big brands especially BP drugs
Patient use them for years and it's not harmful to them

If it's cancer drugs and other tougher diseases drugs which are very expensive
The big pharmacy Companies control those ones even the Asian manufacturers can't produce them

So generic drugs from big brands alternative can be gotten from cheaper producers

Importers are main problem , they want to make quick money instantly and overtime, that cheap plug you bought for #800 will probably last one month on daily use but the original spark plug can last as long as 8month, on the long run most Nigeria consumers are penny wise pound foolish.
On the long run it cost more to settle for fake/inferior items, it more profitable for a seller when a consumer buys fake and come back for replacement often than those that wil buy original and won't show up in the market for long
