patriotic007: My dear it will be very unwise to think a 2months old privatisation will cure a 50yrs old decay,...lets been logical here,....its not a matter of abuses,....Electricity is not air,....Its has basic components,...you need to build it,....Our power sector has been stagnant for 30yrs,....No new power plants,No new distribution infrastructure,,,,Dead transmission network,....It will be very wicked to think a two month privatisation will solve it,....Am speaking from an Engineering point of view my dear,.....If we will have 18hrs light nationwide in 5yrs time then we must do the following,...complete at least 3power plant yearly,...build at least 600kilometers of transmision lines nation wide yearly,...Get a new Grid, and invest at least 2billion dollars in our distribution network,....and so far GEJ is the only one that has done something close to that my dear
you just made my year, when i read some post here on nairaland of supposed well read dudes i began to wonder if all they do is facebook.twitter and co. this guys fail to research just the commonest of info even with google thats a click away and yet you here them call people names. when obviously they are dunce, daft !! they use in qualifying our leaders who even try to think for them..keep it up bro

seriously i love your passion but truth is Nigeria and Nigerians can never be like them(obama and co.)..i personally don't like comparing both countries..obama supports gay marriage seriously do you expect Nigerians to do same huhnote: what makes you different makes you beautiful..happy new year dear
Obiagelli: Is there a kfc store in the white house? Yet Obama pays for his own food. How do you feel eating from state purse while millions go hungry, yet we create excuses for them. Sad.
Politics › Re: No More Food In Aso Rock: Jonathan by dlox147(m): 6:03pm On Dec 31, 2013
hey babe! we are all bitter about the state of Nigeria so chill...but wait ohh ever heard of the "phrase division of labor"? so you expect to have a KFC or MR BIGGS in aso villa common you are smarter than that? more so imagine the president going to such place's like that all the time, can you imagine the protocol involved(it will even drain the treasury more) huh huh..just live with it and move on to something else..happy new year wink
Obiagelli: why can't they feed out of their pockets or salaries? Silly analysis.

hahahahaha..try harder bro..even if Wike took the cash which sounds funny anyway,is Ameachi not the the governor? if he is then who should we hold responsible..guy make we try dey talk true sometimes..cheers

Politics › Re: No More Food In Aso Rock: Jonathan by dlox147(m): 4:32pm On Dec 31, 2013
in places like that, the catering needs are usually contracted out to a catering company!..E.g where i work presently, the budget for a single meal charged by the catering company is 3k plus a meal. And we are usually up to a 100 or more persons on board a day and that means 9 k + 3 k for tea and coffee per person ..so if we do the maths it means 12k x 100 prsns =1,200,000..for a month =36,000,000..for a year =432,000,000. looking at the size of personals expected in Aso villa you should expect more plus the calculation above excludes alcoholic beverages..guy forget the media they just deliberately want to make this govt look bad...hope i answered your question?
padeolu: I still wonder the kind of food they eat in Aso Rock that costs this much.
Politics › Re: Jonathan's Projects In Rivers State,a Response To Amarchi's Lies And Propaganda by dlox147(m): 3:29pm On Dec 31, 2013
yes because of the available funds then(recurrent expenditure and corruption to an extent was largely responsible for this), the govt reduced this by the civil service reforms that reduced ghost workers and all. and for corruption trying to tackle it from the source, which we will all agree now that the complete removal off the subsidy would have reduce to a reasonable extent.

for the politically angle, Bro i'm sure you know the answer(smiling)..
abes: Why was the amount allocated not enough? What do you mean by highly politicized? I'n here to learn.....
Politics › Re: Jonathan's Projects In Rivers State,a Response To Amarchi's Lies And Propaganda by dlox147(m): 3:17pm On Dec 31, 2013
thank you brother, you failed to mention his latest crusade to provide water for us? he should used the money to that if was so important to him.ameachi also told us one year into his administration , that he had 100billion saved for the rivers people to provide water and yet he is running around the world bank and ADB seeking for loan for that same purpose ..shame
rolchi: Amaechi is playing propaganda and we all know it. No state government can do the E/W Road, especially the lot in Bayelsa & Rivers States. If Amaechi has got the money, let him complete the Mono Rail for Mass Transportation. And I wonder what mass transportation is there, when the so called monorail so far done since 6 years is from the beginning of Azikiwe Road up to Station B/Stop. For those of us that live in PHC, we all know that from Azikiwe Road to Station B/Stop is very very very well strollable and currently, there is never a traffic congestion on this route except if there is traffic bottleneck.
Politics › Re: Jonathan's Projects In Rivers State,a Response To Amarchi's Lies And Propaganda by dlox147(m): 3:09pm On Dec 31, 2013
there was!..but i think the problem then was the amount allocated to the east-west road project which happens to fall under the capital budget was not enough and was highly politicized at that time...its like saying you want to buy a car out of necessecite worth 1mil and you can only afford 100k annually undecided
abes: You mean there was no budget for the road before sure-p?
Politics › Re: Jonathan's Projects In Rivers State,a Response To Amarchi's Lies And Propaganda by dlox147(m): 2:49pm On Dec 31, 2013
i agree with that it should have been concluded long ago but tell me, where the funds available? No..what happened then was that the govt before the sure-p could only provide 10% of the total amount needed for the project annually which mathematically would have meant finishing the road in ten years..so the injection of sure-p fund which i guess coincided with ameachi's issues with orubebe saved the day..so my friend the sure-p did the magic and not your beloved ameachi ..thanks
Abagworo: East-West Road should have been completed long ago. Amaechi's problem with Jonathan came to limelight after Amaechi openly demanded for FG to hand over East-West Road for him ad other Governors to construct.

like i said he confirmed it ..and it is important to note that he is no politician and since they(govt) have assured us of the progress and they say it will be online soon lets wait and see and if nothing happens we can now come to say they lied...happy new in advance..
kel4soft: Please am happy if this was true. I live close to railway at Woji and is just a throw stone to Elelenwo. Bush has covered the rail. Infact as am talking to you that area you mentioned is a slum (close to the rail). No work is visible there. Train moved last since 2003. So I don't know where your friend heard movement of train.

If you argue with me. Am going to that area later today. I will take pictures and prove to you. No work has been done on any train road in PH. And I when I say PH, am including Oyigbo axis also.

35 states can't afford to pay salaries without the federal govt, so what has the progressive states been able to achieve when they cannot even pay salaries of workers..if they where all private companies they would have gone under grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin..yet they criticize the fed govt
Politics › Re: Review Of F.g. Achievements In 2013 Live, Ait by dlox147(m): 2:08pm On Dec 31, 2013
on corruption..government controlled economy encourages corruption and therefore the govt is trying to reduce corruption by opening up the economy to the private sector. also current reforms have led to the reduction in corruption in some key sectors like the civil service, nitel and various sectors......

a colleague of mine who lives at elelenwo confirmed that for the past one month they have been confirmed night movements of train. so my man cool down and be happy for your country while we pray for improvement..

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS...the minister just revealed something as serious as this and this is all you have to say..
payless: LIES! LIES! LIES!

This administration is simply inept to say the least. First, it was people stealing the gas. Now, people are blowing up gas pipelines with dynamites. The Jonathanians are running out of lies, day by day.

take sometime out and do some research before you decide to post..ameachi gingered? Is ameachi sure-p?? my brother the funds made available from the sure-p contributed to the success thus far!!!..thanks
Abagworo: The truth is that othing has been done by FG in Rivers State. NDDC is the biggest fraud ever and Jonathan recently admitted it. I'm happy Amaechi has gingered them to commence work on East-West Road.
