psucc: Aid cum colonialism. It is my honest belief that the anti-gay bill if upheld and implemented will bring about nigeria's freedom. Just a matter of time, those countries that would be able to stand out will rule the world. Evil is already befalling those that promotes homosexuals.they SHLD stop with all this aid thing..WHAT WE NEED IS TRADE n not thr so called aid..i trust our govt will go ahead with signing this bill into law.. |

British Prime Minister, David Cameron, on Friday said his government might consider cutting off aid to Nigeria over same sex marriage bill passed by the House of Representatives on Thursday. The Senate had passed its own version in November 2011. Cameron spoke on a British Broadcasting Corporation programme monitored in Lagos. He said he would take up the issue with President Goodluck Jonathan soon. The prime minister said he would restate his government’s strong objection to the passage of the bill. The prime minister was reacting to a question by a Nigerian resident in London, Bisi. “When we meet with Nigerian politicians and leaders, we will be clear about those things we agreed on. We have to be clear where we disagree. We will make clear where we stand on those issues,” he said. When asked whether Britain would consider stopping a projected 50 per cent increase in aid to Nigeria or cutting it outright, Cameron said, “Nothing is off the table. We need to have these conversations. We also have some very important objectives with Nigerians, for instance on how to deal with the appalling rates of poverty in Northern Nigeria, which are part of the problems confronting the country.” Britain and some Western Nation had previously expressed opposition to the bill. Cameron had in October 2011 threatened to cut off aid to countries which ban gay and lesbians. http://news.naij.com/37259.html |

The henry okah & oct 1st saga paint a paranoid caricature of him also, honestly, mr president is not worthy of the north trust if he does not amend how he run things in this country.
seriously? is that d best u can offer? ![]() |
The move by a ranking member of the House of Representatives, Farouk Lawan, and his colleague Boniface Emenalo, to dismiss bribery charges against them has been rejected by the court. An Abuja High Court presided over by Justice Mudashiru Oniyangi on Friday morning dismissed the application of the accused to quash the charges. The court ruled in favour of the prosecution, the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC, on the three issues. The court ruled that it has jurisdiction, that there is evidence of crime against the prosecution, and that the charges are not an abuse of court process. The counsel to the lawmakers said he would consult with his clients before deciding on appeal. http://news.naij.com/33745.html |

Guys, just saw this n luagh won kill me....ENJOY ![]() ****Growing up as a kid I heard enough lies, myths and Zobos as some people will like to put it. Once a classmate even had the guts to tell the whole class in Primary 4 that he had a WHALE! at his back-yard swimming pool. That almost caused a fight as the argument that broke out was almost as devastating as those seen when the National Assembly come together to discuss National Issues. When it comes to the sports myths, it gets worse. After what I heard years back, i am still searching for the video of Jay Jay Okocha that sees him dribble all eleven members of the opposing team one after the other (twice) before scoring what would surely be the greatest goal in German football as the goalie in that game was Oliver kahn #Wunderbar. But the greatest of lie has to be that of the game that never held: between Nigeria and India at the National Stadium, Lagos in a year that the originator didn’t care to share. I rate this as the greatest Football lie due to the fact that it has spread to all corners of the Nation and the lasting effect it has on the mind of any young child that payed serious attention to this incredible tale. Wide-eyed and with innocent mouths gasping, we listened to the narrator deliver this legendary tale As the Story goes: The Super Eagles played the Indian football team in a match at The National Stadium in Lagos. The game started off well but after a short while the Indians scored and moments later scored again and again and again. The fans in the stands couldn’t comprehend what was going on as the players seemed to leave the ball for their opponents each time they came in contact. The Nigerian players were playing like they were scared of getting close to the Indians and the goalie kept on leaving the goal in fear each time the opponents got into the box. When the players were asked they all explained with a sense of bewilderment that the Indians turned into lions in front of their very eyes and out of fear they gave away the ball as would anyone in their right minds. But as the game went on, the strong willed Nigerians played on with what ever courage they could muster and worked very hard to salvage something. By the time stoppage time was indicated the visitors had just scored their 99th goal and were going for a century (WHAT A MINUTE? I GET IT! IT MUST HAVE BEEN A CRICKET GAME). Anyways as the excellent narrator carried on, he revealed that the Nigerians finally broke into the opposition half with courage and from the flanks a cross was delivered and met with a delicious header from an attacker. GOAAAAAAL! we had pulled something back but the goal scorer remained on the floor motionless and lifeless. He was stretched off and all efforts to resuscitate this hero of some sorts were in vain. Sad end to a game of Football. The aftermath of the game saw India after thorough investigation banned for about 50 years by FIFA for using black magic during a game and with that the Story came to an end and we talked about it for days. In Truth: The Indians were banned by FIFA for refusing the directive by the governing body to wear football boots for all official games Sam Okwaraji was the player rumored to have lost his life in that game when in truth he died during a FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Angola at the same venue with just munites left. May his soul rest in Perfect Peace. AMEN But all in all these tales are part and parcel of our journey from childhood to adulthood and we learn to appreciate them with a pinch of salt, looking back at them with fond memories and enough laughter to fill our tummies #Cheers http://nnamdinho89./2012/02/23/nigeria-vs-india-the-greatest-lie-ever-told/ |

koruji: Your reply should have been to provide facts on GEJ 's facilitation efforts so we can give him his due. You are the one that clearly claimed that this is GEJ working without stating how he facilitated it. I guess according to your logic every woman/man that opens a food store to provide employment is evidence of GEJ working. In reality these activities may be against all the odds of a GEJ presidency.what encourages private investors?, Good economy!.. How do you achieve a stable economy?, Good policies!... who makes this policies?, the Govt!.. Who is leading this Govt?...PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN!!!! ![]() |
Hw do mean i should listen to myself. Oh because she is my sister i should side her. No not like that. "treat the stolen oil like blood diamonds"...thats what it should be, letting them no that the buyer of stolen goods is also a thief..LOVE YOU MADAM NOI.. ![]() |
ROSSIKE: Honestly I've never seen a group of people who are so pained to hear of positive developments in their own country. It's really incredible. Maybe they're cursed.i sincerely don't think this guys are Nigerians.... |
ewet: Please tell me a serious govt whoo will embark on projects as basic as road construction and will tell its people tht if you cannot let go of subsidy you cannot get any roads, functional refineries, railways, electricity, health care, education in short nothing without subsidy removal.bros,..*We don’t see things the way they are, we see things the way we are* |
Fhemmmy: From the tone of your writings, it seems like the President have a clue who are doing all these, so what stops him from rounding them up, he has mapped a plan and yet his employees are not making it happen and such people still resume to office day after day and yet the leader is looking and hoping, then, he is not fit.Bro this man(GEJ), has done all that*changing security chiefs" since this mess escalated..you see, that was why i asked "what you wld hav differently" ..Nigeria has its peculiarity. Religion and tribe is our biggest problem..you don't expect them to just go ahead and start arresting ppl jst because your intel tells you he/she is involved in something, the implication; he/she is set free when he gets to court for lack of evidence...lets face it, no country has won the war on terror!! |
Fhemmmy: If i were him, with the kinda resources in his hands, i will do better, and if i dont have the resources to make something happen, i will not be too proud to be real with the people and just ask for the resources that is needed . . . the fact remain one thing that to be the leader, these are part of the challenges he must face and how you handle it will define the kinda leader he is and so far, tell me what he has achieved.I feel your pain cos am also bitter!! but not for GEJ, but for those who hav decided to do anything for regional politics.they are the ones that started this whole mess in the first place. And the ppl from that region have decided not to work with the govt to rid the nation of this mess? Its simple this ppl no this guys(BH) but have refused to work with the security operatives..Guy GEJ is no police officer. He has done his part by drafting security operatives there ! its left for them (citizen and scrty operatives) to encourage this.. |
Fhemmmy: That is the reason why it is important for us to ave a leader that would be able to tackle this issue of security. . . or someone that at least have a game planCan you suggest to me, what you would have done differently , if you where in GEJ shoes with the available resources and man power at his disposal..Burn down the whole northern region?..SMH Are the security personnels not working? Did government refuse any form of dialogue? Do you think the Govt is happy about the bombings? Brother its a collective fight, so lets stop all this complain and play our role's as concerned citizen's...one small information from you to the police , can help save hundreds... |
cogitoErgo: Nawa o, wit all dis bombing here nd there in Nigeria? What if there is peace all over Nigeria?thats what the sponsors of this bombings don't want us to achieve..imagine the concept of Nigeria, in a more positive perspective?..I pity our youths who have taken to criticism rather than join hand and let us make this country great! long live NIGERIA |
Michaeljones36: What does Bill Clinton have to do with Nigeria?he is the former president of the the same country(USA) that wants to kill our able presido for granting state pardon to some nigerians..now u see d connection now ? |
