10. National Centre for the Performing Arts, China

The National Centre for the Performing Arts, NCPA shortly, unlike the newest buildings in China took almost 6 years to be built – it was started in 2001 with the project of Paul Andreu and it was finished in 2007. But all the time it had been built was worth, considering the result – the building resembles an enormous egg, lying in an artificial lake, it is all made of titanium and glass and looks really amazing!

The Cubic houses in Rotterdam and Helmond, Netherlands were designed by Piet Blom. Habitat 67 in Canada is a complex which resembles a very interesting arrangement of cubes that kids play with. It is pretty interesting how it was designed – it looks so original and the same time is a building completely stable and comfortable for living! 5. The Crooked House, Poland

The crooked house in Sopot, Poland has an extraordinary and amazing structure. It was built in 2003 with design based on the pictures of Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg. It looks as taken from a cartoon movie, its design is “crooked”, but a kind of symmetrically, so it is not ugly at all, just strange! The interesting part is how builders managed to create this genius idea, but the house is a fact and everyone admires their creativity!

1. Stone House, Portugal

The stone house in Portugal really resembles the famous home of the Flintstones. It is built between two rocks and its architecture has impressed some of the greatest names of the branch. Not speaking that becoming so famous, the house was attacked by some vandals and in sequence of the attacks it was equipped with bullet resistant windows and a steel door. The house is pretty comfortable inside, having a fireplace and everything necessary, so it is a wonderful example of modern architecture in Stone Age style! Unbelievable!

Politics › Kebbi: Petrol Tanker Loaded With Arms Intercepted By Army by dlox147(op): 6:17am On Jul 14, 2013
The Army has announced the interception of a petrol tanker loaded with arms and ammunitions in Kebbi.
The Commanding Officer, 1 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Lt. Col. Sunday Ilori, told newsmen on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi that the vehicle, bearing the logo of Mobil Oil, was intercepted on July 11, in a joint operation with men of the State Security Service.
He listed the items recovered in the fuel compartment of the oil tanker as three AK 47 Riffles, one RPG-2, nine AK 47 magazines, two bombs, three RPG chargers and 790 rounds of 7.62mm of special ammunitions
“The arrest and confiscation of arms was sequel to the on-going operations of the 1 Battalion of the Nigerian Army with headquarters in Sokoto, against insurgency and insurgent activities within its area of responsibilities.
“The efforts resulted in the arrest of one suspect, arms and ammunition and a petrol tanker on July 11, 2013 after a combined operation between the 1 Battalion of the Nigerian Army and the State Security Services,” Mr. Ilori said.
He added that two other suspects had escaped when the vehicle was intercepted, assuring that investigation was on to “unravel the source and ownership of the arms and ammunition”.
The commanding officer appealed to the public to continue supporting the Army and other security agencies in the current war against insurgents in the country.
The suspect claimed that he was paid N500, 000 to deliver the items to Sokoto and that the owners had threatened to eliminate his family

Nairaland General › NASA Finds Message From God On Mars by dlox147(op): 10:30pm On Jul 06, 2013
NASA announced today that its Curiosity Rover has found an unambiguous message from God written on tablets in a Martian cave.

According to an official press release two giant stone slabs the size of small elephants were located deep inside a cavern abutting Aeolis Mons, a large mountain.

Upon one tablet is a copy of the Ten Commandments and the text of John 3:16 written in 12 languages - including English, Spanish, Chinese, Basque and Hebrew. On the other tablet is a simple message in English reading "I am real."

According to top scientists who have studied the discovery extensively, these findings may have definitively established Christianity as the one true religion.

"This is amazing," says Syms Covington, an Australian researcher working for NASA's Mars Exploration Program. "We went into the cave looking for water, and we found proof of God's existence instead.

"I mean how else did those tablets get there? I can tell you one thing: there's not a single atheist inside NASA's control room now. What we saw was jaw-dropping."

Genesis 1:1
NASA's Curiosity rover arrived on Mars in August of last year with a mission to explore the Martian climate and geology for signs for habitability.

Thus far the mission has been a success, with the discovery of an ancient seabed and chemicals needed for life suggesting that Mars was once suitable for life.

However the tablets, both of which are signed "Peace and Love - Yahweh," represent the rover's most significant find to date, and is perhaps the most important scientific event in history.

"When people find out about this, they will demand change in our society," explains a political scientist at Georgetown University. "Democracy will have to give way to theocracy. We're gonna have to build more churches and reintroduce prayer into schools. Abortion is defiantly going to be illegal within a few months."

Despite its potential significance, Covington fears that the Earth-shattering discovery may not make the impact it should.

"Unfortunately, the mainstream media is so anti-Christian, they might not even pick up this story," he explains. "But God is real. We have proof. And everyone deserves to hear the truth."

Health › Re: Nigeria Has 7 Hospitals For Kidney Transplant- Health Minister by dlox147(m): 5:11pm On Jun 15, 2013
Pedagogue:

D problem with Nigerians is that majority of us accept whatever we are told without asking questions!

GEJ and the minister cannot claim (and of course they've not claimed) that these 7 hospitals have not been undertaking kidney transplant surgeries before this administration!!

Thus, the headline is in bad taste! If the minister feels they equipped these 7 teaching hospitals with the 'state of the art equipments', don't we deserve to know what was spent and what was bought!!! So, the pictures represents all the billions d ministry got as allocations in 2 years? Politicians have a way of swindling Nigerians sha!!! If not, why wil anyone see these as the achievements of the federal ministry of health in 2 years?

Just like in other sectors, GEJ has not in anyway done anything significant in the health sector...Why was his wife not treated in Nigeria? Is it not a slap on his face that his wife could not be treated in the country he presides over? To make matters worse, they even have the audacity to lay claim to achievements in hospitals they do not believe in!!!
If the Minister of health has kidney failure tomorrow (God forbid) i'm sure he will abandon the so called state of the art facilities and travel to Germany...So,what are they celebrating?
On a sarcastic note, it is instructive to note that GEJ's brother was treated in Nigeria (Aso Rock hospital) for what was described as 'minor sickness',but quite sadly, he died!!! Patience Jonathan was hospitalised in Germany and at a point, she said she was dead for many days...Today, she's hale and hearty!!! Is this not an ironical description of the way things are in this country?

*So. In what way has GEJ transformed or ingested 'fresh air' to our health care system? His family, ministers and associates fly out to treat headache and malaria while the masses are left to visit the slaughter slabs they call hospitals!!
Mandela has never been flown out of his country for treatment...Is SA not an African country like Nigeria? How can such happen in Nigeria when Nigerians unwittingly support politicians that create a separate world for themselves and a different one for the masses! What is good for d goose should be good for the gander!!!

bro a little research wld hav saved d stress of this whole write up..
