Thank you DMAINMAN, i have read all through the 7 pages of this thread. i have questions for those that are familiar with the process;

Most schools in the United Kingdom requires a minimum of a 2.1 but i have 2.2 with industry experience with no publication, but i have certificate of a conference i presented a scientific paper. Do i stand a chance for admission in those schools under PTDF esp university of manchester and kings college london

Try Salford University. Check the entry requirements of other schools and courses.

Even the Almighty Imperial college, some courses accept 2.2 with experience.

1. Deadline of application is December 31st, 2018

2. Candidates with minimum of 2.2 in a related discipline can apply for MSc

3. Candidates with minimum of 2.2 in their BSc and Merit i.e PhD grade in their MSc can apply for PhD.

4.Candidates may select up to 3 different courses (1st,2nd and 3rd choice) in any country or university, but are not to contact the schools directly for admissions as they will be placed in relevant universities by the PTDF. It might be best to choose three different countries

5. Candidates who successfully scale through the first round of
screening will be requested to submit their transcripts; all
applicants are therefore advised to prepare their transcripts
for submission in anticipation of such a request.

6. Uploading of admission letter in the application is not compulsory

7. In the application, PIN means your WAEC, NECO, NABTEB e.t.c registration/candiate number/examination number. You are not required to buy scratch card pin.

8. If you are doing NYSC, upload your posting letter in lieu of NYSC certificate. Last year, some guys serving won the scholarship.

and gas industry (of not more than 5 pages) to

It does not mean you must be studying oil and gas course such as Petroleum Engineering, Geology e.t.c.

I have freinds studying public health, microbiology, biology, health and safety, environmental students, chemistry, Physics that have won it.

It is about how the course you are studying will help Nigeria oil and gas industry. Google it. You should then be able to defend your point during the interview. Then, you can be successful like those in the past.

How are we supposed to get Admission letter when most school just want to take their entrance exams

Use your postgraduate application form as evidence. Upload it in the space of admission letter.

During interview stage which will be next year, however, your admission letter should be ready then.

You don't need to pay for flight. Most travel agents or guys in the Chinese embassy they do it. Just ask anyone there

A funded graduate stipend for 3 years (PhD, preferably post-MS) is available in the US.

Required background: MSc in environmental engineering, soils, microbiology, agriculture, any/all the above!

Research area is environmental (plant, soil and microbes) nanoscience.
Experience with nanomaterials, especially metals, is helpful.
