How did UNIOSUN calculate jamb and o level in last year to arrive at per cent.

There is decimal this time around not a whole number. Hence, UNIOSUN definitely did not follow JAMB recommendation.

I dont really know why people are asking us to pay 10k to policemen for this form.

The only people that can clear this issue are those that are already schooling in China with scholarship. They need to tell us if they used police clearance or not.
Below are the information I gathered from the site

(6)For applicants for X Visa (those who intends to study in China), the following documents will support your application:

□ documents of financial sponsorship

□documents about the relation between the sponsor and the applicant

□ If the sponsor is a shareholder of a company: Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Article of Association of the company,bank statement of the company and the sponsor

□ Transcripts and certificates of all schools and programs

□ Certificate of results of all examinations

□ The documents which you think might support your application

I got Chinese visa but I eventually did not go because I got a better offer.

If u won scholarship, u don't need bank statement. And I did not do police clearance.

But things might have changed now. So u need to be current now and be up to date as things are not constant. And have u got your documents from your China school? Without it, u can't apply for visa. So read up and more for current requirements.

you can also do your visa in Abuja and not only in Lagos.

y repeating same question when answers have been provided. It is frustrating for people to repeat same answers so u can't expect people to comment what they have said before. The problem is people have answered but most of u just don't want to read the previous utterances and comments in this thread.

police clearance certificate is not needed. You don't need to notarize from ministry of foreign affairs. I said use court.

Just use the documents u used for processing admission and scholarship and check the website for instruction and download the entry visa u need. Also check my previous comments and comments of other people.

When u get to China, hope u know u will still process another study visa. You also need to collect documents from your school JW201(for those who who got full scholarship from CSC) or JW202 visa sheet (for self study or partial scholarship/ province scholarship) and admission letter from your school before you can process entry visa from Nigeria.

I think you guys should just google and read. I am not even in China but Google provided answers.

Please I want to clarify an issue. I heard that each year, PTDF usually sponsors the best graduating student (OSS MSc) of the departments that PTDF are funding. (PTDF upgraded Universities like ABU, Unimaid, Unijos, UI etc).
Please does anyone here have information about it?

Please for X1 visa application, do I need to legalize my document? I only authorize my bsc certificate at Nigerian court. Do I need to take it to abuja for any authentication again including my Transcript?

Secondly, do I need to provide statement of account as I am going to China based on full scholarship

The following are the requirements that I saw online for X1 application process

Online application form print out
International passport
Student Visa (X1/X2)
Original and photocopy of Admission Letter, JW202/JW201 Form and degree certificate
Photocopy of academic records
Original and photocopy of certificate of degree
Guarantee’s bank statement with at least 6 months’ deposit records (at least 600 naira for X1 and 400 naira for X2)

since u are on scholarship, u dont need statement of account. Your academic records should also include your secondary school testimonial and waec/neco. The court certification is enough. Dont waste your money. Just use same documents u used when processing admission/scholarship.

You will need to do another medical record/certificate when u get to China. Some schools dont accept Nigeria medical. So b alert.

Bring all your credentials and look for someone who will sign bond for you in anticipation of your induction. If you don't have international passport, get one now before induction. Get your transcripts too.

well. during my msc, ptdf handled accommodation and feeding. But last year, they only provided feeding.

y are u bothered with all this na. PTDF will handle any payment. Just bring your credentials, international passport and d rest. All info will b passed during induction.

Yes o. Ptdf is less stressful and so simple with little or no financial requirements.

I have spent money writing GRE and other exams with lots of financial obligation yet rejected. It is trial and trial till one gets success.

Do you care to mention some of the schools that accept Nigerians especially the ones that accepted you, your mentee and friend? I spent over 60k applying for CSC scholarship this year and there is no reply from them so far.

Also, Pakistani also dominates erasmus_mundus scholarship. They came fourth as the country that produced most scholarship recipient.. There is no single Nigerian among.

China University of Petroleum, China University of Geosciences, Tianjin University. Google China University accepting Nigerians.

Ok. But contact PTDF o and let them know u will accept any scholarship in any school. And explain the strict admission policy of IFP.

They might think that u are only interested in top schools like IFP. Please let them know that u can go anywhere so they have no excuse.

Some people are insinuating that securing placement (by PTDF) into a university is a requirement for your name to be in the final list. There is no way that your name won’t be in that final list if you’ve been contacted.

And as for the IFP matter, only the ones in that IFP supplementary admissions list on the IFP website as posted on here will go to IFP. Simple. So if there’s only two of our guys in that list as @Ddkaka asserted earlier, then only the two of them are going. All the rest shall be sorted out into other institutions. PTDF can not arm twist IFP into giving anyone admissions simply because they (PTDF) are offering a full scholarship. After all, literally everyone from any country that gets admitted into IFP is automatically on a full scholarship mainly provided by companies like Total. This whole process is one I’ve been through in the past.

Oga pray o. Nothing is certain in life. And we are in Nigeria too and u know our country. U guys should contact PTDF o as they might not be aware that only two people made it. Tell them u are willing to go to other tuition free universities and explain IFP admission policy so they won't think it is u guys fault.

Finally, pray your name is in the list that will be published. If your name is published on the website, then u are certain of winning.

There is no need to talk as no development yet.

Just put your mind off and wait for the list of winners published on PTDF website. If u have been contacted or not contacted by PTDF, u all have probability of being successful and not being successful. Different schools and departments have their way of doing things

People with 2.2 and HND and PGD win CSC MSc Chinese Scholarship. People with MSc with MPhil or pass grade win PhD CSC scholarship. One of my freind with 2.2 is now in China having won full scholarship last year. And this year, my mentee with HND and PGD has just been nominated for CSC MSc scholarship. He has even secured provincial scholarship.

This is about meeting the minimum requirements. Having 2.2 does not mean u are lowly qualified hence selection is not based on academics only. Other things like acceptance letter from supervisor, age, authenticity of medical endorsement, Publications, CV are considered. Different schools have different criteria.

Also, most China schools consider Pakistan applicants often due to their bilateral agreement. That is y u see most CSC winners are Pakistani. Advisable to choose China schools who aren't biased and accept Nigerians.

I won the scholarship last year but did not go to create space for those in the waiting list. Go to the Nairaland China thread for more information about CSC scholarship.

This is exactly my point. Laslas, PTDF didnt promise anyone admission. They are not in control of the Universities admission board. This is one of the reasons I was skeptical about applying to Top Tier schools. With my 2.2 undergraduate degree, schools like IFP, UCL, Imperial and even Tu Munich will not even look at my application twice before deleting; plus other factors the schools consider like work experience and the rest.

Kul. I actually advised 2.2 graduates to apply to Salford, Portsmouth in UK and concentrate on China in FGC

No. PTDF didnt mislead anyone.

If you qualify for the scholarship, PTDF simply sends your details to the schools you chose. The schools now judge you based on their own admission criteria. If you qualify, fine.You get admitted. If you dont qualify, you dont get admitted.

No serious University will grant anybody admission just because of PTDF na. Haba!

This is one of the reasons I didnt choose top tier schools like University College London or Imperial College (competition for admission is very high)

However, I dont know whats gonna happen to those who got qualified but couldnt secure admission.

Laslas, I prefer the former pattern of getting your admission yourself. PTDF should have simply given us a list of schools to apply to

Certify the photocopy. Go to any court in Nigeria. It is 200 naira per page at Lagos High Court, Ikeja
