I don't know of any agent. Apply by yourself to have chance of obtaining full scholarship. Apply to all scholarships I posted in the first page of this thread. |

Please i need the gurus in the house to help with my refusal. I had a closing balance of 1.9m on the statement of account used which is also my salary account. The main principle about UK visitor visa is that you must not spend more than 2 month of your monthly disposal income. Reduce your visit to 7 days and use hostel accommodation. |

AbdulHakeem44: Quran competition according to what is apparent to me is Bid'a. It may look good but was never practiced by the prophet, as simple as that. Hmmm. It seems you dont know the principle of Bid'a. Even knowledgeable sunnatic scholars are judges in Quranic competition. Was their internet during the time of Rosul or phone. Was their loudspeaker or microphone. Were people going to Hajj with aeroplane. Dont label anything as Bida' ALLAH KNOWS BEST |

Islam › Re: Why Gashiyyah Challenge Is A Filth by DMainMan: 11:21am On Aug 23, 2019 |
Hashimyussufamao: WHY I EARLIER SAID GASHIYYAH CHALLENGE IS A FILTH
Rebus sic stantibus-----May Allah preserve Ustādh Ibrahim, our Ū'lummul Qur'an teacher, back then at An-Najah Islamic Institute, Muslim Ibadan. He enlightened us as young-brained educatees then, about tenets guiding the recitations of the holy Qur'an. As he fondly tells us; the Qur'an should never be subjected to mockery or a thing of play, comes what may - and must be recited with due proficiency------backing his assertion with many Qur'anic verses, one of which is (...وَرَتِّلِ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَرْتِيلًا ...and recite the Qur'an with measured recitation) Al-Muzzammil 73:4
But pathetic enough, what we're made to see today, is an unlike pole which repels against the rulings of recitations of the glorious book. Or will you tell me to worry less, when every Tom, Dick and Harry now turn overnight scholars, putting their mobile gadgets on video record; some with beetle-browed faces and unpleasing voices, reciting and miscrossing all T(s) and titling all (I)s in a very bad, degrading and derogatory manner in contrary to the sanctity of the glorious book. And in guise of finding an excuse, they claim they meant good and were just catching fun with it. And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" At-Taubah 9:65
From the filth, females are not excluded either. So saddening! I've seen many of them record themselves and one another in Hijab, perturbing our ears with their charming voices, FITNAH! Even when the Islam has forbade women from such, to the extent that, even, should the Imām make a mistake while on the Solāt, they should only clap as it is unexpected of them to utter words which might lead to fitnah as a result of their charming voices. In lieu with this, Ibn Uthaymeen (Rahimahū Llahu Ta'alā) opined: "My opinion is that it is haraam, for women’s voices to be heard by men who sit and listen to them and enjoy hearing their voices." (al-Liqa’ al-Shahri. 55/question no. 14)
It's okay if your mind still remains rigid, but as you peruse this piece, be sincere to your own conscience, out of all the 'kuli cats' and 'rufi rats' you've been watching from the challenge, how many of these people truly read these verses in lieu with the rules governing the recitations of the holy book. How many? Now, let me feed your ears with a more ridiculous part. Yesternight, a friend of mine participated in the challenge and uploaded his own made version of the video on his WhatsApp status, if I tell you the depth at which he went, maybe you'll dance to my tune a little about reasons this challenge to me, is unworthy. The young man read the holy Quran with only trousers on his body, he read the Qur'an with his chest/abdomen left opened, Waloi thumā biLlah. I wouldn't mention his name but I hope he'll read this article as usual. Could you imagine how heart-breaking that was? Will you ever see such in a modest Qur'anic competition? Is that one of the messages Gashiyyah challenge and its initiators stretches to us? Reading the Qur'an with your awrāh left opened. Quite unfortunate.
To 'KISS' this, the aforementioned and many others are why I against and will never align with the Gashiyyah challenge------and bear in mind, it is okay if you tell me the intention behind it is good. Well, the same way the intention behind Halua, Protest, Maulud are also good, but the wrenght, lapses and flubs that comes with it and its end result will continue to render it nullified, now and ever------hence, it's just a talk of half dozen and six, no difference!
Conclusively, I said, say, still saying and will forever say Gashiyyah challenge is unworthy-------lest the aforementioned faults are no more its attributes. Wa Llahu A'lam.
Pls, feel free to bring contrary opinions in the comments section, let's rub minds more, base on concrete evidences albeit, and not just ordinary talks. And Allah knows better.

Not that I am in anyway in support of bid'ah but you don't have such right to label it 'Filth'. Yes. That is my point. We tend to focus on irrelevant things. Things like fornication and gambling which is prevalent, we tend not to preach about it. THEY ARE AMONG THE GREATEST SINS |

aliyuthayo: Islami is a religion that follows the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet, so therefore whatever we are doing should have a base in the Sunnah and the Quran.
No-one can add or subtract or innovate any idea on his/her own. Propagation of Islam should be halal and must be supported by both the Quran and the Sunnah. Is Quranic competition haram or halal? |
Islam › Re: Why Gashiyyah Challenge Is A Filth by DMainMan: 11:07am On Aug 23, 2019 |
We should be careful before we judge. Actions are judged according to intention.
What if the organisers did it to motivate people to read the Quran as it never too late to learn Quran.
The winners are being being rewarded. This could help them in their daily affairs and their family members. Is Quranic competition haram? Remember this is another form of Quranic competition. The only difference is this is online. Is Quranic competition haram?
You have a point has some people are joking with it yet some people are serious with it motivating their children and peers to learn the Quran. Many non-muslims were interested in knowing the Quran and Islam.
Any good thing you do in life, some people see it as joke. Some people joke with Salah and Fasting. Should we now stop Fasting and Salah because people are joking with it.
We should always see point of view of others in two ways. Don't let people view us as extremist. There are many important issues we should be discussing instead of this. |

Apply for student visa, marry in the UK and then apply for a spousal visa Note that with marriage visitor visa, you can only use it to marry in the UK, You cant extend your visa or switch. You will still need to go back to Nigeria and apply for spousal visa for settlement. Choose any option that is most convenient for you depending on your circumstance. You must prove that:
any previous marriages or civil partnerships have ended you plan to marry or become civil partners within 6 months of arriving in the UK
You will not be able to work during your engagement.

She said that fiancé visa allows me to get married in the UK and then apply for spouse visa in the UK. Or I should apply for marriage visa. Than for me and my wife to go to Nigeria. We are considering cost of flight fare and my wife job. She works as agency health care. If no work no pay. Please what do you think of this suggestion? There is nothing like fiance visa. It is spousal visa. You cannot apply for spousal visa with marriage visitor visa. Another option to do is for you to apply as a student and get Tier 4 General student visa. With the Tier 4 visa, you can marry in the UK and apply for spousal visa. Good luck. |

LuvlyIva: Hello good people of nairaland . I am new to this forum, it is through search to my problem I got this forum. I and my wife is confused and in big dilemma right now. We need advice and suggestions what we can do to solve the problem we are in right now. We never knew that this problem will come up like this and never knew that my wife will get idenfite leave this soonest. We lost hope on it. lawyers are charging us alot to solve the problem. (£1400)My wife is based in the UK. In 2013 she came to Nigeria we got married in court and did small traditional marriage .Then my wife spent three weeks bf she left UK and promise to fille spouse visa for me but my wife was refused indenfite leave two times in 2015&2017. I got frustrated staying alone ,so my family was contemplating calling off the marriage bc they need grand kids and me too need to settle down. I was also refused visiting visa twice bf I got married. So I re-applied again for visiting visa this May 2019 through an agent and the agent advice that I put single in the application instead of married. The reason the agent put single is that he said that home office will denied my visa application if I write that my wife stays in the UK and homeoffice will refuse it bc they might think I will not like to come bk again. So I agree to what the agent said, we put single. I got the visiting visa and travel around June. And also I and my wife deceided that I will not come bk bc my wife av been trying to conceive. My wife put in for her papers again, To the glory of God my wife was given Indenfite leave just yesterday .But the problem now is that i wrote I was single in my visiting visa application. Please house can my wife still apply for spouse visa for me using our previous court marriage certificate? Will the visa be denied bc of saying I was single in my visiting visa application? If my wife explain to ECO in cover letter will they give me spouse visa? Should I come back to Nigeria and apply for marriage visa, so that we can remarry again in the UK and then I go bk to Nigeria and the spouse visa will be filled? We spoke to my wife lawyer she said we can apply for spouse visa but need to explain all in cover letter to ECO why I decided to put single in my visiting visa application. Please I need suggestions and advise from the house. I and my wife are in serious dilemma. Please I will appreciate advice to this situation or suggestions on what can be done. Or is there any body that have lied in visa application and apologize and got visa? I really need to be with my wife so that we can start making babes. Thanks you. This is what you should do. Since you said you are single. What you should is to marry. You and your wife should come back to Nigeria and marry. Then you can now apply for spousal visa. Ensure you have proof of relationship and that your relationship is subsisting. Whatsapp communication, facebook, proof of sending money, proof of hotel bookings together, proof of travelling together, pictures before marriage, pictures after marriage and so. Add your marriage certificate and wedding pictures too. Then thereafter, apply for priority spousal visa for fast decision. In the UK website: You must be able to prove one of the following for spousal visa: you’re in a civil partnership or marriage that’s recognised in the UK you’ve been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years when you apply you are a fiancé, fiancée or proposed civil partner and will marry or enter into a civil partnership in the UK within 6 months of arriving You also need to prove you: have a good knowledge of English can financially support yourself and your dependants Check these links to help you: https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/partner-spousehttps://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/knowledge-of-englishhttps://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/proof-income |

I stated I will stay for three weeks. I have stayed one month now. I am contemplating leaving soonest to Nigeria. I am not overstaying again, not an easy life overstaying in UK. Just that my wife keep saying that when we have kids I will get papers quickly but I wish to stay legal now. I have to leave to get soln quick to join her . Your wife might be right. Saw this on UK visa website: If you do not meet these requirements you may still be able to apply for a visa or extend your permission to stay if: you have a child in the UK who is a British citizen or has lived in the UK for 7 years and it would be unreasonable for them to leave the UK there would be very significant difficulties for you and your partner if you lived together as a couple outside the UK that could not be overcome it would breach your human rights to stop you coming to the UK or make you leave https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/partner-spouseHowever, I advise you to come back home, marry and apply for spouse visa |

This are the documents have got:
.Bank statement with a closing balance of 1.7M .Employment letter .Letter of intro by the company/Employer .6months payslips of #200k .Leave request form( 20 days leave) .Private bussiness registration (CAC) .Tax clearance certificate .Private bussiness invoice (to explain inflow of cash in my account apart from monthly salary) .Cover letter on my bussiness letter headed paper .Marriage certificate .Marriage and family pictures .Birth cert of my kid .Wife consent letter .Land agreement document .Pix of my property (just my house)
I use my salary account to run my bussiness, i don't have an account with my bussiness name.. no unnecessary logdment though, except credit of 4.4M deposited in my account by a customer around February which was push out immediately on a bussiness purpose...other deposits from then has been 400k and below for bussiness transactions (apart from Salary). i started maintaining 700k and above in my account frm March and it increases with time till July. There has been constant bussiness transactions on the account every month (Closing balance of 1.7M).
This is my first time though, i intend to spend 12 days. Please what other documents do i have to tender and pls shed more lights on where i need correction before i proceed. God bless. State that you are responsible for feeding. Account for it through your bank statement. Collect your uncle tenancy agreement and utility bill. This will serve as proof of accommodation in the UK that your uncle will provide u accommodation. Your uncle should also state explicitly inhis letter of invitation that he is responsible for your accommodation and he will accommodate you. If your uncle does not goive u his tenancy agreement and utility bill, then you need to book hotel as proof of accommodation. You can use booking.com so u can get refund. |

wondychiqe: Good afternoon my fellow nairalanders. please, I got admission into king's college to study mental health nursing for September 2019. The fees are quite much; about 28,000 pounds (12million naira) but now the issue is: a) I am married with a baby and my father is the sponsor. We (family of 3)all want to go together so please whose account should tuition and maintenance fee be cos I have convinced my dad that it should be mine since I am the primary applicant but he is saying that the source and my account history will be questioned. So he wants it to be his. b) The cost of me going first means that about 16million has to be in the account- 12 million naira for school fees and 4 million naira for maintenance which is quite easy to get but if it is I, my hub star and lovely baby going, it is about 30 million. I am thinking I go first, then use the same money I used to show my 28 days evidence to apply for them cos 30million naira is quite a lot. if I go first, Do I still need to show my school fees and maintenance money alongside their maintenance fee when applying for them or just show their maintenance fee. c) when do I do TB test? can it be done ahead? d) This ATAS certificate, I no understand am o thank you 1. Your dad can only use his bank account to sponsor you only. He should also write a letter to confirm it. But if you want to bring your wife and baby with you, you will need to put all the money in your account. Better u go first then apply for Tier 4 dependant visa for u and your baby. Read on the website on the visa requirement of Tier 4 dependant visa and Tier 4. You need to know the maintenance fee requirement. You need to know that u will pay surcharge. So read up to have an understaanding. 2. TB test expires within 6 months of doing it. You can do it now if u want but be sure u wanna go to the school. 3. Google ATAS certificate to know about it. Ask your school if you will need one. It will be stated in your offer letter to apply for ATAS certificate if you need one. 4. Your tuition fee is 28900 pounds per year for masters. Note that it is for two years which costs 57800 pounds in total. There are also other costs u will need. Housing in London is very expensive and u will need to live in a flat as you have a wife and a baby. Just want you to be ready for the financial commitments. https://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/taught-courses/nursing-with-registration-as-a-mental-health-nurse5. If the costs is too much for you, why not find alternative MSc degree? Why not choose school outside London as living expenses and accommodation outside london is cheap as a family. Only if you have a great and impactful reason that will certainly define your future should you commit your money to the Kings College course. Staying permanently after studies in the UK is very hard. Just wanted you to know to make an informed decision.Alternative courses: 1. Sheffield Hallam university: 30,000 pounds for the 2 years study. Location: Sheffield Duration: 2 years https://www.shu.ac.uk/courses/nursing-and-midwifery/msc-nursing-mental-health/full-timeScholarship opportunity: https://www.shu.ac.uk/international/fees-scholarships-and-discounts/scholarships-discounts-and-bursaries/frequently-asked-questions2. University of the West Scotland (Pre-registration): https://www.uws.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/postgraduate-course-search/mental-health-nursing/#!#fees-funding. Location: Scotland £14,000 per year of study. Duration: 2 years 3. University of Greenwich located i. £14,500. Duration: 2 years. jeito1: Good Morning gurus in the house
I am applying for a Tier 2 Dependent Visa and i urgently need the following information
1. Do i upload my wedding pics on TLS Contact or send them to Sheffield?
2. If i am to upload on TLS, can anyone be kind enough to tell me how to go about it?
3. In the area of communication, am I expected to tender Skype chat, WhatsApp or text messages? If it is WhatsApp, should i screenshot the chats or export same?
5. Should i screenshot my call log or approach my network provider?
6. My first and middle name was interchanged on my marriage certificate making it different from the arrangement on my passport. Is this going pose any challenge on my application?
@Justwise @Tier 4 Dependents @Tier 2 Dependents @Spousal Visa applicants
I urgently need your help on the above. a. Spousal or Family visa is different from dependant visa. For spousal visa, you need to send to Sheffield and write test with the aim to settle permanently. But for dependant visa, you dont need any test since u just want to be with your husband temporarily as he is not a permanent resident. Just upload all the documents and evidence during your visa application. You dont need to send to Sheffield. b. Just follow the procedure stated. c. You can screen grab or send as email message your calls, chats, logs on Facebook, phone text, instagram, whatsapp or any platform you use to communicate with your spouse. You can also use hotel bookings with your wife, picnics, flight journey bookings with your wife and any proof of sending money to your spouse as evidence of communication d. Do affidavit |
