if u av 2.1. Some scholarships are meant for only first class but dat doesnt stop u from not applying. U wil eventually get wen u persistently apply as u are eligible for most scholarships.

if u av 2.2. u are eligible to apply for nddc scholarship and ptdf, if u av relevant oil and gas experience. Since most MSc scholarships are for 2.1 and first class. U can actually boost yourself by having a good masters degree for PHD or anoda MSc scholarship.

PTDF GEOSCIENCES TRAINING PROGRAMME (GTP)

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is the Federal Government’s Agency mandated to build capacities in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. The Fund has over the years developed and implemented several programmes to meet identified human resource requirements to enhance the active participation of Nigerians in the industry.

In furtherance of the attainment of its mandate, the Fund wishes to commence the Geosciences Training Programme (GTP) designed to increase local capacities for geosciences knowledge, application and analytical skills in the oil and gas industry. This initiative entails the training of Nigerian graduates of geology or geosciences at the Laser Petroleum Geosciences Centre in Port Harcourt for effective participation in the industry’s upstream sector activities to enhance Nigerian Content Development. The GTP is of 5 months duration.

Further to the above, the Fund hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who meet the following requirements:

A minimum of first degree in geology and geosciences ONLY

A minimum of second class lower degree

Must have completed the National Youth service Corps (NYSC)

Must not be above 30 years of age

Must be computer literate

Must be available to undertake a 6 months Post Training Attachment Programme

Must attach all credentials/documents while submitting application

Candidates are to note that only those who meet the requirements would be short listed and invited for the training programme.

Chevening Scholarships in Nigeria are awarded to outstanding emerging leaders to pursue a one-year Master’s at any UK university. The scholarship programme provides a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture, and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:

Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended
Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a post-graduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK.

I am on the verge of applying for a visa which means I need to present my bank statement. However, people have been saying the embassy will bounce any application when they review the bank statement and realize that there was a sudden influx of cash within the period (28 days) of application. I need counsel from guys that left last year and applied to Cranfield University or any school where they were required to present a bank statement.

GUY. Since u ar on scholarship, u dont need bank statement. Scholarship award letter showing your course of study, session and amount of award for living expenses and accommodation is what u need. Your Tb cert should also b Student with Scholarship. gud luck
