Abroad. I mean schools in Uk, Germany, Canada and US as you will be exposed to lots of practical. You will also acquire skills and knowledge presently needed in the industry to excel.

This is unlike most Nigeria schools who still uses 1990's syllabuses which are of no use in the industry. That is why most companies prefer foreign trained student because they don't want to waste their money on training in this hard time. I don't blame them.

But Nigeria education system is quite good than some European schools because most PTDF scholars if not all passed out with Merit and Distinction.

When I say PTDF scholars, I mean those who wrote the aptitude test and passed. There is another set of PTDF scholars through backdoors ( staff list and politicians) and NYSC award. They are the ones getting poor result spoiling Nigeria image.

But don't be scared. The aptitude test list is based on merit. No ojoro at all. Pray you are among the best in your state. It was best six to seven in oil producing state and best four in non producing state in my time.

With this issue of rating, Hope sey UI, UNIBEN and FUTO no better pass those schools like Coventry, Salford, Teeside, Napier Edinburgh University, Robert Gordon etc

They will probably accept it but u might be refused now that things as changed. Why not apply to other schools to be on the safer side.

With BSc Geology, U can apply to University of Salford's MSc Petroleum and Gas Engineering and you can get admission within 3 days.

They also accept 2.2 applicants. If you have 2.1, University of Salford gives instant scholarship up to 4,000 pounds. And another 1,000 pounds because you are a Nigerian.

The school fees meets Nddc valuation

If so try University of Salford, Coventry university and University of Derby. You should get admission within 3 days.

They also accept 2.2 applicants. If you have 2.1, University of Salford gives instant scholarship up to 4,000 pounds. And another 1,000 pounds because you are a Nigerian. So 5,000 pounds saved. But bear in mind the schools are cheap because they are lowly rated.

Except you are rich, u can apply to top schools but you will need to pay additional money because 30,000 dollars might not even be enough for your school fees talkless of living expenses and accommodation. So choose wisely.

But if PTDF, apply to only top schools as your school fees and other expenses will be paid irrespective of the amount. So maximize fully the opportunity.

of course but apply to only very cheap schools unless u have money to go for the best. I don't really know about US schools

Yeah, u can be considered for admission of course. Put in your voters card there. The 3 universities I mentioned also accept C6 in English and their school fees meets NDDC allowance specification.

Unlike PTDF, it is not advisable to apply for top schools with huge fees unless you have additional money because nddc allowance is only 30,000 dollars including living expenses. PTDF covers any school fees so you can apply to top universities like Imperial, Manchester, Cambridge, Oxford etc with expensive fees.

Though that Chinese scholarship he posted has expired, but Chinese Scholarship (MOFCOM) is still on. It includes free tuition, accommodation and monthly earnings.

Dmainman pls keep up this good work. The India scholarship interview that ur friend attended, is it for this year, whose application closed January 15, 2016. Or for last year? As I have a friend who applied for this year scholarship, he submitted all the necessary docs but yet to be invited for the interview.

Advice

Endeavour to apply to these scholarships if you are unemployed or underemployed especially 2.1 or first class students who mostly meet
the requirement. It is quite beneficial as almost all are full scholarships. You will be paid handsomely by the government monthly, given free accommodation in the best of places, free flight, security and many more.

I am sure most of you want US, UK or Canada Scholarships which isn't easy to get. Do not waste your time. This is an opportunity to explore and give back to your guardians and parents who has been there for you. Even professional footballers are now going to these Asia countries to make more money so why cant you leave your comfort zone.

I am worried because many unemployed youths are ignoring these scholarships waiting for jobs that are not available instead of adding skills and knowledge. In the last India Postgraduate scholarship, the available slot for Nigeria was not filled as only 18 people attended interview. My friend was so happy as his scholarship is guaranteed. Hope Nigeria slots wont be reduced next year.

thanks bro...from my observation again ptdf earlier questions for part 111 is collective...I all petroleum related courses and chemical answer the same but for 2007 it was separated into individual depts...now i culd not source for part 3 questions beyond that 2007.....for 2010 and 2013 can u help me with hw it looked liked...was process engineering separate like 2007 and if possible samples of the questions?.tnks for ur kindness.
