That will depend on how old you are... You know you stop adding height when you get to a certain age...

dammytosh: i like the charm that comes with my personality.

Hate me 1,000,000 times before meeting me.

You need less than 5minutes to decide not to leave forever.
Wow.. I think that's awesome.

On my part, I think sometimes some people have some reasons to shy away from me after meeting, but I bet you, it's either out of jealousy or envy...

Yeah... No one is perfect. We are only striving towards perfection, and as such we make mistakes every now and then...

k2039: I absolutely agree with this.

Wok on is another epistle on it's own, lol.

Work on sounds better, more like having her best interest at hand while change sounds selfish.
That's correct!

k2039: I understand where you are driving at and I quite agree with you, I thought about that too though before posting my comment.

But, basically if I do find a girl I like, If I have to change her to become who I want then she still doesnt deserve to be with me, I must have sized you up on a scale, if I have issues she needs to change, am I saying if she doesnt change I will sack her or terminate I appointment.

Basically it shouldnt be about changing that person, because a provision must always be made for 'what if they dont change', meaning it must be something I can forgo.

All in all, this is where a principled centered girl will be my preference, all you need do is show her reason why she will change and she will change provided it's a tangible reason.

I agree with your post quite alright, but if people go into relationship without the set mind of changing their partner we will have less frustrations in relationship(Their should be a provision for change though, but it shouldnt be a priority).
True!!! One shouldn't always be mindful of changing changing and changing the other. Cause it would mean, you never appreciate the person. I wouldn't even use the word change, but rather, work on. That way, it seems more like ameliorating the present status rather than changing.
Romance › Re: Y Do We Make Other People Suffer For Our Heartbreaks by dmcdad: 6:29am On Dec 18, 2012
This is no small issue cause it's one of the reasons why so many relationships fail today... Not letting go.

If you are heartbroken, the best thing that should be done is to stay away from relationships for a considerable number of time. Don't listen to people who tell you that the best way to heal a broken heart is to fall in love again. Fallacy! You will surely fall in love again, but doing that just before you can get over the heartbreak is very dangerous and will not be healthy to the new relationship. If you allow yourself sometime after an heartbreak, and you are able to get over it, it makes you stronger and gives you an edge in the future as you must have reflected upon your experience and devise a better way of going about things.

There are two major negative outcomes after heartbreak:

Firstly, there are certain people that tend to kill future relationships they have because of a failed one or rather heart break. I think people are different, and as such, every individual should be treated according to their own personality, and not by mere generalization. The fact that your last relationship failed because your boyfriend did something similar to what your present guy is doing is not a yardstick that it will fail. We need to learn how to let go and move on with life. If you are in a new relationship, give it your all and make sure you work your patch completely so as to avoid making it a failure because of your nonchalant attitude or contribution towards the relationship.. If you avoid transferring aggression from a failed relationship to a new one or always comparing your present love to an ex, I think it would really help in making your present relationship a success (that is coupled with a lot of other good efforts).

Secondly, some others just want to make someone else pay for what he or she suffered. If what you suffer is not pleasant, why would you want to make some other person pass through such? I've seen guyz that were heartbroken, who decided to smash the heart of every lady that gets in their way. i have seen gurlz who have been heartbroken by guyz and decided to ruin other people's lives with every gruesome way they can. It might even beat your imagination to note that, I have seen someone that got HIV via a guy (probably unknown to the guy), who decided to share her punny magnanimously to just any guy that is ready for a punny. This same gurl convinces her preys not to use any form of protection to make it more sensual (and you know guyz na, when e don dey body na carry go be that). Is that not sheer wickednesshuh

Please people, we need to learn how to let go. I think if one does have a good and forgiving heart, revenge would not always be an option.. If you have been heartbroken for any reason, try to let it heal and make sure you don't take it out on other people. It ain't fair.
Romance › Re: How Do I Make This Relationship Work? by dmcdad: 5:45am On Dec 18, 2012
It seems you are at a cross road at this juncture. What I would propose is that, since you know what he really wants, and you ain't ready to give it to him, you quit pronto! Don't even think you can talk him out of it.

Buh, you really need to quest for what you really want outta the relationship.. If you feel you can't really be without him (personally I don't think there is anyone you can't be without but God), then you can give him what he wants, but then, what makes you think if he gets what he wants he would take you any serious? If you ain't ready to give in, and you are having trouble getting over the thought of him, then I think you should always regale yourself of the reason you have to forget about him for good, considering the fact that he doesn't want he only wants your punny (as perceived by you) and nothing more...

Bottom line is... I guess you should have known him hook, line and sinker(or at least to a reasonable extent) at this point in time, and as such I suggest you spell out the pros and cons of being with him and vice-versa, while taking cognizance of the aftermath for whatever decision you make. After your evaluation, what you should do should be very clear to you.

Goodluck to you.
Romance › Re: If U Could Change Something About Ur Babe What Ll It Be by dmcdad: 5:27am On Dec 18, 2012
k2039: If it was an issue, then she doesnt deserve to be with me, what that means is that inspite of her imperfection she is perfect.
Helping someone change in certain areas doesn't mean the person is not appreciated or something... The thing is, you appreciate a person's imperfection as it were, yet you help the person to grow and become perfect (even though we know no one can be perfect). If your gurlfriend were to be a LovePeddler, would you leave it at that just because you wanna appreciate her imperfection? Nope! I guess not. But you'd wanna help her become a person, not to condemn her.

I feel, one of the salient reasons we go into relationships is the fact that we wanna build each other and make each other better in all ramifications (even though what people care about in relationships today is sex, without taking into account that it's a period to help each other grow intellectually, spiritually, educationally, morally, ethically and so on.....). In going into a relationship or marriage, you appreciate the person's virtues and try to live with the person's vices. That doesn't mean one shouldn't help the person in getting over it's vices so as to become a person.

Wouldn't you agree?

@Op, me and you mah know say e no go work. Why you wan give yourself unnecessary trouble? This has been defined from the outset and what makes you think the transition from no string attached to emotion flaring would workhuh

Abeg, if you want to be in a real relationship, look for another guy else, this would just be a phantasmagoria.

Romance › Re: How do I help by dmcdad:
Well... I dont think there is something left for you to do to make your friend see reasons as to why there is need for her to stop going out with her low-life fractious bottom-a*ss nigga... There is one thing I believe in, A WORD IS ENOUGH, FOR THE WISE.. The ugly truth on this issue is that, the more you try to make sure she gets outta this mess, the more immersed she would be. You wanna know why? Because she is blinded and that's why she acts inexorably.

Please! Please!! Please!!! In Nigeria there is an adage which states that; a fly that is stubborn and adamant to listen, follows the corpse to the grave. You know what? Leave her alone. I think you have done more than what a friend could do to help salvage the situation with your friendly pieces of advice. I know you are trying to save her head considering the fact that you are well aware that this ain't gonna end well, and as such, there is need to give it all you've got. But, you still have to remember that, you can only force the horse to go to the river, but not to drink the water. I'd say you let her be with her decisions cause from what you made known to us, you have tried your best as a friend (and even more than a friend; a sister)...

Let nature take it's course. When the right time comes, she would face the aftermath of her actions, and after that, if she chose to do anything suicidal, let her do it and answer for it...

Romance › Re: Using Ur BF/GF Tooth Brush. by dmcdad: 4:16am On Dec 18, 2012
I dont really see the need for this.... Personally, I seldom share certain things with people. I don't think this is the yardstick for knowing someone that loves you. Some people are too sensitive to such, while others ain't, so you can tell if someone does love you or not just because the the person is able to use your toothbrush or vice-versa. Me? I can't!

Toothbrush, Towel, Sponge, etcetera...

Family › Re: 11-yr-Old Girl Gets Pregnant For Five Boys by dmcdad: 1:39am On Dec 17, 2012
Nigeriannews: IT was a shocking story to the parents and neighbours of an 11 year old girl and pupil of Ikorenim Primary School in Calabar, Cross River State, Ekamen Asuquo, when a pregnancy test that was conducted on her at the General Hospital, Calabar revealed that she was carrying a four-month pregnancy.

The mother of the primary five pupil, who resides at 2, Pipeline Road, Ikorenim had suspected pregnancy, going by the symptoms exhibited by the teenage girl, who was sick for a while as she decided to take her to the hospital after she failed to get well, despite long period of self medication.

The mother was rattled when it was discovered that the girl was pregnant after some tests.

A neighbour, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said “She has been at home for the past two months always complaining of one ailment or the other and the mother had to take her to the General Hospital after home medication could not heal her in the hope that she could be treated there.”

The neighbour, said when the teenage girl was confronted by her mother, who allegedly sells hot drinks and illicit drugs over who was responsible for the pregnancy, she mentioned one Tony, one of the boys that patronises her mother’s hot drinking joint.

However, the source hinted that when Tony was confronted, he said “He was the one who dated the teenage girl first but another customer, Jones snatched her from him and when Jones was confronted, he said he had since stopped dating the girl and mentioned another person, who when also confronted, mentioned another boy and at the last count, the number was five.”

It was gathered that the mother was infuriated when her daughter confirmed that she slept with all the boys mentioned and could not actually tell who was responsible. It was also gathered that two of the boys mentioned were tenants living in the woman’s house.

Out of annoyance, “She has since asked the two young men living in her house to quit but they are asking for time to secure another accommodation before they can vacate the house.”

When the distraught mother was asked what she was going to do with the daughter’s predicament, tears rolled down her cheek, as she said “I leave everything to God.
Ehya... sad

Popowaa: Have u ever dated a possesive person? They tend to be de most caring n super wonderful people but can be de very jealous, controlling n abusive people n de most annoying part is when they act out as if u were their personal property.I've lost a job because of a possesive guy all because he thought i wasn't having "enough" time for him n also dat i wasn't asking him for money anymore. share ur experience?
Were u retrenched or something? Cuz saying that you lost a job sounded like u were sacked. I guess what you meant was that you resigned. Anywayz, if resignation was the case, it shows you are a juvenile and as such, don't know much about life. It would also prove u didn't know what you wanted or rather didn't know how to prioritize things..

Anywayz, @topic, havent come across such a person..
