Remember 4 persons tweeting in a room? You guys never learn
PDPdestroyer: I really hope he does, that will be the easiest win ever recorded by a sitting President. Tinubu go use am wipe floor like rag, a second time. Only a direct confrontation between Tinubu and Atiku can upset Tinubu, Obi is a boy
Atiku's support for Obi is conditional on if the new party nominates Obi. He also cited how he won the PDP ticket after an open contest.
Atiku did not say "if the new party zones the ticket to the southeast".
Atiku invariably wants Obi to join the alliance. Atiku did not say he would let Obi win the nomination. If Obi loses the nomination, he'd lose face and must support Atiku. If he leaves to another party after realizing the game, it would be too late.
Instead of forming a new party, let the opposition elements rally round Peter Obi in Labour Party.
If Tinubu does not move that construction to SS by 2027, he cannot hoodwink the SS people with that project.
Truth is he wont be able to move it beyond Ogun in 15yrs
muykem: Peter Obi and his brothers have not hide their opposition to Calabar-Lagos coastal highway project. This is despite unquantifiable benefits this singular project hold for people of South South it will open up many cities and improve economy activities along the coastal line. This kind of gigantic project cannot be completed in 4years so people of South south will need to determine how important this project is to them by their votes in 2027.
He supported Obi before the election esp because of the mumu ticket
Richtaiwo: Babachir Lawal, the new found love of ipob miscreants. Nigeria did not collapse when hundreds of millions was used to cut grass. Bloody criminal, go join ur elu p in peace and stop talking nonsense
LegendHero: Obong of Calabar made the right call. FG should hasten the construction and if it takes contracting it out to many contractors to make it faster, they should do that.
God bless the South South God bless the South West God bless Nigeria.
The European countries you call 'small' are beneficiaries of a global financial system which favours them more than it can ever favour Africa.
Do you know that to access development finance from the World Bank, a European country does so at 3% interest, while for African countries it's up to 20% or more?
In addition to that, they will give you all kinds of conditions they don't give EUROPEAN countries.
The so-called 'small countries of Europe' are also beneficiaries of USA military protection and NATO.
So the skewed international financial system of which they benefit from is protected by US military power.
Switzerland is a ''small country'' whose 'Swiss banks' store TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS in looted funds from all over the world.
They are the most corrupt nation on Earth, Switzerland.
But you will never see them on any list of corrupt nations.
But they are on God's list.
They have a tiny army that one Nigerian battalion can wipe out.
But DARE WE INVADE THEM to demand our money?
NAH....
The have NATO protection.
So your small African countries are NOT in the same boat as 'small' European countries.
YOU need to CONSOLIDATE and leverage your collective power to form a strong bloc.
The ONE THING that scares the hell out of the rest of the world is a SINGLE AFRICAN NATION with ONE federal government.
Trade ptices and fair trade can be negotiated. Such regional cooperation should be done be organisations like Ecowas, AU etc but the more complex and big a country is, the less agile and more sluggish they are because to take important decisions, consensus has to be built.
Look at European countries, they're are very samll and successful.
France is able to manipulate these African countries because their leaders are corrupt. Any sovereign country can decide who comes within its borders.
We should even split Nigeria to atleast five countries
jazzman7711: It’s time for a UNITED STATES OF AFRICA.
A USA 2.0.
All this means is that we retain the current 54 nations, but they will simply convert to being states.
Alternatively we can have just North Africa as one country and the rest of Africa one country.
Or we can split it into 3 or 4 countries ie East Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa and North Africa.
There are NUMEROUS benefits of this arrangement.
We can have a single African policy on all sorts of issues, from the price we charge for our minerals, to the conditions we set for their exploitation.
We can have a single powerful CURRENCY that will not be tied to the dollar or any foreign currency.
We can have a single, very powerful African military.
Or in the case of a 3 or 4 nation Africa, 3 or 4 powerful militaries that can hold their own against any on Earth.
We can mobilise enough resources to do things which appear beyond us today, such as landing on the moon. Something India has done.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, INTRA-AFRICAN TRADE will be hugely increased, as all barriers to travel and settlement will be removed.
What we need to decide is how the central leadership will be operated.
Will it be a democracy like India?
Or something more like the One party dictatorship of China?
Personally I favour the Chinese system of govt.
It’s more effective.
President Museveni of Uganda has been discussing UNIFICATION with his fellow presidents in East Africa. They are talking about forming a single East African nation.
A short while ago, you guys said Okorocha. then Soludo and now Umahi?
Looool
Richtaiwo: Dave Umahi is the only South Easterner that can get the support of Nigerians for presidency. His performance as a governor and as a minister speak for him. I don’t understand why a man whose only legacy after 8 years is beer factory suddenly become a messiah to some people. Even the factory is now next to nothing.
The corporate entity should be sued, not the staff. He is not the CEO
Krankhead: You should cover your face in Shane. Bail is not automatic. All factors are considered carefully. The guy is not a Nigerian citizen, so he is a flight ridk.Thats how its done in western world. You will realise for example a murderer will be granted bail in America because he is a citizen but a shop lifter may not be granted because he is not a citizen for been a flight risk . He may disappear. That's one of the reasons Ekweremadu was not granted bail despite his political figure in Nigeria. Had it been Ekweremadu was citizen he would have been granted Bail. So stop castigated your country all rhe Time.
You're not too sound to discuss issues like this so run along
AnambraPikinSel: Obi can never rule any free born like me and many Nigerians, let him go and rule his osu people wherever he can find them, Nigerians are not osus
We're ready to work with a lesser evil to destroy the devil.
If Obi will not lead the coalition, let APC continue
emkz: Obi is romancing the structure of criminality. You want him to dismantle the structure of criminality and also want him to lead the coalition of the structures of criminality.
We're ready for APC to continue for 60yrs if Obi will not be the presidential candidate of any coalition.
We cannot have the structures of criminality under any form leading a coalition with Obi.
We need Obi to dismantle that structure of criminality
emkz: This is not how to engage in political negotiations.
Peter Obi does not command the majority of the opposition, Atiku does. Instead of beating your chest and issuing threats, you call, you beg, you negotiate, but never impose.
If Atiku had teamed up with Kwankwaso in the last election, Tinubu would not have been president or the margin of victory would have been thin.
Obi cannot be president alone. Instead of boasting that he must lead the coalition, read the room properly.
The north reads that an Obi would want to do two terms which would mean that power stays in the south for 12 years. They still think the south owes the north 4 years which former president Jonathan took from them when Yar'adua died.
All these permutations would come to play on the negotiation table.
Please don't ever approach political negotiations from a point of naivety. That was what killed Obi's and Atiku's chances.
