You pretended not to be aware when INEC refused to grant them election materials until they had to go to court. At a point it seems they won't make it because INEC refused to handover BVAS for inspection N3TRAL: The just concluded general elections have exposed the ignorance of "exposed" Nigerians regarding the organisation of society.
The law abhors vacuum. The constitution prohibits a leadership lacuna.
The position of the law is that a candidate who is declared elected by INEC is constitutionally qualified to occupy the office he was elected into until a court of competent jurisdiction declares otherwise.
The timeline set by the law for determination of election petition by the election tribunal is 180 days from the date of filing the petition.
The court has to carefully scrutinize the prayers of the parties and avoid reaching a decision per incuriam . The Labour Party, the PDP and their candidates filed their respective petitions on the last day of the 21 days stipulated by law to avoid mistakes. They made use of their complete 21 days to avoid rush and to present well researched and compelling arguments.
The Tribunal is obliged to deliver judgment after it carefully exhausts its 180 days to avoid error. Don't pressure the court! |

Things have changed but you guys don't appreciate it. The results on IREV, inspite of the rigging shows Tinubu did not win. When the case starts, you'll start seeing evidence garfield1: The electoral act assumes that once elections are held, they are regular, free and fair to a large extent and that whoever has issues or complaints must prove it substantially.what is substantial noncompliance? According to the apex court, one must firstly prove that an election was massively fraught with irregularities in a widespread manner and secondly the petitioner must prove that he would have won or they would have been a different outcome if there was no infractions.for instance, obi must at least bring evidence voiding or affecting 2.7 mil votes, the exact margin tunubu is gapping him.proving that he won rivers and benue do not meet substantial noncompliance... Again, bringing online data of votes will take him no where.he must prove his case polling unit by polling unit and physically.he must present polling unit result sheets one at a time and bring at least one voter or agent from disputed polling units and he must demonstrate this in open court. Simply claiming that there was overvoting in ekiti state will lead to no issue.he must identify the specific units, match them with data extracted directly from bvas not inec server, compare them the voters register and not just dump them in open court.he must give live to his evidences.out of 6 months for the tribunal,1 and a half months is already spent.out of the 4 and half months,he can only get one and a half month to present all his evidences and averments.that time is not even enough to carry out forensics or recounts in about 3 states.bringing video evidences in a fraction of places or complaints in a few isolated areas like Lagos will lead to wastage. Talking about challenging tinubu qualifications, the apex court in akinlade vs apc 2019 supra per vivour classified them as pre election matters.was tinubu ever convicted and if so,has 10 years elapsed or not? Even if he was under a sentence, has 10 years not elapsed as stated under subsection d of 137? Is he a Guinean citizen and even if he was,did he voluntarily acquire it as per registration or he was conferred or born in guinea? As at the time of the polls, was shettima a candidate in two constituencies? Is fct to be counted as a state or differently? What is the closest judgments to this matter? What is the body language of the apex Court?

Atiku won in some states too. Didn't Atiku bribe him too? Obi won in all south eastern states. Did he bribe someone too? Tinubu didn't even win all SW. He lost in Lagos and Osun to LP and PDP respectively! Yet, it's only Tinubu that rigged! This is why I used the word senseless earlier! Does it make any sense?

During the grueling campaign by the major political parties including LP, did you see Apapa anywhere? He just showed up after election to say he has been in the party. Even in Oyo state where he is from, LP did not field candidates for gubernatorial election madridguy: Anyone that criticize Alhaji Apapa after watching this video must be nothing but an evil element.
The man was fully aware that people are calling him herbalist while some are saying he's working for the president elect.
He made it clear that he joined the LP in the year 2002 and some clown want him to watch while some refugees from the PDP to come and hijack their party.
As for Obi saying he doesn't knows him, Apapa should not be surprised because he Obi said it that his children always video record him anytime he makes promise to them so he won't be able to denied it later. |

Saying someone bribed someone is not an abuse but an allegation! I'm saying INEC compromised the election at the highest level in connivance with Tinubu. Peter Obi did not rig! AntiChristian: The abuse is the claim that someone was bribed to manipulate the elections. This is a big lie which you have no concrete evidence for than speculations.
I didn't vote Obi, Atiku or Kwankwaso. That does not mean i don't like them. I just didn't see the need voting for them.
I can agree that the election was rigged! But that LP didn't rig in the SE is also false!
PDP rigged wherever they could! APC rigged wherever they could! LP rigged wherever they could! etc!

Its only temporary victory though AntiChristian: What evidence do you have that he collected money?
Who did he collect money from?
From Tinubu to win in some states?
From Atiku to win in some states?
From Kwankwanso to win in Kano?
From Obi to win in the SE and few other states? |

Politics › Re: Tinubu victory: Why Nigeria don't nullify presidential election, 2007 as example by DMerciful(m): 1:27pm On May 03, 2023 |
Things have changed but you guys will realise it when Tinubu's victory is overturned Biodun556: Nigeria don't nullify presidential election for obvious reasons. 2007 general election is the worst since 1999. See the judgments.
Tribunal:
ABUJA, Feb 26 (Reuters) - A Nigerian tribunal upheld the 2007 election of President Umaru Yar'Adua on Tuesday, rejecting challenges from rivals who wanted the vote annulled because of massive rigging.
The tribunal in Africa's most populous nation ruled that opposition candidate Muhammadu Buhari, Yar'Adua's main opponent, had failed to prove that violations of the electoral law were substantial enough to invalidate the overall result.
The five-judge tribunal also rejected a challenge brought by former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, who came third in the election that local and international observers said was marred by massive fraud.
"Umaru Yar'Adua and Goodluck Jonathan remain the president and vice-president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria," the ruling said.
Had the vote been annulled, it could have risked destabilising the major oil exporter, which emerged just nine years ago from decades of army rule and has drawn increasing foreign investor interest.

Appeal Court:
“Since the two consolidated petitions have failed, Umaru Yar Adua and Goodluck Jonathan [the vice-president] remain validly elected,” James Ogebe, the presiding judge, ruled. ‘Disappointment’ The two challengers plan to appeal to the Supreme Court, which could take several more months to deliver a final ruling.
Abubakar, a former vice-president, said he was disappointed. “My reaction – and that of most Nigerians – is that of disappointment,” he told Al Jazeera.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2008/2/26/nigeria-court-upholds-poll-results
Supreme court:
The seven-justice court ruled that the two runners-up in the vote had failed to show evidence that graft was widespread enough to force an annulment. But the judges acknowledged flaws in the election, and chided politicians on their combative conduct in the vote and during legal challenges since.
“We’re not saying that all went well in the conduct of the election,” said one justice, Niki Tobi, laying the blame on the country’s political elite. “The way politics is played frightens me. It’s a fight to the finish.”
The ruling by the Supreme Court hands Yar’Adua an immediate political victory and strengthens his position by erasing the possibility that he could be replaced in a rerun of the April 21, 2007, election.
