Just as the SW are betrayers. What goes around comes around
Ttalk:
We know all this while that is the motive behind Buni creating unnecessary division in the party, but that will permanently put the core-north as betrayal and anti Nigeria. However, it would hasten the discussion or restructure of the country that they don't want

Me tire? I aint in Nigeria, na una go tire!
perambulator:
Nobody in PDP can get more votes In the north than Atiku….fact!

You have no right to crtiticize Atiku when Peter Obi did not add a single vote in the SE, he actually lost more votes in Anambra his own state that when there was no candidate from the Se on the ticket.

My friend I am done with this conversation if you people like engage your brains if you like continue the be sentimental, opposition never tire una, when opposition tire una you will borrow yourselves brain like Tinubu did when he got tired of opposition!!!!
Politics › Re: Zoning: Party Has The Final Say - Peter Obi by DMerciful(m): 2:39pm On Mar 22, 2022
I'm ok with PDP picking a candidate that can win even if he is Atiku but the fact remains that Atiku performed poorly in NE, his own zone than any other PDP candidate in history!
perambulator:
The man from sokoto made a very good point today. The point of an election is victory. It is not about the man with ideas, the man from my tribe, the Christian the Muslim, etc etc etc. it’s about who and what combination of candidates on a ticket can get you the votes you need from your base and from the opposition territory if you don’t have enough voters in your base…..it’s really that simple!!!.

Elections are very simple you count the number of votes and see who has the highest. You lose elections by engaging in distractions that do not add the the number of votes on your side.

Politics › Re: Zoning Vs Winning The Election: South-South Cannot Win Presidency - Tambuwal by DMerciful(m): 2:13pm On Mar 22, 2022
There's no zone called South! Pushing for the old North and South narrative will only benefit NW and SW!

We have NW, NE, NC, SE, SS, SW and the presidency should be zoned as such!
seunmsg:
Absolute nonsense. Jonathan won the election in 2011 so what’s he saying?

Is Tambuwal saying the north cannot vote for a southern PDP candidate despite having the presidency for 8 years? Why then should the south vote for a northern PDP candidate when they can’t do the same to us?

The greed of Northern PDP leaders is unbelievable. They must think southerners are stupid. They simply want to cheat the south of what truly belongs to the them and it’s left for southern PDP leaders to respond. Since APC is presenting a southern candidate, I see no reason why PDP should not do the same. In a battle of two southern candidates, I don’t see any reason why PDP should be scared.
Politics › Re: Zoning: Party Has The Final Say - Peter Obi by DMerciful(m): 2:06pm On Mar 22, 2022
How much vote did Atiku bring from NE, you started writing epistle!

What was PDP traditional vote numbers in NE? When it got to Atiku, you shifted the goalpost!
perambulator:
With due respect you don’t know how to interprete data. You are a data illiterate! You cannot “ bring” something that was there already and that is in no danger of going anywhere. SE votes are not Peter Obi votes, they are PDP votes. For you to say he “brought” votes then he must add to the votes PDP already traditionally had from the SE. but the results actually show that PDP got less votes in the SE with Peter Obi than in 2015 under JOnathan.

SE votes are always for PDP, in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 SE voted for PDP when there was no Ibo on the ticket. History has shown SE will vote yoruba Hausa, Bayelsa so long as he is PDP. Therefore he didn’t “bring” the SE votes and When there is an Ibo man on the ticket PDP should get more votes but instead they got less votes than in 2015.

Again “bring” means you are adding voters I didn’t have before!!!

Atiku’s strength is that he gets votes from everywhere in the country. Peter Obi only has 1 constituency…… SE and he failed to add any votes, therefore he was/is a liability. He didn’t add any new votes from his core zone and he has zero to little appeal outside his core zone.

This is a not a sentimental or subjective opinion , it’s not about whether I like Obi or not. I am not even a PDP supporter so I shouldn’t even be giving you this piece of advice. In fact I should be encouraging you to field Peter OBi because he is like I said a liability. I am simply telling you what the numbers say.

Politics › Re: Zoning: Party Has The Final Say - Peter Obi by DMerciful(m): 7:10am On Mar 22, 2022
There's nothing like South! We have SW, SE and SS. Nothing like North but NW, NE and NC!
DeLaRue:
So he can't even express a preference for zoning to the South.

Mr Obi's timidity is cringe-worthy.
Politics › Re: Zoning: Party Has The Final Say - Peter Obi by DMerciful(m): 7:09am On Mar 22, 2022
Obi brought more vote than Atiku. What was the margin in SE and what was the margin in NE? You're not data driven!
perambulator:
He knows it is going to the north and he is hoping Atiku will pick him

No matter who PDP choose they face a tough battle. Personally I think Obi is a liability even as VP. PDP should go with Wike or Makinde as VP.

PDP esp SE People will abuse me but the purpose of a vp is to win you votes in areas where you are not strong or encroach into opposition heartland. Obi did not win Atiku any new votes aputside SE last time and he even got less votes in SE than Jonathan therefore he was a liability to Atiku. SE are not voting for APC combine that with fact that Obi actually scored less votes in SE for PDP than Jonathan, he is an electoral liability. That is what the numbers say and let’s not forget at the end of the noise and sentiment, elections are about nothing but NUMBERS!

Another major problem Ibos have politically is that they have migrated and spread themselves around the country so much, that they do not have the voting numbers back home to be a significant and desirable electoral bride and they are too thinly spread across the country to affect the outcomes of election where they reside. Even their population in Lagos is not yet enough to significantly affect the Lagos elections. In places where it is they are intimidated by the locals.

Igbos are everywhere in Nigeria doing business and building houses. Do you think they want Nigeria to go down? If Nigeria goes down, how will it affect their investments?

Truth is the average Igbo man wants equity that's all. And equity we must get eventually!

Dsalvo:
Everything is about what others must do for you. Can't igbos resolve to be more gracious, more fair, more respectful and more considerate to other Nigerians?
Politics › Re: APC: Governors Draw Battle Line With Aso Rock Cabal by DMerciful(m): 9:56pm On Mar 20, 2022
You don't need what's inside a book to know the honest thing to do. If you say rotation is not constitutional both in APC constitution and Nigeria constitution then it means the NW has every right to contest as well so there shouldn't be any mention of presidency zoned to the South but open for all.

And if we tow this path, see how long it would take before the division gets to breaking point
Ttalk:
Yes I quite agree that rotating the presidency could sustain the unity of the country but we have to understand the followings

1. Rotational presidency is not in the constitution of Nigeria
2. Existing rotation arrangement we have is only in PDP
3. APC doesn't have rotational arrangement in it's constitution
4. The existing rotation in PDP is regional based and not zonal based. It is between the north and the South and not among each 6 geopolitical zone

The existing arrangement in PDP was betrayed by the South in 2015 when Jonathan contested and was being backed by leaders from the South. That sole act put paid to any zoning arrangement in PDP
Politics › Re: APC: Governors Draw Battle Line With Aso Rock Cabal by DMerciful(m): 9:52pm On Mar 20, 2022
You don't trust the Igbo for anything and at the same time you oppose cutting Igbos off from Nigeria same was Singapore was cutoff from Malaysia. It doesn't work that way, its either you work with them in one country or you don’t work with them in 2 separate countries. I, myself I'm Igbo from Delta State but in believe in rotation of presidency among the geopolitical zones especially at a time like this!
Dsalvo:
When will you people gain the pragmatic intelligence to accept that the behaviour and attitude of Igbos, for over 60 years now, is the main reason preventing all levels and strata of Nigerian politics supporting them gaining ultimate power?

Even you. Would you fck with the idea of me leading your household if you know I am an unfair person very unlikely to be equitable to you and your beloved?

What, in Igbo contemporary behaviour, instills Nigerians with the confidence to entrust them with ultimate power over all Nigerians?

I just dont understand why most Nigerians love talking sentimentally in total ignorance of our reality.

Like the chap talking about Moghalu earlier when the same character ran in 2019 to gain circa 30k votes while Buhari's winning votes was 15 million.
Politics › Re: APC: Governors Draw Battle Line With Aso Rock Cabal by DMerciful(m): 8:47pm On Mar 20, 2022
In a country as ethnically divided as Nigeria,
rotational presidency helps with unity. Swinging presidency btw NW and SW does not help unity and you must agree with me on this. Its the turn of the three other regions yet to produce the presidency and as such I'll support a presidency of SE, NE or NC extraction. Thats the most equitable thing to do.
Ttalk:
Am sorry to say you do not understand Lagos politics though you might be living there. I breathe Lagos politics. Let leave it at that
Politics › Re: APC: Governors Draw Battle Line With Aso Rock Cabal by DMerciful(m): 8:33pm On Mar 20, 2022
The reason for removing Ambode is not what you just mentioned. Before Tinubu declined support for Ambode, he was praised in Lagos and Nigeria as a perfirming governor.

My point is Tinubu uses thugs to control Lagos politics same way Bubu is using cabals to control national politics.

I believe Tinubu is competent enough however its against equity for SW to be talking of presidency now, its the turn of SE, NE or NC!
Ttalk:
I like it when opposition critise based on issue rather than name calling.

Ambode was a disaster as a governor as he concerntrated infrastructure in his Senatorial division and in particular Epe where he's from neglecting Lagos West which comprise of 10LG with the largest number of voting population strength as well as the area with the highest numbers of the indigene.

Such vital error cant be ignored in a state like Lagos the has laid down developmental plan.

Agbero is a necessary evil in the type of Nigeria we find ourselves where the North nurture BH and bandits, SS militants and SE IPOB, the different is that Agbero in SW are being legally used to collect revenue at the park
Politics › Re: APC: Governors Draw Battle Line With Aso Rock Cabal by DMerciful(m): 8:22pm On Mar 20, 2022
What was the margin of APC and PDP victories in SW? Less than 500k in 2015 and less than 200k in 2019!
Dsalvo:
Keep fooling yourself. Tinubu delivered the whole SW for Buhari. A region Buhari, over several attempts, had always failed in 100%.

Did Okorocha deliver Imo for Buhari? Did Amaechi deliver his State for Buhari?

How many Governors, Senators, Reps and grade A grassroot mobilizers did any of those names you mentioned deliver for the APC in comlarsion to Tinubu and his then ACN behemoth which was the biggest opposition Party to PDP back then?

Even the APC primaries Tinubu won singlehandedly for Buhari who is apolitical and not even minimally adept at Party politics.

You are just being sentimental and biased. Tinubu was, by far, the biggest and most influential contributor to the 2015 victory of APC. 100% fact.
Politics › Re: APC: Governors Draw Battle Line With Aso Rock Cabal by DMerciful(m): 8:01pm On Mar 20, 2022
But Tinubu bullied Ambode out of Lagos gov race, he has be using MC Oluomo and his gangs to install Lagos govs, reps, senators and hoa members
Dsalvo:
Abi. Even if he thinks Tinubu is not for him, how does it help our democracy for anyone to suggest some candidates should be bullied out of the race with government/presidential abuse of power rather than work for their own candidate to win democratically. Fair and square.

Black folks, especially Africans, will never understand what it takes to grow a democracy that will deliver for every man, woman and child always. We want to move goalposts to favour our personal needs.

Nigerians want democracy when it suits them and will welcome dictatorship and abuse of power against perceived enemies when that gets them what they want.

Igbos cry marginalisation all day but are the ones most vocal over the call for others to be marginalised, schemed out, disenfranchised, bullied and blatantly prevented from reaping the fruits of their labour.

This is why I will never pity Igbos. Those who
come to equity must come with clean hands. That is never an Igbo man who is always happy to do to others what he claims has been done wrongfully, against him.
