Anything that is worth doing is worth doing well. In Naija, it's always overdone, sometimes, to the brink of death! |
Oh, what a miss! I wished my kid was opportuned to be part of this epoch event. World record aside, organising such an event must have entailed a monstrous mental challenge and a mind blowing logistic and capital outlay. The exercise alone will surely create several channels for greater things for many participants. For the kids, it is a lifetime achievement. The onerous task will broaden their minds on the benefit of group work instead of the cancerous and selfish individualism that is currently plaguing us. For the 'filibusters', I guess they must have been born from the late 80's onwards. Unfortunately, this marks the beginning of Nigeria's slide into the slimy water of deceit, dishonesty, and disarticulation of societal values resulting in an amoeboid society which shape is perpetually determined by the selfish expressions of a few. |
They have become Senatasses a long time ago. I wished it could be so reflected in the statue books. |
HotNaijaBabe: Yeah! There is no G.P.A for MBBS...What exactly did he study?Medical schools in Eastern Europe have a different curriculum and grading system than we normally know. |
texaco1: but does the medical professional body in nigeria allow medical establishments to advertise what they can do or is there a law against such ?You made my day! And I dont give commendations easily. In fact, if u were near me, I would have given u a bear hug. Now I wont blame those that posted shallow and negative comments here for their usual Naija mentality. It is true that the medical practise in Nigeria is still bound by old laws despite great strides made and are still being made in various specialties. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO ADVERTISE WHAT YOU CAN DO IN NIGERIA. Despite this, those priviledged to know what our hospitals can do seek their services quietly while many, as found e.g in nairaland, exude ignorance. Recently, I was sponsored to a workshop on management of a medical emergency with some Britons as resource persons. Along the line, we mutually agreed that I should edit the lectures before presentation. Let us not act as if hospitals in foreign lands are run by angels. Our problem is not lack of well trained personnel but that of motivation and adequate facilities. Request government to supply u necessary equipments and drugs to work you sometimes get outdated equipments supplied as new or unbranded drugs. If u raise an eyebrow you are either ignored or get threatened. Rarely, you get what u really asked for. However, in some hospitals, where things are near normal, great strides are being made. |
EASTSIDAZ: Peter Obi remains is a role model. He achieved so much without borrowing a dime from any bank. Even those that borrowed couldn't achieve a quarter of his feat. Dalu Okwute Ndi Igbo nile gburu gburu..Please, as a matter of urgency, modify the first sentence of your post before somebody becomes a widow. |
chidindufrank: Good. If a young man like Obi could think of retirement, what stops Buhari from retiring from active politics? Why so engrossed with Buhari instead of focusing on those currently looting our common wealth and leading us to sheol? |
Table Leg :Hope you are not a beneficiary of the product of there inhumane working condition. There are labour laws both nationally and internationally meant to reconcile the interests of the employer and the employee so as to guarantee a harmonious working environment. Should either of the parties breach any of the labour laws it is then appropriate for the other party to cry out. If the reverse were the case, would you support the employees? It is obvious the workers are being made to pay for the colossal corruption that occured before oceanic acquisition. |
Kudos to our president and his entire team for this initiative. Bravo to the armed and 'civilian' JTF for the success so far recorded. My condolence to those who lost loved ones. And I wish the injured a rapid and full recovery. Lets we forget, this campaign is one half of the cycle needed to defeat BH. The other half is for our President to name publicly and bring to justice those BHs he claimed are members of his government. |
pro01: How would the FRSC prove in court that I was making a call while driving? If I immediately delete my call logs when I notice that an arrest is imminent, what will be the evidence? I can easily claim that the FRSC operative is lying against me for malicious reasons, same way the LASTMA goons victimise innocent people, and it would be his word against mine. That will be stupendous stupidity. Your own words and actions will land u in the gulag once the call logs from your network provider is tendered as evidence. More wahala if you are further charged with tampering with evidence in your phone! |
FRSC has made a good pronouncement. Whenever I travel by public transport, I always alight at the end of the journey in a foul mood because of the stress I go through trying to talk sense into some of these drivers of the dangers of making calls while driving. They stare back at me malevolently, almost all the time. One would expect co-passengers to speak in my support but, guess what, they will tell u not to disturb the driver that it's God that grants merciful journeys. Please, FRSC, this alone will barely scratch the surface. A comprehensive enlightment campaign is urgently needed in order to achieve the stated aim of reducing the rate of road accidents. There should be no exceptions in applying this law and, for that matter, other traffic laws as we all know that the worst offenders are the government officials, banks, police, and the various armed forces. If u can enforce the law on them, I believe we, the commoners, will automatically fall in line without much ado. |
YOUNGKAHUNA: Like For Real...Where Y'all Gettin The News From?My brother, it would have been better for u to stay disconnected in Naija o. That way u will live a relatively normal life. Now that u are connected, u don carry ant infested firewood o. Na wahala news dey for Naija o. If I were u, I go run four forty back to when I nor dey here news o. Na there peace dey o. |
popplm: what can you do to help naija at your age? we know people like you, Gorrila!I think you must have undergone genetic mutation with the resultant effect of a permanent structural reversal of your brain with attendant perpetual disorientation from the truth. To you anything goes today. And tomorrow, you will lay blames for your unavoidable failure on the badluck of your leaders forgetting that u abetted this crooked victory. |
dozai: Go and jump inside pit. if 1 is not enough jump inside 2.Too late with your comment. I am already inside 10 pits buried in shame until the era of 1981 Keshi, Nwosu etc flying eagles is replicated- age wise. |
Win by any age! Ancient men playing in teenage competition. The cheating goes on. The story of naija. |
Nigerians mostly dwell on immediate results forgetting that football as an endeavour has short, medium, and long term plans. I think the short term plan, which is to have a team we can identify with, has been met. Next is the medium term plan which is to mould and remould the team to a standard that we want. This is the stage we are now. The long term plan will be to sustain the momentum. On the balance of play, I liked what I saw. Did anybody actually believed that we will beat Spain? NO! Our criticism stems out of the fact that Spain would have been beaten if a few things had been done right in that match. No country has had such scoring opportunities and ball possession against Spain recently in a competitive match. So let the building process continue.Remember they need our support. We shall get there only if NFF does not mess up. |
When I think of what Ideye and Musa have done so far in this match, I remember Colombian Escobar in 1994. |
MUSAAAAAAAAA. OTI PAMI |
IDEYEEEEEEEEEEE! OGBUM MADU |
We really need good, imaginative and decisive strikers. Defense is okay, midfield is good, but attack, pregnant women. |
Either we are really improving as a team or Spain is not taking this match seriously. |
Nigerians! Analyzing and de-analyzing products that will hardly add real value to their lives. If by stroke of luck some eventually acquire this devise they will hardly attain 10 percent mastery of its functions b4 they are hit with another improved version in the succeeding year. And then the incessant grovelling will rise to a new decibel potraying these incurable addicts of having a brain permanently on cocaine that needs regular top up. It wont be a suprise that the cost of all the household goods of many of these wannabes will not sum up to that of these devices. I remember when I was cajoled into buying galaxy 1, it was constant high BP and anxiety until a 'good' samaritan re-possessed it. And I've been living a normal life thereafter with my Nokia classic 2700, bought in 2009, that is still functioning classically like new. It is the most ingenous phone ever made. |
The bible says 'thou shall not kill'. As a faithful servant of God, if you are confronted by two gun-totting assailants who are hell bent in killing you but you have a slight advantage of shooting first, what will you do? |
SniperInADiaper: I dont recommend WikipediaWhy? |
Itsfacts: You don't have to lie that you are not one of them and talk about them like thisMy friend, there was a thread recently on this forum about an unfortunate incidence involving some JW in Asaba, Delta State, where they had a tango with some women in a brothel. Those that defended the Witnesses most were non-Witnesses. I know for certain that a true Witness will never deny his faith. If I were one be sure that this discuss will not last this long because they dont persist in forcing through their views. I'm a staunch apostle of healthy brainstorming but once there is deviation to the absurd by throwing insults then I know it's time to quit the stage. Adieu. |
Itsfacts: all the claims are accurate. they have been told to research other church or religion and badmouth them but they said they should not research their own church. they have been told not to come to sites like thisPlease, from what pedestal did you arrive at such conclusion that all the claims are accurate? I am not a JW nor do I consider myself knowledgeable enough to defend them but, on a general note, they are the only christian group that cannot complete a sentence without opening the bible, the young and the old inclusive. What is preached in Lagos is same in Cairo, Maputo, Auckland, Hong Kong, Moscow, Oslo, New York, Brasilia etc. To me, that speaks volume. |
barcanista: You are most miserable. Fake man, fake name, fake life, fake nl handle. Everything about your life is counterfeit. What a senseless m0r0n you are. Which communique? do you think GEJ is as stupid as you and your paymasters are? I repeat, Metuh resigned, another GEJ man will succeed him QED. i know you are waiting for the fall of GEJ/PDP, sorry you have to wait till eternity cos GEJ/PDP aint falling.come 2014 Primaries, GEJ will triumph in the Primaries, his opponent will be HIGHLY flood just like Atiku. Come 2015 Presidential Election, GEJ will SWEEP Nigeria and HUMILIATE APC/ACN/CPC or whatever again and again. RubbishWhy this imbecility? Are you of proper genetic constitution or a product of dysgenesis? |
Mary was the medium through which Christ was born and nutured to adulthood. Pure and simple. After that very little was heard about her. She was not apportioned any special status during and immediately after the death of Christ. The book of revelation that foresaw many of the great things to come never mentioned Mary playing any significant role in our life. Therefore worshiping her or bowing before her image or any other image for that matter is idol worshiping. You dont rationalise obedience to God because He is very jealous but very clear in his instructions to his earthly beings. As clear as daylight is from darkness. |
JW will hardly respond to this post. @OP. I think you need to do proper research to determine the veracity of claims 2, 3, 5, and your submission after 6. And a proper research implies getting very close to and living with them long enough to be able present an informed opinion that can withstand thorough scrutiny. |
frankyychiji: He further said that though he cannot fully disclose the circumstances leading to the ban, he noted that it is done in good fate to ensure the security of the people of the state.Have you heared of obsessive compulsive disorder? |
Artistree: Wait o, no Tricycle? E don red be dat! Some places in Benin are not accessible witout a bike or tricycle, wetin we go dey do na? Maybe we'd form a Trekkers Association & get a secretariat, innit? You made the only sensible comment so far. The ban may be justified but given that some of the streets in Benin are not motorable, I dare say it's gonna be a long walk to some destinations. |
