Gabbysky:
Igbos in Lagos has long settled for PDP's Agbaje. Not just the Igbos but the Ijaws, the Hausas, Middle - Beltans and Niger - deltas, and millions of Yorubas.
Before I left Lagos, I sampled opinions of an average of 20 people each from Agege, Ogba, Ikeja, SHOMOLU, I solo, Ajeromi, Oriel, Lagos Island, VI and Lekki and the general consensus I.e 75% of those interviewed don't know ambode, they will be voting for Agbaje they know at the polls - that's confirmed.
Expect the Bob guy to drop his ambition soon and ask his teeming supporters to vote for Agbaje.
The recent meeting between fashole and the Artisans in Lagos did not help matters as they vowed to end apc's tyranny in Lagos and vote in a more credible Jimi Agbaje who has their interest at heart. It's too late for apc they say- to them, they are more for the personality of Agbaje than the Party he is in.

Jimi Agbaje will be the next Governor of Lagos State without much campaigns and the good people of Lagos will surely see to that.
Agbaje please watch your back ooo, that's the cry from your teeming supporters in Lagos. All tribes inclusive

Ikengawo:

This is true. I think an open tribalist is a more reasonable person than a hidden one. A hidden tribalist is lying to an audience that doesn't exist or believe them.

Every Nigerian is proud of their tribe, and in being proud they will prefer their own before they prefer another. That is simple human nature and anyone trying to say they're otherwise needs to get their head checked. I think our best solution is building a Nigeria that doesn't pretend we're all the same or that our ethnic heritages are something we should put in the background or try to forget. If you ask me to choose between Igbo history and Nigerian history, I will pick Igbo history as the one that makes me proudest unless Obasanjo stealing your money and Abacha dying with prostitutes is a point of pride for you. A yoruba, hausa, tiv, kalabari man will say the same.

i concur, I'd prefer outright breakup sha

Lol, not inciting violence.

I just expect more decisiveness in decision making, just to put an end to the boldness. You can't be clingy with ya own, and still go about trying to force others to share theirs. Just take a look at the Anambra election, and all the amala talks about APC and Yorubas trying to lord over them. The labelling of Lagos as a "no man's land." And this utterly disrespectful letter question the language and tradition of the land.

What's next? - they might start asking the indigenous Lagos folks to start working for them ask slaves.
patience bro, there's always a plan

All Nigerians are tribalists some are just better at hiding it than others, including the tribe that's always complaining about it

Lol, Yorubas act like a minority group in Nigeria, despite being the biggest single ethnic bloc in the country, once you separate the Hausas from the Fulanis. And they need to start acting it. They just cower to everyone and it's painful to watch as a Yoruba person. Heck, even small Ijaws also threaten them from time to time - hysterical. grin

They have taken that nonsense out here, and hearing folks say Yorubas are cowards these days on these streets doesn't even shock me anymore. There was even some Uncle who said that shiit, and my boy was so pissed that he almost bottled him. I had to tell him to allow it, that it's a naij thing.

These Yorubas need to show that they have got balls - I don't rate how they do things. They're not repping us right grin
