Joey150, answer this: DoctorAlien: Joey150, explain purgatory in the light of these verses:
"But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of GOD;" Heb. 10:12
"For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." Heb. 10:14
"And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin." Heb. 10:17-18
"Christ also died for sins once and for all" 1 Pet. 3:18 |

joey150: Matthew: 5. 25. Be at agreement with thy adversary betimes, whilst thou art in the way with him: lest perhaps the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 26. Amen I say to thee, thou shalt not go out from thence till thou repay the last farthing. - keep in mind that is the sermon on the mount. where Jesus taught about heaven In this passage, who is the adversary? |

Syncan: Hahaha, for two thousand years, Catholics spread the good news, won souls for Christ, from atheists and Pagans of different nations including your fore fathers. They laid their lives for it, they were eating by wild beasts, crucified, drowned, burnt, yet they preached on Christ crucified. They Collected, selected and canonized a list of books into one book, to help them propagate this Christianity. Whoever you call your champion in whatever supposed Christianity you practice, learned about Christ from the Catholic Church. You mean for more than a millenium, the catholic church was busy persecuting the saints of GOD? Killing the Waldensians and the Albigenses who stood for Scriptural truth? Hunting down and killing and maiming anyone that dared oppose their abominable teachings? Killing untold millions by the fire of inquisiton and trying to remove the light of GOD's word from the people? Nevertheless, the light of GOD's word can never be hidden. |

Joey150, is Jesus command in Matt. 5:48 impossible?
Did David go to purgatory?
Nothing unclean shall enter Heaven: is the blood of Jesus not enough to make one fit for Heaven?
If the only group that will be in Heaven are those who washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb, where is purgatory in the picture? |

joey150: so are we on the same part thay traditions where indeed handed down to them? Traditions outside the scriptures? Yes or no! "His divine power has given us EVERYTHING we need for a godly life..." 2 Pet. 1:3 All you need to make Heaven is in the Bible. It has been given unto you! You don't need lies and fables of men to make Heaven. The Bible is enough. |

joey150: but you clearly are not. If you did, you would answer simple questions and admit to or deny some facts so i know where your stand is.
You just go picking up verses like the whole bible should be tied to purgatory. I quoted you in one. You couldnt find a fault there. You have since ignored it and moved on to picking up random verses...
Dont you see i get what you are doing. Am seriously enjoying your merry go round. But dont deceive yourself that you came here to learn... The intent is very clear. As always.. You are welcomed bro. The Christians were instructed to hold on to traditions handed down to them: was purgatory one of them? |

They are not dead in christ, that is why theu are heaven bound.. Look i quoted you in a post..go and read and understand. You seem to be all over asking random questions.. Same question worded differently.
I also asked you if you believed that the apostles taught traditions earlier. You since ignored it. If you cannot answer my very simple questions after i have painstakingly taken my time to answer a ton of yours. What then is the whole essence?? But I opened the thread to learn. Didn't I? |

joey150: i was making reference to that same verse. i know of the blood of the lamb. so why do you think that the great tribulation cannot then mean purgatory? Since there will only be one group in Heaven: those who washed their robes in the blood of the lamb, where is purgatory in the picture? If you say the great tribulation is purgatory, when did/does it take place? Will somebody like Moses go to this purgatory too? If you say the great tribulation is purgatory, it then means that everybody in Heaven must have passed through purgatory (because all of them came through great tribulation). This counters the point you made earlier that not everybody will go to purgatory. Explain. |
