The Bible says no man has seen GOD at any time. Jesus adds that they have neither seen Him, nor heard His voice at any time in John 5:37. Exod. 24:10 says the leaders of Israel saw the GOD of Israel. Who did they see? Who was that who spoke the law on mount Sinai?

Jesus called Himself the good shepherd. Compare that with His statement that only GOD is good.

I was talking about Christians understanding it differently, through the "leading of the Holy Spirit" .

This leading of the Spirit is really causing further schism in Christianity.

I don't know what you're driving at but Matthew and Mark reported that Jesus stated unambiguously that He has power to forgive sin on earth, something only GOD can do.

So sins are ultimately committed against GOD. Jesus forgave the paralytic all his sins. The Jews knew that only GOD could forgive sins and so they persecuted Jesus in Mark 2:7.
