I read Franchasofficia's comment to a post entitled "Youths In Kaduna Mount Peter Obi Billboards" by alsudan, on 2nd July 2022. In his comment section, he deviated from the topical discourse to cast aspersions on APC, Yorubas and Asiwaju Tinubu in a misleading manner. I make haste to counter his misrepresentations and assertions as well as setting the factuality straight with my following style.

▪️Your piece is rife with political ignorance, neophotism, lies, deception, confusion, mischief, hatred, etc

▪️Ignorance because you lack the intricacies and tendencies of political PARTIES. APC, PDP etc are in politics to fulfill certain interests regardless of personal or tribal sentiments. Zoning and choice of candidates are political strategic arrangement implemented to win election by parties. No sentiments! Also, it is a sheer ignorance if you don't understand the usage of Emilokan term WITHIN a party primary contest. CPC and ACN are two dominant blocs in APC. After the turn of Buhari's CPC, Tinubu reminded them that it is his own turn based on agreement at the formation stage of their party. He needed to make a public pronouncement when he discovered a manipulation against the agreement. Why did you fault that with the claim that the coinage should have been used for Igbo instead of Tinubu? Ignorance!

▪️Neophotism because you spoke like someone who lacks real political knowledge regarding how parties win election, the strength of parties in each ethnic zone, and how playing tribal sentiments never win election. That is why people like your Igbo sons such as Kalu, Umahi, Okorocha, Uzodinma, Ogbonanya, Ngige and others are supporting their candidate, Tinubu

▪️Lies and deception because you failed to say it the way it is regarding agitation for Igbo presidency. You want Tinubu to step down for Igbo presidency whereas Igbo political gladiators supported northern aspirants during party primaries. These instances shouldn't have emanated from a reasonable mind, but only from a mischievous mind. All these candidates are PDP members. The progressive and core yorubas are never PDP. The Igbos are for PDP and bound to vote the party. Why are Igbos not voting Yoruba's APC? Yet, you want APC you have never supported to zone the presidency to Igbos! FIVE POSSIBLE CRUCIAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR DECIDING APC VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

I presumed that the delay of APC's stalwarts in picking their Vice Presidential Candidate, is as a result of their due consideration for a number of factors necessary for acceptable candidate. Such factors, I believe include the following considerations:

1. There will be a consideration for the Blocs that constituted APC. Apart from the ACN bloc that has produced the presidential candidate in the person of Asiwaju Tinubu, other blocs to be considered for vice presidential slot are CPC, ANPP, nPDP and a faction of APGA. CPC, which is popular in the north will be preferably considered.

2. A candidate from a preferable zone among the three Northern Zones will be of a high consideration. These northern zones including North West, North East, and North Central, are in contention for the slot within the region. There are intense agitations from North East and Central for the ticket. Few elements from North West have also indicated interest.

3. Religion of the candidate is one major factor to be highly considered. For religious balancing, a Christian candidate will be moderately considered. For electoral boost desirable for the party's victory, a Muslim candidate will be optionally essential.

4. The Age of the candidate is another important factor for consideration. Since the Presidential Candidate is of high age, a Vice Candidate that is moderately young will be preferably considered.

5. There will be a consideration for a candidate with a successional status. A Vice Presidential Candidate capable of being groomed for taking over as the President, after the elapse of southern tenure, will be essentially considered.

These considerations, no doubt, have constituted an enormous challenge for APC in their prompt decision task. The decision is even beyond the presidential candidate now since he needs to be liberal for the party's input and cohesion in the decision process. It behoves on all stakeholders and teaming supporters of the party, to be patient with APÇ as well as accepting, respecting and supporting the decision made on the chosen one in the final lap.

I just have a set of questions for you to help you disillusioned, and to rack your brain in a right way.

* Mention states where Labour Party currently have governorship candidates that will contest in the coming election?

* Mention 3 senatorial districts in the States where Labour party will contest in the coming election?

* Mention House of Representatives constituencies in the states that Labour Party will contest the coming election?

* Mention States where Labour Party is contesting all the House of Assembly seats?

* Out of the 776 Local Government Areas in Nigeria, mention how many of them, and the states, that Labour Party have, or will contest in LGA elections?

If you will answer these questions sincerely, you will be amazed that Labour Party is not on ground in all these important Areas of politics and governments. These are what we call political structures coupled with all the party executives in all the wards nationwide. APC and PDP are the only active players holding sway in these areas of politics and governments nationwide. Elections are won from these statutory structures and platforms of politics. Even going by the fantasy expectations of you Peter Obi's supporters, that Obi's new movement with the youths will ensure Obi's victory, assuming he wins, which is obviously impossible, he cannot enjoy the government. Since Labour Party will have no appreciable number of senators and House of Reps, he will be controlled or impeached by APC/PDP dominated legislators.
In conclusion, all these your conjectures above are ruse! You are just fantasizing to satisfy your inordinate expectations of Obi's victory. The sooner you soft pedal on your fantasy, the better for avoiding calamitous frustration and hypertension. Take my counsels, they are life to your flesh and bone.

I totally agree with this post but disagree with the personal attibutes highlighted.

The main fault that Buhari has is his ethnocentrism. He wanted Lawan. The moment that failed, he could not bring himself to pick a southerner to go with. That shows how narrow-minded and ethnically jaundiced he is.

Second fault I see is his inability to nip issues in the bud. The main pusher of southern presidency among those northern governors is none other than El-Rufai who also masterminded the death of the Buni-led CECPC. The truth is though he eventually lost out by seeing Buni come back, his outburst on that occasion should have alerted a smart president to cage him, either by direct confrontation or some other back channels. However, Buhari refused to do anything about the man until he did him in at the primaries. For me, El-Rufai played the role he excels in the most, which is being a spoiler for others and loyal to know one but himself.

The last one is indecision, which I find absolutely shocking for a retired general. It all started from the chairmanship. It is obvious Buhari had no issues with Buni staying on and overseeing the primaries. But he was easily swayed by El-Rufai's coup. But that was not all. While he was meeting with the presidential aspirants to announce his candidate, the northern govs released a communique which countered his plans. Not only that, they leaked it to the press to box him into a corner. That ambush should not have been taken by Buhari. He should have directly ignored the governors and their ambush and called their bluff. When also confronted by the northern govs on the Lawan choice, he was said to have denied. While that denial was understandable, he should have also countered them by choosing a candidate from the south devoid of any list from them. His sudden decision to be neutral was a lame surrender unbefitting of his office.
I'm sure as soon as his tenure is over, everything about him will be forgotten in the party, it will be as though he never existed.

All these perceived mistakes from the president, the party chairman and Aso Rock Cabals, are pointers to God's divine order at play. It is a pointer that Tinubu is God's project to turn Nigeria around. The sudden agreement of the northern governors to back southern candidates as well as their prompt rejection of Buhari's northern choice, is not ordinary. It is being directed by supernatural force in the personality of God Almighty in order to establish his will for Tinubu as the chosen one. A reasonable mind who can discern well will notice that despite all the negative tendencies against Asiwaju from high and mighty as well as the haters and the envious, coupled with his weaknesses and infallibility, Asiwaju is waxing strong and forging ahead. Fear God! It is hard to kick against the brick. It is a fruitless exercise to pull down the man God has chosen to honour. May God protect Jagaban. May God strengthens him and renew his vigour and health in Jesus name. AMEN.
