Politics / Re: Yorubas Did Not Vote For GEJ, Igbos Did by dondavids: 3:47pm On Apr 18, 2011
It is really a waste of time trying to reason with Yorubas, as they have already been brainwashed by their very bigotted parents to hate Igbos

straight from birth.

The way forward is to continue to work hard and stand together behind one good leader.

If Igbos stay with PDP, organise themselves behind a single candidate, then make alliances with the SS and NC, they will surely produce a president in

the near future.

Forget the unrealiable yorubas because they have demonstrated time without number that they can't be trusted.

So for now, let's enjoy GEJ's victory for the next 4 years. Cos a Bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush,

Desola,

You can make noise all you want, the painful truth is that the average Yoruba person is very Lazy.

Na serious Bad Bella dey worry you.

What you can't have, you simply hate.

All GEJ needs to do inorder to stop Igbos from migrating to Lagos and helping lazy assholes like you guys develop Lagos is just to complete the dredging of River Niger and then build us a sea port in Onitsha then we can leave you Lazy and ungrateful Jealous Bastards alone to reap the fruits of your Laziness,

Hi, Orikinla.

The fact that you brought out your time to dis all Igbos in general, shows that you are really afraid of the impact our collective votes will have in the presidential elections.

Since 1970, Igbos have hustled on their own and made something good out of sheer personal hardwork, all without frederal government assistance.

Just wait till 2015 when GEJ would have thorughly empowered us then you will realise how great Igbos truely are

Obasanjo, one of the worst presidents we ever had. A yorubaman rejected by his own people. But we sent him to the presidenncy and he showed us. PDP's impoverishment of Nigerians started with him

Very True, , But whose fault was that.

Was it not the Northern political cabal that decided that the best person to rule Nigeria was OBJ, Maybe because He might have agreed not to probe them.

Until Nigeria breaks free from these Northerners that believe that they are the King Makers of Nigeria, This nation will never progress.

Ivanonic is The Weakest Link in chelsea's defence line.

His marking and positioning is very poor.

Abramovich should sell him and prevent future calamities.

I have analysed the 3 goals that Man U scored in both legs and they are all because of

Ivanovic poor defending.

Jason 123,

Are you really sane or are you in therapy in some mental hospital.

Please don't give yourself hypertension simply because you want to curse me.

For your information, I am having serious fun posting this cos I know that I have managed to spooke you.

I have managed to raise your blood pressure and this feels good.

If you must know, I support GEJ because he represent the steady change that I want and not the sudden but unsustainable change that Buhari or Ribudu preaches about.

Buhari is like a strict class room teacher that will flog you 24 strokes of the cain for an offense that rightfully merits only a corrective 6 strokes of the cain.

Buhari's method is not sustainable over the long haul, but GEJs system depends on making and enforcing democratic laws and allowing the democratic system to act as checks and balances, and thus allowing Nigerians democratic system to clean up itself gradually in a sustainable way, just like in the USA.
But I know that your myiopic mind does have the capability to understand this.

The beauty of having a good Education is that it allows you to see things objectively and to defend yourself when attacked.

We can go on and on discussing Anambra politics, but know one thing, If you really love Igbos, them go out there and do good to all Igbo that you meet or interact with, starting from me.

You cannot call me a Bigot and turn around and say that you have the interest of Igbos at heart. If you really love Igbo, then this is your chance to prove it.

I too would love a United Indivisible Nigeria, where it does not matter where you come from, but until I see this change, I will never again gamble

with issues of trust.

So Jason 123, instead of telling everyboy here how good you are and how bad I am , why don't you open a thread and discuss matters that benefit

the Igbos and how Igbos can be better.

Stop cursing Peter Obi and Dora Akunyili, cos I respect these people alot, just the same way you respect Awolowo.

To you Jason 123, I say this,"Be the Light You Want To See".

Make I go sleep Joo, No be Nairaland I go chop.
Politics / Re: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by dondavids: 3:07am On Apr 12, 2011
Hi Jason 123,

Since you like insulting people who tell you the truth, then I must tell you that you are very silly. You think that by being insulting that you will intimidate me into submission.

Nigeria is only good when it is ACN and yoruba who are ruling.

See how you people attack a good leader like GEJ in this forum even when he has done nothing wrong other than give us free and fair election.

There is this saying that A person who loves bringing harm to another with a cutlass does not like it when the same cutlass is used on him.

The only reason why you resort to personal insults is because you know that what I am saying is true.

I have met alot of hypocrites like you and I know first hand that people like you can say or do anything and even resort to physical violence so as to

defend your silly opinions.

You are the real tribalist, becuase of your complete inability to accomodate GEJ in your previous posts, simply because he is not ACN.

When you point a finger at someone, the other four fingers points at you.

Finally leave your girl friend out of this dicussion, she is obviously too in love with you to think clearly, she will learn the hard way soon,
Politics / Re: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by dondavids: 2:39am On Apr 12, 2011
Jason123,

You are still resorting to personal insults instead of discussing the fact on ground.

Whether you like it or not the facts here for all to see.

Even my aunt who married a yoruba and lived with him in the UK for 30 years came back to visit us in 2009 only to be  rubbed of all her belongings

including all the gifts she bought for us from london, just a day before she left for Enugu.

Every body down home read this as a belief of yorubas that it is better to steal these gifts in yoruba land than allow this Igbo woman to take these gifts back to igbo land.

Also, stop killing yourself, I have since left Lagos and moved to Abuja.

Atleast the average Hausa man keeps his promises.
Politics / Re: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by dondavids: 1:28am On Apr 12, 2011
ACN's Political Master Plan in Anambra State

Being a keen observer of politics in the South East, These are my personal calculations of ACN's political plan in the south East.

ACN capitalized on APGA's failure to adopt Ngige as either their Gubernatorian or Senotarian candidate, to draft a master plan that might eventually lead to the total domination of Anambra state and perhaps Igbo land by the yorubas through ACN.

1. Get Ngige Elected as a Senator, as a result of peoples blind love and respect for him as an honest person.

2. Get him elected as a Governor while still serving in the senate. Capitalizing or his ever growing popularity.

3. Enthrone ACN government and yoruba domination on the core of Igbo land.

4. Expand to other South East states.

5. Before these villagers realise what they have done, it will be too late, cos Tinubu will be poping champagne in Igbo soil.

Be wise, before it is to late.

The only reason people at nairaland are busy calling Dora Akunyili and Peter Obi Names are not because they love Ngige or because they love free and fair elections.

It is simply because of what Ngiges's victory will signify.

True South East people should do everything to prevent this, before it is too late.

A word is enough for the wise.
Politics / Re: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by dondavids: 1:06am On Apr 12, 2011
Jason 123 and Alj Uche why do you guys always resort to insults inorder to stress your opinions?

The beauty of Democracy is that everyone has the freedom to express himself or herself without fear.

The truth is that no yoruba man no matter how qualified, will win an election in the south west as long as he is in an Igbo party. This will tell you

how much yorubas despise Igbo people when it comes to politics and employment.

During my youth service days in Lagos state, I experienced yoruba hatred first hand, when after promising me a metrited participation in the last

national sports festival, the yoruba woman in charge with whom I and 5 other guys were in good talking terms with, were suprisingly replaced in

the list with 5 other yoruba people who are not even graduates, less than 24 hours before the commencement of the sports festival.

When we protested, they started cursing us in their language. They further punished us by making sure that they did not pay our last NYSC monthly allowance.

Before that Incident, I used to believe in seeing the good in people, but after that experience, I have been more skeptical.

Instead of me to support a yoruba party like ACN, I will support PDP, which Is a True National Party.

If Ngige joins APGA or PDP, I will definitely vote for him.

Tinubu is possing like another Awolowo and as a result, their is no way that he can have the best interest of the South East at heart.

So you guys can curse as much as you wish, the truth is that I can not vote for a yoruba party unless they publically apologize to the Igbos

for their sins in 1967-1970

Food for Thought.
Politics / Re: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by dondavids: 9:39pm On Apr 11, 2011
Ngige is a good man, but he made a big mistake when he decided to join a yoruba party, knowing fully well that the cunning and deceitful attitude of
the yorubas especially Awolowo is the main reason why Igbo's lost the civil war in 1970 and why the Igbos are still suffering today in a country that they helped to gain independence from Britain. I don't want to see Tinubu boast about conquering Igboland. Ngige should leave ACN now, if he wants to win future elections in Anambra State.
How many senatorial seats did Apga or PPA win in the south west. This will show you that the average yoruba man hates every Igbo man. The truth is this, despite my strong support for GEJ, I will honestly state that I will prefer to do business any day with an Hausa man than a Yoruba man, cos yorubas are the most dishonest people on the face of planet earth.

Tinubu is going about decieving people that If they vote ACN, their state will be developed as Lagos was developed by Fashola, but was it not the same Tinubu that almost chased Fashola out ACN not too long ago. The truth is that I don't trust ACN as a party, a good man like Ngige should not have joined a party of Rascals like ACN. I just pity all these people that voted ACN simply because of Fashola's personal achievements in Lagos state, in 4 years time, they really begin to understand why GEJ called ACN leaders (minus Fashola) Rascals.

Fashola is a good man, a progressive and an achiever and people will follow him where ever he goes, and I assure you that If he comes out for president in 2019 under a new party, people will still vote for him. ACN is not Fashola, cos Fashola is much better than every other ACN politican put together. Ngige should leave ACN before he further degraces Igboland.
Politics / Re: Why You'll Never Vote For Muhammadu Buhari? by dondavids: 3:22am On Apr 06, 2011
Hi,

I got this write up about Buhari from Encycopaeedia Britannica

Muhammad also spelled  Muhammadu
born December 17, 1942, Daura, Nigeria

Nigerian military leader, who served as head of state (1985).

Educated largely in Katsina, Buhari took military training in Kaduna as well as Great Britain, India, and the United States. He was involved in the military coup that ousted Yakubu Gowon in 1975 and was appointed military governor of North Eastern state (now Borno) that same year. He was appointed federal commissioner for petroleum resources by General Olusegun Obasanjo, who became military head of state when Gowon's successor, Murtala Mohammed, was assassinated in 1976. By 1977 Buhari had become the military secretary at Supreme Military Headquarters, which was the seat of government. By September 1979 he had returned to regular army duties and commanded a division based in Kaduna. Although elected government had returned to Nigeria in 1979, military dissatisfaction with what it perceived as corrupt politicians led to another military coup on December 31, 1984; Buhari was chosen unanimously to be the new head of state.

Insurmountable economic problems plagued the Buhari regime as petroleum prices collapsed in the face of expanding foreign debt.

"Buhari instituted austerity measures that caused severe hardship to the average Nigerian. In addition, political corruption continued unabated, with politicians escaping to Western countries with millions of dollars in government money. In an effort to stop dissension, Buhari instituted restrictions on the press, political freedoms, and trade unionists. By August 1985 even the military had had enough, and Ibrahim Babangida took control of the government. "

Buhari was detained in Benin City but was released at the end of 1988. In 2003 Buhari ran for president; he was defeated by the incumbent, Olusegun Obasanjo of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Buhari ran again in 2007 but was defeated by the PDP's candidate, Umaru Yar'Adua, in an election that was strongly criticized by international observers as being marred by voting irregularities.

It is True that Nigerians suffer from short memory, but is that an excuse to vote for someone like Buhari?, Nah I don't think so.

No press freedom, No Political freedom, No freedom of anything and finally, Total Islamaization of Nigeria and complete Enthronment of S-H-A-R-I-A.

I dey Laugh,

OBJ made Ribadu what he is today. If Ribadu is really honest, why didn't he accept it when he was demoted to post of assistant police commissioner where he rightly belongs. Instead, he fought to retain an unjustified position of AIG which he doesnot even merit.
Yet he claims that he is not corrupt.

Na your grandfather you wan deceive!

Vote GEJ 2011 and see the end of Nigeria as a Nation!

BB2011 FOR THE SAKE OF OUR CHILDREN AND OUR CHILDREN CHILDREN!

You got it all wrong, the only time Nigeria will cease to exist as a nation is if GEJ fails to win. At the moment, there is peace in the Niger Delta because of him and at the moment, Nigeria's crude oil production have quadrupled from about 650,000 barrels per day to over 2.5 million today and yet you northerners fail to see anything good about GEJ simply because he is not from the north. Even the armnesty program present today is because of OBJ and Jonathan and not even Yardua. If Jonathan loses this election, What do you think will happen in to the peace in the Niger delta.

If you hat GEJ so much, let me ask you this question, are past northern leaders like IBB, Shagari, Gowon, Abacha, Abdulsalami, Yardua and even Buhari better than GEJ. I don't think so.

I believe that the only reason you are supporting a Buhari is because you are from the north.

I have 2 main problems with Buhari.

1. How can he say he is anti corruption, when he took 93% of all PTF monies made available to him to develop only the north west, neglecting even the south south that has the oil. This is the same thing as when someone comes into you farm land and begins to harvest your yams and cassava for his own personal use. This is Stealing, but I know you won't see this because of your blind followership to Buhari.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-631710.0.html

2. He is a Sharia Fanatic.
If he likes, let him claim that he will jail all the corrupt past leaders of Nigeria if he wins. The truth is this. What use will this anti corruption be to free thinking and free minded people like me if Buhari introduces sharia in this country and ends up taking away my fundamental human rights of free speech and free interaction from me.

Even the Arab world is presently revolting against the poverty lack of freedom and total backwardness brought about by oppressive laws such as Sharia.

We don't need that kind of law in this country.

If you love Buhari this much, then let him Rule you and your family members.

Nigerian be wise, the reason why the west is superior in technology and military power when compared to the Arab world is because of sharia law.

Sharia law denies people their freedom of assosiation and encourages only the study of Koran. How can anyone develop science, arts and technology if he only reads the Koran morning afternoon and night. This is the main reason why there are alot of uneducated poor people in northern Nigeria. The only real hope for survival for northerners is because of the oil present in the Niger Delta and this is why they want to continue ruling us, so that they will using our oil money to develop their areas, while keeping their people in the dark, by restricting them with Sharia law.
You guys show go to school and acquire real knowledge and stop telling us that Education is Sin.

First of all, I will like to correct this misconception in Nairaland. GEJ have only ruled for 12 months and not 12 years.

Anything GEJ said about IBB is just politics. Remember that when you have alot of enermies, you have to bring some of them closer.

You will see if GEJ will support a corrupt IBB after this election or not.

Association with the likes of Ikedi Ohakim and T A Orji are just political, these guys stole their states blind. After the elections. I doubt if Goodluck will still accomodate these corrupt governors.

If GEJ bowed to Obama. It is out of respect so wise up.

Why do you northerners keep calling GEJ a mediocre. Tell me which past northern leader smelled a PHD from 100 miles.

Guy, stop deluding yourself. Buhari can never never win.

If he wins then, I will support the division of Nigeria just like Sudan did.

For me a lover of sharia can Never rule over me.
Politics / Solid Reasons Why Goodluck Jonathan Will Win This 2011 Presidential Election by dondavids: 11:40pm On Mar 29, 2011
Focus on One Nigeria

He is the only candidate who is talking about the unity of Nigeria even though in my own opinion, he should not, considering that the oil comes from his area.

Equitable Development Of All Parts Of Nigeria

All the other past northen presidents and heads of states including Buhari have stolen Nigeria's money and developed only their area.
GEJ is different. He wants everyone to benefit equally

Focus on Women Empoyment via 35% Affirmative Action for women

This is a good move especially when you consider that there are naturally more women in Nigeria than men. If you doubt this, just look around you.

Focus on The Youth : Increased Funding For Universities and Building Of More Universities

Nigeria population is made up of 70% of young People. If you can win over the youth, you have already won the election.

Cool and Calm Approach To Issues:

GEJ has been able to keep calm about alot of issues that would have cause serious unrest in the nation. He has successfully managed alot of crises situations.
The only times he made mistakes was when he called ACN leaders Rascals and When he was in a hurry to defend MEND. But even that issue can be excused for the simple reason that though MEND was responsible, it was the Rouge part of MEND and not the repented part of MEND who were responsible for the Independence day bombing in Abuja.

Apart from these 2 hasty utterances, GEJ has largely remained cool and calm

I know some people will argue that he did nothing about the Jos crisis and Boko Harem issue.

My question is this, why should he do anything about it when it is obvious that it is the Northern leaders who are sponsoring these crisis and bomb blasts so as to discredit GEJ. Let them clean up their own mess

Lots of People believe he is God sent:

Considering how he came to power without contesting a single election, He is definitely Blessed.
Who else do you know that have managed to pull that off.

More Freedom of Speech for Everybody

Ever since GEJ became president, everybody have been able to speak his or her mind without any fear whatsoever. People even insult GEJ openly in National TV and no one has been arrested.
Can you insult Buhari or Abacha and get away with it, I don't think so.

A believable and workable Electric Power Plan

All the other contestants speak of how they will improve electricity generation, without mentioning how they will do it. A man without a plan has already failed.

Too Many Northern Presidential Aspirants

How does the north want to win when then cannot even unite.

I think I know the Answer. - The North West always want power just for the sack of power.
Also the North as a whole believes that they are Born To Rule.

PDP's Nationwide reach and political structures.

12 years of power has made sure that PDP can easily install anyone as president. whether they win the Governorship in that state or not. Remember that alot of people are poor and hungry, so to win, all pdp need to do is to make it worthwhile for their supporters on election day and believe me PDP has alot of supporters in each state.

Love and Respect By the International Community

For the first time in the nation's history, Nigeria is enjoying some much good will from eveywhere, simply because of Goodluck.

His is also the first president of Nigeria in along time to speak good English in CNN without saying "ENSHUARE and ASHUARE"

Issue Based Politics.

Goodluck has focused on issues through out his campaigns without insulting anybody.

ACN and CPC have been going around insulting GEJ and the PDP without really proffering better solutions to the nations problems.

ACN people claim that Fashola did well in lagos. Yes this is true but let them tell me which other ACN Governor did well in the state his is Governing.

ACN's campaigns are all based on Fashola's Personal achievements in Lagos. His achievements are personal because he, as person believes in transformation. What did Tinubu achieve during his tenure as governor? Is it not the same Tinubu that almost chased Fashola out of ACN.

Also, you guys always call all PDP governors, thieves. What about the massive developments brought to Enugu and Akwaibom by Sullivan Chime and Godswill Akpabio.

Buhari on the other hand is an ethnic bigot who will only develop the northwest with oil money from the south south, just the same way he did during his time in the PTDF.

ACN's choice of 2 Muslin Candidates for President and VP

In a country with equal number of christians and Muslins, a muslin muslin ticket is a Big mistake. See what is happening in Parkitan, when every law they make goes against christians and the few christians in the government that speak against these laws are quickly murdered.

The Fear of Sharia,

Every muslim leader always believes that sharia law is the answer to our problems, but the revolts in Tunisia, Egypt and Lybia etc have shown that Sharia is not the answer to anything, since these muslin leaders use sharia law to oppress the masses, keep them quiet and enlongate their rule while their children go ahead and enjoy life with reckless abandon. Even our thriving Entertainment Industry will be closed down once Buhari introduces Sharia,  I believe that christrians who are supporting Buhari are not really thinking straight. I used to like Ribadu and I still like Ribadu because his is young and modern, but I wouldn't vote ACN in the presidential election because their is no Christian to keep Ribadu in check if he wakes up one day and decides to partner with Iran and turn Nigeria into a full Muslin Country. Muslins are always in a hurry to defend their religion but they never respect other peoples religion and this is the reason why they are in a hurry to burn churches, kill Igbos and kill Christians. So any party who tells me to vote for a Muslin Muslin candidate is a Commedian.

Why should I vote for someone like Buhari who may cut of my hands and legs one day. Sharia is simply Jungle Justice in the 21st century and Buhari likes this animalistic system of justice.

Instead of Buhari to rule Nigeria, then let us divide this country into 3 and let every one rule himself.

So you see, The Game is already over

Family / Re: She Left Me After My Effort With My Kid by dondavids: 4:44pm On Mar 20, 2011
Hi mr chemist,

Firstly, I felt sad after reading about what a woman you loved married and had only good intentions for did to you.

Please take heart and find away to get past her cruelty and move on with your life.

Secondly, I must let you know that I am not at all surprised by her actions.

You see, women are very selfish people. Their love for men is very conditional.

A woman can love you for the following reasons;

1. If you are very good with words

2. If you are rich or atleast more comfortable than she is.

3. If associating with you will increase her status and offer her what she does not have.

4. If her friends like you.

5. if her people (family) likes you.

6. If you will soon be rich.

7. If you know how to always make her laugh ( This is not as easy as you think)

99% of the time when a boy asks a girl out, they always tell us, "I will think about it"

What are they thinking about?,

They always want to discuss you with their friends to see what they will gain from you and if after checking you out and they find that you don't have what they need, the way there will reject you, you will only pity yourself.

But if you have any of the above qualities, she will agree to go out with you and you will think that she loves you for who you are, but most times, girls love you for what they can get from you.

If somewhere along the line, you are no longer able to do those things that she agreed to stay with you because of, she will quickly find someone else.

Women don't marry for love, they marry for convinience.

Most Men marry for lust.

Some men like you marry for love. (Big Mistake)

How can you love someone who has to calculate alot of things (personal gains) before saying yes.

There is no "better for worse" for women in marriage but you won't know this because we have very high family and traditional values in Nigeria.

One of the 48 laws of power by Robert Greene states,"Never teach a person so much, that he or she will not need you anymore"

Another law states, "when dealing with people, appeal to their self interest, and not their gratitude"

So as painful as what your wife did to you is, you caused it by over empowering her and adding salt to injury by sending her to USA, the land of

"Gender Equality Madness". See the result now.

Now you know that women with their emotions are just like fire, good servants but very very bad masters.

My advice to you is

1 Find a way to get her back to Nigeria, take your child and send her away. If she can do what she did to you then she does not love you at all.

2. Find your self another wife, but know this, women don't like other women's kids, so be careful.

3. Just treat women nice but never love them, cos they will break your heart and won't give a damn.

4. If you fall in love, you fall asleep and when this happens, you do things you will regret.

5. Move on with your life and better yourself.

Remember, life ain't FAIR

Alj Uche, you said this,

"i believe you know nothing about nigeria and the quote of contribution being made by group

without the north, you would have no rice, cotton, corn, pepper, meat, goat, cow, ginger, galic, tomatoes even wheat that you southerners use for your bread is from the north

so when you talk of feeding us you are making no sense"

The truth is that the north doesn't give away these food items to other parts of Nigeria as gifts, they sell these food items to the rest of us and put the money in their own personal pockets. They never bring the monies they make to the Nigerian National Treasury for the 36 states to benefit from.

So if you guys stop providing the south with food items, the south will quickly find other sources, as long as there is crude oil money, food will never be our problem.

Also you guys should know that OBJ is not a fool. You guys can come here, to open your mouths and say what ever you wish, but know this, OBJ is the DON who is in control of this nation and if other political parties seem to be gaining popularity, it is simply because He allowed it.

I promise you guys that when he decides to act, none of you will be able to do anything what so ever.

The northerners believe that Nigeria belongs to them alone when they don't have anything to offer apart from threats, violence and bomb blasts, we shall see who will laugh last this time around.

Remember that in Nigeria, the Presidency is very powerful and who ever controls it, controls everything.

Now the south is in charge and you guys have no choice but to take your "Born To Rule Attitude" and sholve it in your ashes.

GEJ maybe quiet but he is definitely not stupid. Go and ask Atiku what happened to him after running his mouth.

Normally, I stay away from political topics, but after observing how nairalands are divided on issues concerning the political ambitions of GEJ, Buhari and Ribadu.

I have just a few very important questions to ask.

Where will Nigeria be without Crude Oil?

Is it fair that the region that produces all the oil money they every Nigerian enjoys can never be allowed to produce a president for Just 4 years.

It is fair that the north produced more presidents and ruled this country more years than other regions in Nigeria even when they have nothing to offer Nigeria in terms of external revenue.

Is it also fair that it is just now that GEJ is in power that SouthEast and South South Roads are being renovated after more 50 years of Nigerian Independence.

The Northerners complain about GEJ not sticking with the Zoning arrangement, but let me ask you guys a question, why didn't the north complain when they were busy producing president after president and head of state after head of state.

You people say that the south has ruled 8 years. This is true. But IBB ruled 8 years after removing Buhari and then stepped aside for Abacha who then ruled 5 years and Abdulsalami took over and ruled 6 months before handing over to OBJ.

For me, IBBs 8 years = OBJs 8 years. Let's forget the years ruled by Shagari, Gowon etc.

The truth is that it is the south that have been mostly cheated in Nigeria despite the oil present in the Niger Delta.

It's also obvious that the North wants to keep ruling even when their leaders never ever achieve anything useful for Nigeria.

You all must agree that Nigeria's international image have greatly improved ever since goodluck became president.

You guys say that Buhari is better, but what if buhari , considering his hardline views on issues, turns out to become like Gaddafi, what will you guys do.

For once, Nigeria has a civilized and educated president and vice president who mean well for this country and yet you guys are in a hurry

to write them off because they are from the PDP.

Even if Buhari or Ribadu wins, how can they force the senate and house of rep to pass laws that they want without adopting Gaddafi tactics.

What will happen to the peace in the Niger Delta if GEJ loses in April.

Can Nigeria survive without oil and will the north still be interested in one Nigeria without the oil.

Finally you northerns complain about being cheated out of a zoning arrangement when in truth you guys have enjoyed the wealth of this country alot more than even the region that produces this wealth.

If you guys want zoning, them lets make it constitutional, where each of the six geo political zones in Nigeria produces a president after 4 years.

Anything apart from this, is WRONG.

My verdict is this, if Goodluck wins, there will be choas in the north and if Goodluck loses, there will be chaos in the Niger Delta and this will lead to

destruction of Nigeria's source of wealth - OIL.

If this happens and Nigeria becomes Broke and your salaries and parent's salaries are no longer paid, what will happen then.

So I say this to all the Northerners and ACN supporters, let the south south produce a president for the first time in their history.

I believe they have paid their dues to the Nigerian nation and as such deserve this.

GEJ still remains the Best choice for Nigeria at least for Now.

This is to all you Barca fans who are making noise about Barca's 76% Ball possession.

Ball possession is not the only way a team can win a match.

Italy has won 4 world cups based on strong and disciplined defensive play.

Greece won the European Cup Playing only Defence and scoring once in a while.

Chelsea coached by Guus Hidinnk Almost won Barca Using Excellent Defensive Tactics, if not for the referee's blunt refusal to award any of the numerous legitimate penalties. At a point during that match Pep Guardiola even conceded defeat and went over to congratulate Guus Hidinnk During that encounter at stamford bridge.

Mourinho knocked out barcelona last season using strong defensive play and good counter attacking football, though he lost five nil with an undesciplined Madrid side, He have proven that he knows how to win barca, remember chelsea 4-2 defeat of barca at stamford bridge.

Ajax in 1996 lost to Juventus in the UCL final despite playing beautiful possession football because Juventus muscled them off the ball
during 120 mins and outplayed in the penalty shootout.

Yes Barca plays possession football, good for them but a good counter attacking team with speedy forward line and strong defence can easily

defeat barca anytime any day.

Possession football is good, but so is defensive football and conter attacking football.

Arsenal played defensive football during the fisrt half, then switched over to 433 before the referee had an epiphany to kill the game for arsenal.

Had the referee left 11 men on the pitch for both teams, Arsenal would have won the match even without many shots on target.

The truth that Barca fans are not telling anyone is that their defence was very weak yesterday. the few times that Arsenal attacked them, their

make shift defense was grasping for straws. In their confused state, they even scored any own goal. Only a disorganed defense scores own goals.

If Van Persie wasn't taken off by the referee, he would have defintely destroyed the already weak barca defense, especially in the second half when arsenal decided to come out and play attacking football.

Barca had all their attackers fit, if Walcott was fit, did his fast dribble runs on barcas weak defense, the story would have been differnt.

Barca may have won but they are not undefeatable.

A team like Shankter Donesk with their 3 free scoring brazilian attackers or Even Tottemham with speedsters Bale and Lennon will definitely give

Barca fans lots of nightmare, so you guys should enjoy now you shall all cry later.

Football is not a perfect sport, having said this, a matured and neutral referee knows that football is a passionate and an emotional sport.
If a player is sent off at the wrong time or if a penalty kick is awarded at the wrong time, this can be a match killer.
The reason why barca fans are rejoicing tonight is because all these baised officiating when in their favour. I will wait to see what their reaction will be the time a referee will be biased against barca. I believe not all referees will be happy to compromise their integrity inorder to assist barca win a game unfairly.
When that day comes, I will be here to remind you guys of today. As for now, enjoy your stolen UCL Quater Finals ticket while it lasts.
People only say the truth when it affects them, but when it affect another person, they just act as if nothing wrong happened.
I wish you guys will get a fixture with Shanktar Donesk lets see if Barcelona is as good as you guys believe.

I rest my case.

Listen here sicily4u,

The penalty against Man U was a penalty. A chelsea player with a chance on goal was impeded.

The only real mistake the referee made was not giving David Luis a red card for the foul on Wayne Rooney,

Having said this, todays game was a high profile UEFA champions League Knock out game and not an ordinary league match where a team gets another chance to bounce back with other matches. The referee ought to have been matured and neutral. I believe other teams are watching and Barcelona's days are numbered. They may have gotten away today but even I spotted so ways any good coach can exploit to win barcelona. I promise you, you will still cry before the end of this years UCL.  Nothing stolen lasts for ever

Finally, The fact that you are still supporting injustice means that you are simply a scumbag and I have reserved the remaining high tension wire for you to hug and a bottle of kerosene for you to drink.

Peace out

This Message is for Crude Oil and sicily4u and any Barcelona fan that dares attempt to sweep today injustice over Arsenal and English football under the carpet.

You guys are the reason why Nigeria will never progress. Until people like you guys stop this win at all cost mentality. Until you guys learn to speak against

injustice even if it was done your favour, Nigeria will continue to lag behind even will all our oil money.

God forbid bad thing if people with flexible conscience like you guys find yourselves in leadership positions in this country, then we are all finished.

Hi,

Let's get something straight, I am a chelsea fan.

Secondly, all barcelona fans in this forum who are rejoicing for winning against 10 man arsenal even when it is so obvious that they were cheated should all be ashamed of yourselves. You guys call yourself the best team in the world but when the chips are down, you guys rely on the referee and UEFA Board Room politics to win matches against any team that really really challenges barcelona.

Lots and lots of people watch these matches around the world because they believe that it offers the best in facilities, talent, officiating and fair play,
but now that it is becoming obvious that the officiating against any strong team playing against barca will be anything but free and fair, I think people should rise up with one voice and condemn this evil.
Not too long ago, this kind of injustice happened against chelsea, Drogba and Ballack complained and they were punished so as to shut them up and sweep the injustice under the carpet. Now it has happened to arsenal. Man U may be next. A friend of mind said that UEFA makes alot of money whenever barca is playing. Even if this is true, does it give them the right to cheat so as to keep barca from losing a tough match. Barca may have skillful players and a wonderful way of playing football, but tonight, Arsene Wenger got his tactics and formation spot on for both the first and second halves.

If only the referee have been neutral and allowed the game to play out normally,  Arsenal would have definitely won this match.

Just imagine if another referee gave Messi red card in this match, Barca would have been finished. The removal of Van Persie who was Arsenal most potent attacking force for no real reason, killed the game for arsenal.

I now urge all Arsenal fans, Arsene Wenger, The English FA to rise up and condemn this Injustice, so as to prevent it from ever repeating itself. If they fail to do so , Then English teams will continue to be cheated whenever they play Barcelona. If English Teams pull out of the champions League, the competition will definitely lose its glamour and UEFA will only have themselves to blame for this.

Finally, Barcelona plays beautiful football, the kind of football I will love to see chelsea play, and seriously speeaking I don't mind when they play fair and win, But it really pisses me off when they cheat to win, simply because they want to win all the time.

Football is a passionate game for alot of people because it preaches fair play, but what is the point playing or even watching it when you already know

that no matter how hard or how well you play, will lose because you will be cheated by Barcelona and UEFA
