BAZ001: Oh so u don change mouth ? Recent developments dey do wonders ooh.
if you are sick as office staff you have sick leave and get paid full salary at month end. Ur bros broke down for only 2weeks sapa hold am he had to take bus to oshodi. unforeseen situations affects all jobs but in dis hustle it can stop your earning and eat part of your savings.
Na jeje we dey here when he brought gun blazing that he will post dashboard and if you don’t like it bla bla bla. Remember I said I’m indifferent but he must be consistent in posting dashboards, cause then we will know the reality of the job. He was busy shooting and cursing everybody that dashboards will shut us up and change narratives. He had a bad week (unforeseen) which is normal in this hustle Sorry rehab vacation and tried to hide it,
Why ?
I only co-asked for dashboard so our mouth can remain shut. He went crazy. You post good days but ashamed to post bad days. My dear brother. Please leave the dead to bury themselves.

FuckEveryday: Well, this is how it works in the abroad...If you think you can make the cool money "easily" in Nigeria, y'all can continue arguing like Feli n D Gang.
The UberEats n DoordDash delivery driver I watch on YouTube has been on vacation in Dubai for almost 3weeks now...All from his delivery Job.
Mind you, they term vacation "necessary" every year...so it's not his first time. Now tell me How many Uber drivers here can conveniently travel for vacation in Ghana sef, talkless of Dubai for a week
I'm not talking about Lekki Conservation center vacation
Driving is fun for me, but driving here is Hell Well... It will interest you to know that one of our very own is presently on vacation for over 2weeks now. just like the guy in Dubai, it's also from his proceed from driving on Bolt. It might even be same Dubai that his also vacating as we speak. Who told you that someone making over 1million a month can't sponsor his vacation to any country in the world? No underrate us again.

geezyk: Like someone said earlier on this thread, no do follow follow, no follow bandwagon, as a newbie, the posting of dashboards will always entice you to come into the hustle, but the question remains, "your body fit allow you?" No one is impervious to sickness, and no one is immune to fatigue.
Using me as an example, a friend of mine introduced me to the hustle, during one of our meetings, baba came almost late cos he was looking for a trip to the meeting location, showed what he made already for the day, na werin push me enter the game be that, forgetting he has a passion for driving.
Within 2 months I don get car say make I begin hustle, but my body told me otherwise, knee pains, waist pains, eye pain due to strain, I wasn't built like he was, now my mentor with a passion for driving don dey advise me to shey jeje.
The crux of the matter is that do what works for you, it was when I started driving bolt that I realized I had no passion for driving 3-4 hrs straight, na just normal cruise driving i like
Posting dashboards no dey motivate me anymore as I don sabi say our body different from each other, and again, body no be firewood. We all deserve rest. Calm down oga. Driving is the easiest job on this earth. It has no side effect and leads to no known health hazard. Just seat in your car, under cool and chilling A/C and be making your cool money.

Crvrider: Don't mind me bro, was only just being sarcastic. My take really on this issue is that if drivers in Lagos and as far as owerri are doing this then something must be working for them.
Pearl has argued from the point of view of distance covered but failed to also factor in the fact that the app companies may have also considered that drivers may also forget to start a trip from pickup location. Its a program, so they will be alot of if...elseif to consider.
However, to ease tension on this argument, for those who drive on the bolt platform can stylishly ask and see what their response will be. If you click arrived at a pickup location and driver about 300meters away from than PU, bolt app automatically pops up, telling you that you've moved for more than 300meters from pickup with two options. 1) start trip. 2) waiting for rider. If you click start trip, it'll surely factor in the distance you've covered before starting the trip. I don't know what some people are defending. |

Real and zealous Uber/bolt drivers amongst us set a 1m gross target per month from September till December.
I've been hoping to gain motivation from the 1m dashboard when it eventually lands. But September has gone and October is almost half, but the motivation didn't come through for me.
Let me drop my own while I wait for the real hustlers to come through for me with the right motivation/dashboard.
September was good though.

Pearl1910: Early last year, there was no paid waiting. Was there??
Ur story get k leg. If u were pursuing bonus u wouldnt go on long distance trip. U will be doing sort short trips.
Why did u wait till getting to Lekki to start trip?, U should start and end the trip shortly after so it will count for u as a short trip, low fare, meaning low commission deducted.
Why will u negotiate 4k when u can get more online. And u still allowed trip to be reading till u got to Chisco
Too many questions unanswered. In any case that may have been possible early last year when Bolt App was still unstable. Well... I don't know if your insinuation is that I'm lying. Rider delayed a bit before coming out, and I forgot to start the trip immediately we left to end later. When I realized that I haven't started the trip, it's already about 15mins paid waiting. I then decided to do that when I'm close to destination. That trip was without surge, and it lasted less than 1hr cos it was late in the night and Road was damn free. When I checked the estimate on rider's app, it was 3.6k to 4.2k and we settled for 4k. If I had gone online, what will enter my pocket may be. Less than 3k after commission. I believe it was the paid waiting of almost 50mins that made it quite higher than the estimated price. It was a weekend campaign (Friday & Saturday). So I still have the next day to complete my quest. The trip still counted for the campaign bonus, even though I ended with trip did not happen. By the way, what made you believe that Bolt's app is without fault now? Why do you think they've corrected all the bugs in it all these while? |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by donfortune48(m): 9:09am On Oct 07, 2021 |
IFSHR: Felicity, I beg to differ with that part I highlighted, bolt don't calculate the estimated km, they calculate the actual kilometer covered... Judging from your postulate, are you saying if a driver picks someone at point A going to point B and the rider introduced a point C and D, before arriving to point B, the app will only calculate the estimated km for point A to Point B ?, False..... Bolt app calculate the actual km covered, any idiot driver that starts a trips minutes after picking up a rider is only undermining his earnings, if he thinks he is beefing up paid waiting, as the trip km covered only starts when he starts the ride.
I don't support fraud and cheating, but some of this rider won't come out clean on how they delayed the driver as well. I once got a request (early last year) from Akowonjo to lekki(Piccadilly suites). Around 9:30pm. I picked up rider and negotiated offline with her (4k). But I was chasing weekend bonus and wanted to start and end the trip after driving for few minutes. So I left it on paid waiting. I didn't start the trip till I got to Chisco bus stop (4th round about) with about 45mins paid waiting and ended it just after making a U-turn at Igbo efun, hoping to see #800 but saw 4,700. I had to review the trip with trip did not happen. |

Olayetan: Yeah I was...
My guy, before you judge me for maximizing my earnings, judge yourself.
I didn't kill or commit criminal offense, I only use my head to make more profit for myself and that's just pure business, yes, morally it's not good but what's the difference btw danfo drivers that picked up different passenger going same direction.
Abeg bro, before you condemn me, I'm just a person who make a whole out of opportunity.. It doesn't come everytime but when it does, I utilize it to my favor...
I've admitted it was wrong but since both passenger felt safe in my hand and with each other then I see no big deal in it, I only gambled it and I won, If they don't feel comfortable with it, I wouldn't force them, I would honor 1 and leave the other... If you have an opportunity to loot Nigeria, you'll do more than Tinubu. |

Olayetan: When you see opportunity, make a whole out it.
There's nothing bad in what I did, it's just you maximizing your profit.
I do this everytime I have the opportunity.
There was a time I was heading home from ajao estate to mushin to rest cux I was already tired, it was 4pm in the afternoon, suddenly, a request came in within ajao to sangotedo, I was contemplating on whether to honor it or not then the rider called me and said I will be picking up package from flight logistics, na so I happy o.
You won't believe I started the trip and went home then rested for an hour and Waited for a trip on indriver going same direction and I got alesh hotel from yabatech for 4k.
I quickly accepted the price ND drove to rider, that's after I've rested for about an hour at home.
Bolt rider didn't even care to call me, I dropped indriver rider and took bolt rider package to her and her trip ended on 8500 plus the 4k from indriver, that's 12500 on a single trip.
Then God now buttered my bread, just few streets away in that sangotedo, I got another trip on indriver going to surulere for 4700, I quickly accepted to close work for the day... You sound terrible bro. |
