hopefullight: Felicity and other greedy, entitled driver come and comment on this.
Two years ago he was paying 35k conveniently to owners. Unlike arrogant, lazy and greedy drivers here. When people say that agreement is agreement, the image below comes to my mind. Why will you rent a car, rough handle it and bring to the owner to fix? The fact that car owners take responsibility in fixing the car, simply means that how much you make using that said car should concern them. No one should compare this with house rent and Landlords. The more hrs you spend online making more money, the more likely it is for the car to brake down. And the owner takes responsibility of repairing it from the fixed rental amount while you're smiling with more money in your account. My own advice to car owners is to find a way to make drivers solely responsible for repairs. Even if it means collecting only 20k/week rental. And before the driver drops the car, he must fix and repaint the car back to the condition it was when he rented it.

Apart from Nov/Dec, there have never been a time drivers were grossing over 200k a week. But there were times drivers were remitting 40k a week on e-hailing.
This year seem to be the highest earnings year on Uber/bolt. And this year is also the yr with least rental fee for partners. (covid period exclusive).
Even Jesusson that was an ant driver here 2yrs ago never made 100k net a week and he was on rental 35k/week. He never made over 20k net per day, yet he was paying 35k/week rent judiciously.
He narrated his earnings here that time. He pays car owner 5k/day and saves 3k/day for himself.
Mind you, a toks corolla was less than 1.5m that time and car parts were far cheaper then to compare with now.
So I really don't know why the hate over car owners now and the inconsiderate attack we're metting on them now.
This is what I wanted to confirm from veteran Gazzuzz. But seems he doesn't want to get involved.
Below is some of Jesusson's posts 2yrs ago. And he was the president of Ants drivers association.

kanuisagoat: You don't get, the analogy was only meant to show that bearing the risk does not translate to you making more money.
He says the driver bears all the risk and should earn more money. This is because he's only looking at the physical risk but I don't see it that way. The partner invested 100% of the money and is bearing the financial risk.
Sometimes I even wonder how this 30k weekly was arrived at. Who did the calculations and how did we get here because I know how much I make a week and it has never made any sense to me especially with the partner doing all the repairs. Don't get me started on 25k Congratulations @Dru23. Finally your challenge have paid off. You can now officially increase your rent to a suitable amount with what's obtainable on the streets. |

Even if he sees dashboard of 300k a week. This is what brought it back sir. DonnyE: I am really surprised that alot of guys here boost of making over 30k a day here, how come 25k remittance to car owners is recommended? Meaning the owner of the car of 2.5M is only getting one day of work. Or it's not possible to make over 25k a day? It doesn't seem fair to car owners. |

If a driver works hard, saves and is determined to buy a car, he will buy it.
This is the basic formula, Baba mi
If he likes he should drive the partner's car at 20km/h, avoid flooded areas and bad road. If he doesn't save up and is determined to own his own car, he will not achieve it.
[/color] Your view is logical bro. His view is religious. Both of you have valid points from your individual angles. Make una no use this one derail the thread. |

Partners contributed money and gave civic23 to use as bait(sugar) to lure drivers(ants) to post dashboard and they fell for it. Now partners have seen the money they're making and are seriously deliberating on increasing rental fee, and some people are sweating already. I support 50k rental a week abeg. After all that's what moove's HP drivers are paying and they're still taking care of their families. Any partner wey no wan wise up na OYO be im case.

Felicity0001: Mind you, yours inclusive, so maybe using yours as a yard stick remittance should be 8k weekly... Lol
As for me the only time I made 120k net was during the era of 3% after 20 trips on Uber... Even with this bolt daily bonus of 2k after 10 trips I'm still struggling to net 100k weekly. Now I'm being frank here... Net oh I said not gross... The highest I've done recently a day on bolt is 25/27k I supposed which took about 11-12hrs online for me... Now after that long hrs driving do you expect or think same person can still do same hrs the next day and the next day? When I no be robot.
Now, yesterday I didn't go out at all due to the traffic that dealt with me on Friday I got home drilled out, after 1am I entered house...was only able to do 3 trips on that very day Friday... Mind you Tuesdays are my resting days so I didn't work ... This is the reality many will not come out openly to say but as for me I'll always stand by the truth.
Look at the experience BAZ001 just shared... Would an owner prefer rent at 45k weekly and get hus car destroyed after a month or do 25k and let the driver work and have adequate rest and his car last longer? Which would one prefer?
30k to me for a single man is still now bad because you cant compare a single dude with a married man but 30k for a married man to me? Is a big No! Take it or leave it!
Lastly, anyone that wants to rent @60k, 35k per week or wants a deposit its up to that person after all no be help the person buy motor. When they were posting dashboard, I remember telling them to try and tell what comes with the high earnings; so that intending drivers/partners will make clear deliberation and have a better understanding before going in. But some people called it Jealousy and Hatred. Even pearl1910, a veteran driver was on the other side of the divide. |

IFSHR: Why just 2days earning out of probably 6 to 7days....60k weekly is too small...90k or 80k should be ideal. True my brother. It's not logical for a driver to make more than the car owner, talk more of pocketing x4 of what he pays car owner and still expect owner to fix every repair on the car. |

Pearl1910: When u ask a student to determine his pass mark, what do u expect. Tokunbo corolla should be 35k sef, but I say 30k non negotiable. Owner does all repairs. But owner of car is asking what is the amount that will be comfortable for a driver to pay, u may still see someone that will say 20k is what he can deliver Pearl1910. Why should someone make 150-200k and pay just 30? What's the logic here? |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by donfortune48(m): 6:52am On Jul 18, 2021 |
Felicity0001: Oga the op asked question how much is recommended, since you have a standard amount drivers make daily then recommend something to him na. If you make over 30k daily, then it's fair enough to pay 2days money out of the 7days in a week to the owner of the car. 60k weekly rental is fair enough with the kind of dashboard we see here. |

davit: Guys, Bolt calculation don kolo. The 2 images refer to same trip. When the trip started, the I told the woman that it was better we use either Ojota or Gbagada. She agreed. Minutes later she said we should use Sheraton Road, and that she had called her son who was at home and that he said thats the best route. I tried to convince her that that route was the worst. She didn't bulge.
On getting to the route, she began to lament.
The trip actually took more than the time bolt app shows. I was shocked to see 6600 cos that was the original price if we had spent normal time to get there. Trip was on 1.9 surge. Immediately, I asked for price review and put 8k. I didnt wait to calculate the amount. But I was sure it should be more than 8k. Minutes later Bolt adjusted the price to my review. I called madam and after back and forth, she paid the rest.
The other attachment is my calculation. Obviously, it doesn't pay staying longer ok trips these days as Bolt will only base the final price on the main estimate.
Guys, learn from this. On that 3rd image, what do you mean by 130x19.8? And you later multiplied it by the surge value. |
