And you Putin retards might look at Ukraine and say "well, they're already helping Ukraine and Ukraine hasn't won". Well note that almost all these powerful economies currently have their defense budget under 2% of their entire budget. I shudder to think what a war economy will look like when they commit 40% of over 15 trillion dollars to war. And mind you, china wouldn't support Russia in full war because china itself is heavily dependent on the collective west. A war will ruin china's economy more than any other.

The other questions to ask is: will NATO be able to win a war against Russia?
Russia will be annihilated within a day if it dared went to war with the entirety of NATO. There is no single doubt about this.

The fact is that on this Ukraine saga, the west themselves are dragging their feet alone because they are doing everything possible not to over-escalate this issue further. Not because of fear of Russia but a lack of appetite for war. The collective west are championing a more peaceful world where less people have to die over unnecessary things.

But know this, Russia in a direct war against an alliance of America, Germany, France, UK and Italy, all multi-trillion dollar economies and global-world leaders is one that Russia can never win.

That is a fact!!
My anger is the fact that the Europeans are still dragging their feet. They need to ramp up their military production far more quickly.

Ask yourself this, does 2 wrongs make a right??

US was very very very very wrong to have invaded Iraq. And guess what, the US itself knows that it was wrong, the Iraq war was a hot button issue in US democratic primaries whereby candidates who supported the war were punished by voters.

Obama has acknowledged that US were wrong in that war, trump has acknowledged and criticized the war. Same thing with Afghanistan where the US has acknowledged it's mistake of foreign policy and withdrawn even at the cost of severe damages done.
(And let's try to pretend 9\11 didn't have any impact in US going to some of these wars)

But what we as neutrals in this have to do is ensure that these kinds of illegal invasions and occupations stop happening once and for all.

That US invaded and killed thousands of people in a foreign land is not justification for another to go and do the same. If not, where does that cycle end?? India against Pakistan? China against Taiwan? Israel against Palestine? Nigeria against Cameroon? Where do we draw the line in countries invading other sovereign nations?

As it stands now, the populace of the western world are completely fed up with the wars of it's own countries and have no appetite for them. They are their own loudest critics. (Same can't be said for Russia and china).
It's this simple. For all the talks about US and Cuba, or US and any other neighbor like Venezuela whom are aggressive towards them, the US has not attempted to invade any of them in at least 70 years. So this argument of an (aggressive neighbor) doesn't stand.

The war for oil is essentially over as the western world themselves are championing a world away from oil for climate concerns.

If we here are all genuinely good people, then we would realize that we cannot be condemning the evil wars of the US of the past and then be cheering on another terrible and costly invasion. That's hypocrisy on our parts. You can't claim to be outraged by the US wars and then turn around and support another terrible war. War must be condemned.

If the US invades any country today again, you bet that there would be a much more viseral anger at them. Even their own population would turn against any such governments that attempts that today.

So please, let us stop using the past to justify the present evil. Let us move forward together in a world of peace where no one has to invade the sovereignty of a nation. My 2 cents.

You are of course being biased.
Both sides, the Patriots of global democracy and then the brainwashed victims of propaganda by targeted misinformation throw insults around.

I remember the day someone here said, there shouldn't be insults when making points, I agreed to that and gave my counter opinions on the points he raised only for him to reply and call me stupid in his very first sentence.

I am ready to dialogue with anyone without exchanging insults only if the other side abodes by that. Then we can get to undoing the brainwashing you guys have consumed from Russian and Chinese propaganda.

My fellow liberals, budatuum, ibime, feedthenation, wirinet, amazontopaz etc.

I really need you guys input on this.

What do you guys think of transgenderism?

I am a liberal at heart, I believe in a world of tolerance for all that different from me. I want progressive change in the society and dread the effects of the hard right however on this issue of transgenderism, I am really torn on this issue.

What causes transgenderism, are you guys in support of them? What about children who claim or "feel" that they are trans. Should teenage puberty blockers be allowed? Should their natural growth be distorted based on how they feel?

I saw this thread I'm posting below and I felt a lot of dread. Should anyone really pass through this? Should transgenders really truly have a highlighted role in the society worthy of emulation?? Guys help me out here.

I don't want to sound like a hateful conservative who doesn't care about the comfort and role of others in society but I need to know how liberals truly feel about this issue of transgenderism.

See what these people undergo to become trans. Should this be encouraged?

Please, no conservative should quote or reply me. I already know what your opinions are. I'm asking other liberals

No single country has the appetite for large scale war. They are simply trying to contain Putin's madness. But they have given him their only redline.

PUTIN, MAKE SURE NOTHING NUCLEAR IS USED!!

The minute Putin uses anything nuclear, Russia is immediately reduced to dust. China and India will immediately withdraw their tacit "neutrality".

Nahh, Europe will be fine. Funny enough, it's us underdeveloped countries that would suffer this more.

European countries had already banned Ukraine grains long ago in order to protect their own grain farmers. Blocking Ukraine grains will see the price of grains on the market rise of which those European countries already have grains and the one's that don't have grains have the money to buy at the price while the African countries suffer.

Putin the blackmailer put forward some of his demands to return to the grain deal:

➡️ operational restart of the ammonia (and other chemical materials) pipeline between Tolyatti-Odesa
➡️ reconnect Russian financial organizations to SWIFT (serving grain deal)

The second demand particularly made me laugh. I thought they said they were developing another one apart from SWIFT that will rely on one nonsense blockchain technology.

How many bottles of Pepsi can a Nigerian earning minimum wage of 30,000 buy compared to an American minimum wage?
You are telling a very big lie right there.

I just asked my friend in America via WhatsApp and he told me that the normal nigerian sized bottled Pepsi or coke is not even up to 1 dollar. It's only the ones in much bigger sized bottles that go above 1 dollar and that those sizes are not sold in Nigeria.

Even google would show you this below.
You don't need to lie to buttress your point while supporting this heartless government.

You enter the western region an economic refugee and you live to see your children become multi-millioniares and political leaders. Shaping the direction of these countries.

Show me where that happens in authoritarian china and Russia.

The USA is certainly the best world power anyone could have wished for.

You need to have your head checked if you are supporting an evil dictator like Putin, ayatollah of Iran and china.

Look at China, the richest billionaire jack ma has basically been silenced by the government and his company basically stripped from him because he dared to complain against the government. Has such ever happened to Elon musk, bill gates and the likes before?

These people censor their citizens and control the flow of information unlike US and other democracies where the citizens can source for information from wherever they like, of you don't like CNN or fox, well, there is Rogan or newsmax or 4chan or whatever conspiratorial hell hole you want unfiltered and unverified information from. You will not be punished for seeking any unclassified information.

It could also be argued that it's why standing on principles is more important than having positions vacillate based on who's expressing an opinion. Raumdeuter that's today saying subsidy removal is the best thing since sliced bread was then arguing that the removal was ill-timed, even though the economic conditions were better then than they are today.
The BAT that removed the subsidy today then wrote an essay that is just as relevant today as it was then, but because he was looking to get power in 11 or so year's time, he played an active role in Nigeria pissing away its opportunity to remove subsidy removal.
As I've just said, NEVER expect objectivity from dayo as far as politics is concerned. The tribal bias is extreme.

Blueray has posted here before how dayo himself was vehemently against subsidy removal under Jonathan.

Today he has changed mouth because his person has said the same.

When you catch dayo in contradiction of himself, he smiles and deflects as to how it shows that he's smart in making any side of an argument. It's all about winning an argument even though lives are involved.
