I think if all leaders will master this courage Africa will move forward. Due to greediness most leaders are afraid because they have to go to China for begging. Thank you Mr. President. |
You can’t eat from Africa and disrespect us; Rwanda President Kagame says as he deports 18 Chinese nationals One of the most revered Presidents in Africa, Paul Kagame of Rwandan has been trending currently on social media for what many refer to as an act of a true leader. Reports have it that, President Paul Kagame have ordered the deportation of eighteen(18) Chinese Nationals from the country last week Wednesday. The deportees were accused of violations of the laws of the country through the consistent abuse of the rights of citizens of Rwanda by making them “work abnormal hours like slaves” and also grabbing farmlands from indigenes. The reports further stated that, the deportees have been banned from ever traveling to Rwanda. ‘‘I am deporting those 18 Chinese back to their country and never returning back! Rwandese must enjoy their rights in their country”..[…] Let this be a lesson to all other peoples who want to live and work with us! Respect us and we’ll welcome you with our good hearts!” President Paul Kagame was reported to have stated. He was further quoted to have said that, “Africa is a peaceful continent, we don’t tolerate discrimination here or are we welcoming to be slaves again. This country is for Africans and those who mean well for us are always welcome.”

[BREAKING News] Repentant Boko Haram Fighters Have Ran Away, Rejoined The Group —Senator Ali Ndume says on BBC “They are like Kharajites. Many among those released have since ran away. They will never repent The government should know what to do about them. But not re introducing someone to you, who has killed your parent or your relations.” “Haba. Not that he even apologized to you, he apologized to the government. His thinking was that government has failed, and that is why they are being pampered. “This government’s programme is unacceptable to our people. The right thing is to stop it forthwith. ” If there is sincerity of purpose in this ,those in the IDP camps should be trained in various trades and vocation, so that they could start life again,” he said. The BBC also featured a widow, who condemned the programme because Boko Haram insurgents killed her husband. “This thing is hurting .They killed my husband in my presence , they killed my son. I’m left suffering with four young orphans. Till death, I will never forget that day. ” I was left with orphans, with no help or assistance .See how harsh life is today, someday we eat, another day we stay hungry. That is how we are suffering with the children. “Look at the kind of care giving to the Boko Haram members. We that have suffered for 6 years now, we are not taken care of. But the repentant Boko Haram, truly government has not done justice here,’ she said. Asked on how she was coping with life, the woman said all her remaining children were out of school. “I am always washng, I do menial jobs to get N500 and take care of the children,” she said. A male victim also told the BBC that Boko Haram insurgents killed their relations and chased them out of their home. ” They killed four of my close relations. In what capacity are we going to stay with them again?. Do we see them as human beings or animals? She asked. ” Or do they want us to meet them and take revenge? There will be a serious problem, ” he warned. “They should go to Gwoza and Bama. Many of the repentant insurgents have rejoined the insurgency. There is nothing you can do to change a Boko Haram,” he said.

He’s 83 and she’s 84 — and they model other people’s forgotten laundry. Chang Wan-ji and Hsu Sho-er have become Instagram-famous for wearing outfits curated from the hundreds of items left behind by absent-minded customers at their laundromat in central Taiwan. Their 31-year-old grandson and unofficial stylist, Reef Chang, originally came up with the idea to create an account on Instagram when business slowed because of the coronavirus pandemic. “They had nothing to do,” he said. “I saw how bored they were and wanted to brighten up their lives.” Turns out, they were naturals in front of the camera. Sho-er exudes the haughtiness of a supermodel but retains an air of playfulness. Wan-ji is the perfect foil, complementing his wife’s swagger with a chill disposition while rocking bountiful eyebrows. The couple now receive messages from fans all over the world. Wan-ji said he’d be happy if the hundreds of people who have forgotten to pick up their laundry would return to pay their bills. “My grandson is very creative,” Sho-er added. “His creativity has made us happy, and other people, too.” Beautiful! Ken Saro Wiwa represents the exact mentality of some misguided political leader from the Niger Delta - very short-sighted and bigoted to the point of stupidity. From fighting Igbos, he went to fight Ijaws, then proceeded to fighting his “cousins” which led to his execution... From fighting for “one Nigeria”, he proceeded to fight for Rivers state, and embarked on fighting for “PortHarcourt” state... In all these fights, he never fought the Nigerian Military (dominated by Northerners) or the Northern tribes who were actually controlling the oil money...and who finally executed him. He’s a foolish man, indeed. |
This is Kenule Saro Wiwa, self acclaimed Ogoni social activist His perception on Igbo, Ojukwu, Biafra and the creation of Rivers State. See and pay attention to his "emergency" list of friends He was killed in 1995 by General Sani Abacha I'll allow you to make your thought from this ............ AWO AND THE CREATION OF STATES By Ken Saro Wiwa (1987) I am a Khana. The Khana along with their cousins, the Gokana, Tai and Eleme have, since 1947, been grouped as Ogonis, in the Ogoni Division. Today, the Khana and Gokana are in the Bori Local Government Area, the Tai and Eleme are part of something called Otelga, a hybrid Local Government consisting of the Okrika Ijaws, the Ndoki Igbos and the Tai and Eleme. We belong to Rivers State. The Ogoni number about 500,000, which makes me an extreme minority in a Nigeria of one hundred million people. The first secondary school in Ogoni country was established one hundred years after the first secondary school in Yorubaland, the CMS Grammar School in Lagos (1858). These two facts alone, in the first instance, establish my pitiable plight. I am unfortunate to be a Nigerian. I would rather not be, but I am doing my level best to be one, and a good one at that. Being a Nigerian means that my brother Nigerian of the Bura ethnic group in Borno State has been told that I am a "Southerner," equal to the Yoruba or Igbos who are numerous, well-educated and are after the jobs which the "northerner" ought to have. I wander, therefore, through the Federal Civil Service and am lost in the competition between "northern" and "Southern" Nigerians, between the Igbo and the Yoruba, between the various clans and religions of the various peoples of Nigeria, between personal ambition and greed. I am lost. I cannot truly answer the name Nigerian. [...] I was a graduate student when the cataclysmic events of 1966 happened. Apart from my revulsion at the needless murders of the innocent, nothing upset me more than Ojukwu's dishonest formulations and his attempt to kidnap the Ogoni, among others, into his Igbo empire called "biafra." I knew that he pinned his hopes of the economic viability of "biafra" on the oil of the Ogoni and the Ijaw. I rebelled. I became Secretary of a small committee which met nights in Port Harcourt and issued a communique calling on Gowon to create a Rivers State by decree. When, by sheer quirk of fortune, this happened in 1967, I abandoned family and caution, crossed the fighting lines and found myself in Lagos. There I became a member of something called the Interim Advisory Council of Rivers State and, subsequently, Administrator for Bonny. I returned to the war front and struck up friendships with gentlemen like Sani Bello who comes from Kontagora, Akinrinade from Ife, Obasanjo from Abeokuta, Yakumu Danjuma from Takum, Dan Ato, now deceased, from Bida. I had reason to hope that my nightmare as an Ogoni in Nigeria was about to end. With the war ended, and as a Commissioner in Rivers State, I soon found that the Rivers State for which I had fought did not end my nightmare. In the first place, oil money from Ogoni country (as well as Ijaw country) was being carted away to Lagos, leaving the Ogoni illiterate and backward. This is anti-federalism. Worse still, the Ijaws were taking their frustrations out on the non-Ijaws of the State. For the Ijaws along number more than the eight other ethnic groups in Rivers State put together. Though historically disunited, the Ijaws find unity when it comes to lording it over the non-Ijaws. The Ijaws will want to perpetuate this. Today, there is not even a Commission from my Local Government Area in the Rivers State Cabinet such as it is. My dilemma as an Ogoni is not about to end. Lost in this dreadful nightmare, I went in 1971 to see Chief Awolowo at the Federal Ministry of Finance. There was nothing I told the sage that he was not aware of. He showed me his writings on the issue and bade me seek the mid-Southern State he had proposed in 1966. Thus was the quest for a Port Harcourt State begun. In 1974. When we started, there was no shortage of opponents. To the Ijaws, I became a traitor. [...] The creation of this State would alleviate my nightmare and show Nigeria how much it has robbed and neglected the Ijaws of the oil-bearing Delta. So, what do I really want? I want a place where my children can regain the independence which was the Ogoni patrimony before the advent of colonial rule and before Nigeria's independence consigned them to slavery at the hands of their neighbours. I want the option of CHOICE. And I am not begging for it. I DEMAND it. And I also want that option for Hauwa Madugu, the 21-year-old Youth Corper in my office. She is a Jenju from Gongola State. So that we can both be better citizens of Nigeria and end our collective nightmare.

The Force Intelligence Response Team, IRT of the Nigerian Police Force, Led by Abba Kyari has arrested seven employees of an energy company, Xinxin energy in Odogbolu, Ogun state, for kidnapping and killing a 65-year-old Chinese national, Defa Song, the father of Hongli Song who is the owner of the company where they worked. Vanguard reports that the seven suspects identified as Adetayo Adeniran, Hammed Jabiri, Jayeola Olalekan, Animashaun Mustapa, Akeem Lawal, Moruf Razaq and Yinka Jayeola, had in February this year, conspired to abduct Defa Song. They abducted him while he was stepping out of his daughter's factory and took him to an unknown destination where he died. They contacted his daughter demanding a N50 million ransom for his release. The daughter of the victim immediately petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, who ordered operatives of the IRT, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, to launch a manhunt for the suspects and rescue the Chinese national. Special IRT teams were deployed and a few days into their investigations, a vulcanizer working for the company, Adelekan, was arrested. During interrogation, 34-year-old Adelekan told the police that he and seven other persons working for the company including a security guard, orchestrated the plan to kidnap Mr. Song. He said the 65-year-old man died in their custody a few days after he was kidnapped because he fell sick and was not given proper medications. According to Adelekan, they gave his body to some fishermen to help them to dispose of it and went ahead to demand a ransom of N50million from their boss. “I am from Odogbolu area of Ogun State, I am married with two children, I am a primary school dropout. I am a vulcanizer but in 2019, I was employed by Xinxin Energy Company in Odogbolu as a mechanic and a vulcanizer. They were paying me N60,000 monthly and I worked for them for three months before Mr Song came from China and sacked me because I bought a vehicle with the salary I was earning. Then one of the security men working for the company, known as Israel called me and suggested that we should kidnap the man so that his daughter who owned the company would pay us a huge ransom. I called my younger brother Hamed Jabiri, who also worked in the company and informed him about the plan. He bought the idea and invited one Moses, who he said was a cultist, who had guns. This was in October 2019, we held a meeting and planned how we were going to kidnap the man. On 16th February, 2020, I was given a Corolla car to repair, and I felt it was a good opportunity. After repairing the car, I called my friends; Ade Tayo, Adeniran Dele, and Amend and when we got information from the security man that Mr Song had stepped out of his house, we went after him and kidnapped him. We took the man first to a bush close to my shop and later to the home of one Morufu while Adetayo started talking to the man’s daughter on phone. He demanded the sum of N50million as ransom, but while we were still negotiating I got a call from the people looking after the man that he was dead. We then put the man’s corpse in a sack, before putting it in a drum and I drove the vehicle to a riverbank where some firemen were called to take the drum away with the boat. Moses was the only person who followed them to where the drum was disposed of.'' he said Another suspect, Ahmen Dabiri, 29, who is a native of Lagos State said during the operation, Mr. Song opened the mask he had on his face and recognized him. “ I’m married with three children, I am an auto electrician and I work at Xinxin Energy Company. In October 2019, Olalekan called me and said we should kidnap Mr Song and that his daughter, who owned our company would pay any amount we demanded as ransom. When Olalekan had a vehicle he was repairing, he called and informed me while I called my friend known as Moses who was a member of Aye confraternity. On the day the security man who was our informant monitoring the man called that the man was coming out, we went there swiftly and when we caught the man, I rubbed Aboniki balm on his eyes before taking him away. It was Moses who organized where we kept the man. While we were waiting for the man’s daughter to pay the ransom we demanded, he opened the mask I was putting on and he recognized me as one of the persons working for his daughter. I told the security man who brought the job about it and he suggested that I should kill the man after I have collected the ransom, but unfortunately, the man died before the ransom could be paid and we disposed off the body. But the police came later and arrested us.” Another suspect, Adetayo Adediron 36, a native of Oyo State, said he got involved in the crime because he was in search of money to start up a business. “It was my friend that got me into this trouble. I approached him, begging him to help me get a job at the Chinese company where he was working, then he suggested that I should join the gang to kidnap the Chinese man. I was the person that drove the Toyota Corolla on the day of the operation and I was hoping I would use the money to set up a business. I was the one who called the owner of the company to demand ransom but I was disappointed that the people looking after the man killed him before the ransom could be paid” he said The police is still searching for Mr Song's body that was dumped in the lagoon. In this same Abacha's confab, are you aware that Chief Dr Alex Ekwueme moved a motion for the creation of 6 geo political zones and the motion was killed? And South South was part of the proposal. Now look at the voting pattern that killed the motion. South South delegates voted 50-50 in favour and against. South East delegates. 100% in favour of the motion. South West delegates. 100% against the motion. Now again. North Central delegates. 50-50 in favour and against. This is in the North oh! North East and West delegates voted 100% against it respectively. Wonder in the above voting pattern is that the South South that's supposed to be the ultimate beneficiary could not deliver 100% for something that is entirely to their own good. I have carefully studied those people and their reasoning pattern and I lost hope in any alliance with them. Till date, they still make it a point of duty to say that Igbos want them because of their oil and sea. And of course, you are not better than the Igbos with your so called resources. —Mao Kalia --------------- This shackles on the Niger Deltans must be broken before they self destruct and subject the generations unborn to perpetual subjugation

This same wrong information is still going on till today, and I ask myself when are we going to be wise to know who our real friends and real enemies are? |
"In 1995, when we were preparing for the National Constitutional Conference under General Abacha our elders in the Niger Delta told us to look out for the support of the Northern & perhaps the Western delegates when proceedings begin.. The understanding was that our South Eastern brothers are always against us. Truly, we got to the Conference and asked for 25% derivation but NO NORTHERN or SOUTH -WESTERN delegate supported us. To our surprise the South East gave us bloc support and when we decide to stage a walkout, they also walked out with us. General Abacha then intervened and gave us the 13% derivation we are enjoying today. It is confusing that what our elders told us was different from the reality. " -Oronto Douglas “Words on marble”

I applaud daddy G.O for noticing the qualities that this man Peter Obi possesses. The thing is, the hatred of the born to rule region will not allow them to see him as the true option that Nigeria needs at this critical time. Nigeria is in fact heading for disintigration. |
BREAKING NEWS!!! PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE ENDORSE PETER OBI, AS THE NEXT NIGERIAN PRESIDENT. July 21, 2020 Tonnison The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God,( RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Monday called on former Anambra State Governor, Mr Peter Obi to prepare to take over from president Mohammadu Buhari come 2023. He made the called when members of CAN paid him a courtesy call at his residence in Lagos to discuss the issues affecting the country, church and the state of insecurity in Nigeria. Daddy G.O as he is fondly called revealed that massive corruption is killing Nigeria gradually and must be stopped before it consumes everyone. Having checked on the crop of politicians parading themselves as leaders, I found Mr. Peter Obi to be the most qualified to lead Nigeria to the promised land, therefore, I endorse him for president come 2023. Pastor Adeboye who was involved in a Protest March recently against the killings of Christian before the lockdown call on the Federal executive to shorn tribal sentiment and work towards installing Mr. Obi as the next president of the federal republic of Nigeria. “In the past, I have supported all the candidates that sort for my support, but today, I’m calling on all and sundry to rally round and support the emergence of Mr. Peter Obi of Anambra state ahead of the next general election”., he said. “Let an honest Igbo Man with many years of wealth of experience lead Nigeria to the PROMISED LAND. Saying ”We have tarried here for too long, It’s time to crossover to the other side of the Jordan” he appealed. We must address the concerns of those who feel left out of our march towards national unity and cohesion. General Obasanjo is not 'overreacting'. When the chief proponent of one Nigeria (General Obasanjo) publicly express his concerns, we should be worried. General Obasanjo is not Nnamdi Kanu or Gani Adam. He is a truly patriotic Nigerian! |
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday said except Nigeria is restructured by reforming the Federation units, the country may disintegrate. According to the former President, insecurity is one issue common to Nigerians, regardless of tribe, language, religion, location, gender, age or social position, noting that without reforming the federating units, Nigeria would remain insecure, unstable, unprogressive, stagnated and, at worst, disintegrate. Obasanjo spoke on Friday at this year’s edition of the Sobo Sowemimo Annual Lecture organised by Abeokuta Club. The event was titled, “COVID-19 and the Nigeria security issues: The way forward.” He said: “Let me lay more emphasis on the issue of security, which in itself is serious enough to make restructuring imperative. The South-West governors cried out and devised Amotekun as a solution or part-solution. We have yet to see how successfully that will be operated. Other zones are clamouring for a solution because in no state and in no geopolitical zone is life and property safe and secure. “Criminality is the order of the day. And it cuts across the entire nation. Insecurity is one issue of commonality among Nigerians, no matter their tribe, language, religion, geographical location, gender, age or social position.’’ Recalling that the Northern Elders’ Forum, through its spokesperson, Akeem Baba Ahmed, had declared President Buhari a failure on account of persistent insecurity within the nation, Obasanjo said: “I leave out economy which is in the doldrums and fighting corruption where you see more heat than light and which is festering like a bad sore. That, to me, is what reform of federating units and restructuring is all about and not about break-up or disintegration. Insecurity brought about by widespread criminality of Boko Haram, insurgents, herdsmen/farmers conflict, terrorists, bandits, armed robbers, militants, kidnappers, abductors and human traffickers is a new phenomenon that is ravaging the entire country.’’ Continuing, he argued that it was evident that no ethnic group or geopolitical zone and even the Fulanis in Nigeria are collectively satisfied with the present situation in spite of the President, Muhammadu Buhari, being a Fulani man. “I am, of course, discounting invidious and irredeemable Fulani fundamentalists and hegemonists. Federal security architecture, as organised and operated by the present government, cannot give any individual or group hope, let alone assurance of security within Nigeria,’’ Obasanjo said. He further said that from the beginning of June, there had been agitations and protests of a revolutionary nature in Mali. He added: “Not that I am afraid of revolution, no, not at all, but I love and cherish peace and, of course, not peace of the graveyard. If I am concerned about security issues in Mali because of possibility of flow-over to other parts of West Africa, I should be more concerned about security in any part of Nigeria. I have not lived for the demise of Nigeria nor for its destruction or incapacitation in any form. Rather, I have lived to make and see a great and united country.’’ Obasanjo further noted that there was a time when kidnappers, militants, and human traffickers ravaged the East and the South-South and the North was relatively unaffected. “Now, no part of the country can claim to be safe from the menace and insecurity caused by terrorists, armed robbers, human traffickers, kidnappers of all sorts, cattle rustlers, insurgents, bandits and herders/farmers conflicts. “We are all challenged to put our thinking caps on, join hands and seek solutions together, otherwise, we will be destroyed piecemeal”, he submitted. https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/obasanjo-fears-nigeria-may-disintegrate-without-restructuring/

Daddysidhan:Exactly, it favors them, that's why they are taking that stance, if it was the other way round they would have opted out of this contraption long ago. It's not up to them alone to decide whether Nigeria will continue being together or not, other actors in the union have a say too. Marriage has to be agreed by the parties involved. |
