Christianity EtcRe: Christ Embassy To Break Record With 12, 000 Man Choir by dorox(m): 10:30am On Dec 25, 2015
I don't know if 12,000 choir will make a new record, but Akwa Ibom's 9,999 choir as impressive as it is was certainly not a record, the Ode to joy had it beaten by one.

He would Av been forgiven. Peter also denied Christ, but traced back his steps
Peter in refusing to imperil himself by admitting that he is an associate of Jesus who was already in a perilious state is quite different from Judas who knowingly put him in peril for a few pieces of silver.
Christianity EtcRe: Would Judas Had Been Forgiven If He Asked Forgiveness? by dorox(m):
PastorOluT:
Pls what do u mean Judas sin is not as a result of the weakness of the flesh?
How about this example. Imagine this man while carrying doing his job as an airline security employee charged with the duty of bagage inspection, someone offered him a small bribe to allow to him carry a quantity of palm oil that is more than the amount of liquids he is allowed on the flight. Now his better judgement was to decline, but on remembering that his daughter is in desperate need for an operation that he doesn't have the money for, he rationalised that it is just food, there surely can't be any harm done if he allowed the passanger to have his bottle of palmoil, moreover he has pressing needs for the money. Then it was announced after a few hours that the plane blew up half way through its journey. And it was subsequently established that the bomb that brought the plane down was smuggled unto the plane disguised as a bottle of palm oil.
Obviously the security man will feel devastated with guilt that his apparently innocuous lapse of judgement has cost hundreds of lives.
For such a man in the sight of God, I believe there exist a pathway for his savation if he is repentant, remorseful, and reports himself and his actions to the authorities.
Now contrast this tale with another where the security guard knowingly allowed a bomb to be smuggled into a plane after he was offered the kind of money he had always dreamt of having to live a good life.
I believe that a person like that have no path to salvation even if he later comes to regret his action or feel remorseful after seeing hundreds of bodies from the accident on tv.
My point is that Jesus came for the unrighteous humans who by nature will always fall short of God's standard. He did not come to save the wicked pharisee-like people whom he called serpents, broods of vipers. He pronounced woe on them instead of calling for their repentance. Read Matthew chapter 23.

Christianity EtcRe: Would Judas Had Been Forgiven If He Asked Forgiveness? by dorox(m): 12:02pm On Dec 21, 2015
Judas sin is a classic example of sinning agains the holy spirit, there is no forgiveness for it. Why not? You might wonder. To answer that we must first understand why we sin and why God has made provisions for our sin to be forgiven.
The simple reason why we sin is because of our imperfection which we inherited from Adam. Hence no matter how hard we try to be righteous, we will always remain short of God's righteous standard. That is why Paul in Romans 7:21 said that although he tries to do good, evil is present within him. It is as if there is another law operating within us that pushes us to sin even as we delight in doing what is good.
So we sin not because we want to, but because of the law of the flesh that is within us as a result of our imperfect human condition which makes us susceptible to sin. And God is ready to forgive such sins on the basis of the ransome sacrifice of Jesus if we repent and ask for forgiveness.
Judas sin was not as a result of the weakness of the flesh, it was deliberate and willful just like satan's rebellion against God. On the other hand Peters denial of christ was as a result of human weakness.

Lol.

Mental illness is very much ignored and underrated in our society.
We think of mental illness only in terms of people walking naked in the streets.

A recent study suggested that about 23 million Nigerians suffer from benign to mild forms of mental illnesses.
That is what happens when people are made to believe that there is no link between cause and effect, that a desired reaction can happen without a required action, that whatever we want can be ours if we persist in our asking.

Mr are u still talking?
Ur posts reeks of ignorance though, non-muslims are allowed into Saudi but are not allow to publicly practise their religion, why? Becos Saudi is not a secular Country, it's a Muslim nation, they av their reasons for that. Like the Vatican city where there are no mosques, they are also made up of small cities where there are no churches. Every immigrant into Saudi knows this, it's an open secret, so why crying? Other Muslim nations allow non-muslims and even av churches, so there is no basis here, or are u interested in living in Saudi ni? America is a secular country, if they decide to become a Christian country like many of u 'tolerant Christians' want and destroy the mosques therein and stop Muslims from coming in, no wahala.
About the Ahmaddiyah issue, they do not consider them Muslims not becos they are not violent (lolz), but becos their ideology comes with bid'ah- innovations into the religion wc is considered a sin, their leader had supposedly had a dream abt another prophet called 'Ahmad', who will come or came after Muhammad, or something and had revealed some prayers and actions outside the norms of Islam to him, and he started gathering followers.
It's like the numerous churches and their various doctrines, someone can wake up and say don't let's wear shoes cos probably Jesus didn't (I'm sure he did), or we won't get married cos Jesus didn't, etc.
So by your admission, it is ok to be a nation of bigots provided it is an islamic nation. I guess Trump is trying to turn America into a Theocratic regime like Saudi Arabia , so why are you complaining?
Christianity EtcRe: To All Nairalanders That Supported Trump On His View About Islam by dorox(m): 1:24pm On Dec 10, 2015

This is where islamic hypocrisy has no part 2. The ahmadiyyas are not even allowed entry into meccan and medina because their form of islam does not advocate killing apostates and infidels, like the salafis and wahabi sunnis (which the saudis are notorious of). An ahmadiyya has to lie before he can be allowed to do hajj in saudi arabia. A christian has to lie, change his name or deny christianity before the saudis can grant him\her entry visa. And to muslims this dicriminatory policy is ok, as long as it is for the good of islam.

If the orthodox and conservative muslim country like saudi arabia cannot allow non-muslims into their country, muslims should keep quiet and stop all the noise againt Donald Trump.
The issue at stake that the op and her muslim friends can't seem to understand is that being against terrorism alone is just not enough to characterise someone as a decent human being, that is just setting the bar too low for a well functioning society. The fact that extremist of islam, neo Nazzi racist and bigots of various shades are also opposed to terrorism should not not qualify them as nice people.

Going by the way they reason, Trump is not a terrorist and he is vigorously opposed to terrorism, so he must be a nice man. But the fact is Trump is a bigot even though he is opposed to terrorism, so he is not a nice person. Same applies to repressive islamic regimes, they are not nice even if they are against terrorism. We should condemn Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh and other relpressive islamic regimes with the same with the same voice we use in criticising Donald Trump.

Saudi's repressive regime towards people of other faith is much worse than the muslim repression that Trump is advocating, yet you rightly condemn Trump as we all do while refusing to condemn Saudi Arabia. It is this blatant hypocrisy that we are against. Trump isn't a terrorist, so he should not be compared with one, neither is Saudi, but they are both disgusting bigots, and it is not ok to condemn one while remaining silent about the other.

Let's get back to the start, can anybody in the house who is a real cognoscenti on the Big bang theory answer this:

Does this mean the Big Bang brought something out of nothing some of which formed the Stars and other the Planets?
The big bang is an explosion of energy which I think came from God. Now energy and matter are related by the Einstein equation E=mc^2. Where E is the energy equivalent of matter and is equal to the mass multiplied by the square of the speed of light.
What this means is that matter is the condensation of energy just like how steam on cooling gives water.
Christianity EtcRe: Look! God Caught By A Telescope Creating A New Planet by dorox(m): 12:32pm On Dec 02, 2015

Luminosity, the fact that some stars give light and others do not , is simply a matter of chemistry.

Stars give out energy, the latent energy that they have, by simple atomic fission of hydrogen atoms.

Some stars have the ingredients and catalysts for these fission chain reactions, while others, not yet mature, or ones who have exhausted their fissionable materials.
Sorry for being a bit pedantic. Stars produce their energy through nuclear fussion. It starts with the lightest element hydrogen combining to form helium and it ends when iron is formed. Elements heavier than iron are produced only in super massive stars when they explode in a supernova.

Okay.

Alright, how do they differentiate is there a magnetic attraction of like particles?

In essence are you saying that all planets were formed from the same substance? How about the luminous ones?
Stars are bright due to nuclear fusion of light element to heavier elements. Planets are not luminous. Any apparent luminousity of a planet is the reflection of light from the star it is orbiting.

Nice discovery!
However, it raises questions which I hope the experts in these very technical areas will be able to shed light on.
1. Since all other planets were formed by the same action of gravity on star debris, how come only one perfectly supports life?
2. As a result of (1), were all the 9 planets formed simultaneously or one after the other?
3. If consecutively, which came first and which was last?
4. For those who are knowledgeable in Big Bang, did that process bring about the solar system too or was it extant at the time when Big Bang occured?
5. If the Solar system existed before Big Bang, then how correct will it be to say planets are formed from star debris?
6. If the Solar system was a creation of the Big Bang then what informs the formation of more stars sans another Big bang?
7. Did the Big Bang produce only Earth or the other Planets too?
8. What births a Planet, Big Bangs or Gravity's activity on star debris?

Looking forward to answers.

P.S. As much as possible, use layman's terms.
I am not an expert in astronomy but here is my layman take on your questions.
1. One just "happen" to form at a distance from the sun that is conducive to life. This habitable zone that is neither too hot nor too cold for life to exist is commonly refered to as the Goldilocks zone.
A little experiment for you. Hold let say five small stones of various weight in your hand, and throw them as far as possible.
Now check if they all land on one spot. If they don't, can you postulate a hypothesis that explains the order in which they land from you?
2. The process of planetary formation started at the same time and ended when there was too few left over material in the gravitational field of each planet.
3. The process of planetary formation is not a sequential process that must wait for one to finish before the next one can start.
4. The big bang gave birth to all of the matter and energy in the universe, so it is obvious that it came before stars and planets formation.
5. The solar system did not exist before the big bang. Same goes for all other stellar system in the universe.
6. The big bang created matter and energy, and this matter and energy keeps rearranging itself to form new stars and planetary system from the death of old ones.
7. It produced everthing in the universe.
8. Think of it this way. The big bang gave birth to the substance that planets are made of, while gravity is a force that acted on these substance to form big round planets.
