IPOB Sacks Nnamdi Kanu As Leader For 'Valuing His Dog Above Murdered Members' | Sahara Reporters During a broadcast aired on Sunday from his base in Israel, Kanu mourned his dog and “a few other people” in his compound, who lost their lives when troops of Operation Python Dance invaded his residence in September 2017. However, the group said Kanu was an "insensitive and callous leader that has no value for his own followers but rather his dog, Jack whom he paid tributes to after his long disappearance from the struggle". , one of the leaders of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), says Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the group, has been sacked. According to Mbakwe, the sack was as a result of the Sunday broadcast credited to Kanu, which he said was a clear indication that Kanu prefers his dog, Jack, to those murdered in the struggle for the realisation of Biafra. During a broadcast aired on Sunday from his base in Israel, Kanu mourned his dog and “a few other people” in his compound, who lost their lives when troops of Operation Python Dance invaded his residence in September 2017. "The Army of the zoo killed my dog Jack and a few other people in my compound. I am sorry for what my sureties are passing through, but I want to assure them that they will have a special place in Biafra. I shall not be honouring the court,” the IPOB leader had said in his broadcast. However, the group said Kanu was an "insensitive and callous leader that has no value for his own followers but rather his dog, Jack whom he paid tributes to after his long disappearance from the struggle". They also referred to him as a "traitor not worthy of any leadership position anywhere in the world". The international media arm of the proscribed group had announced Kanu's sack in 2017, noting that he was “dismissed and removed as Director of Radio Biafra following extensive and intensive consultations”. The group said the reasons for which Kanu was removed include “personalisation of the Biafran struggle and derailing from the core objectives of IPOB as a grassroots movement". Meanwhile, a statement by Olisa Mbakwe, Director of Strategy and Documentation of IPOB, obtained by SaharaReporters on Monday, read: "On Sunday, October 21, 2018, an individual, Mazi Nnamdi Nwanekaenyi Kanu, claiming to be the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director General of Radio Biafra made a live broadcast that has left us perplexed, because it is unthinkable that someone will impersonate IPOB to the point of plotting to abuse the organization to hurt the interest of Biafra. "The strength of the Republic of Biafra that we are struggling to actualize, is in its human resources as embodied in our versatile youths that dominate the fields of play across sectors of human endeavor; the country we have set our vision on creating is therefore not to be made up of tombstones but of people fulfilling their life missions as ordained by God. “Nnamdi Kanu relinquished his position as the leader of IPOB struggle the day he deserted our members to die, when they had mobilized to stand for our belief in Biafra at his residence in Afaraukwu. Several of our members were injured and some died in that encounter and even after emerging from hiding more than one year later all Kanu could do was to desecrate their memory with his radio broadcast. Nnamdi Kanu vividly, specifically and particularly recalled his family dog, Jack, by name while he dismissed our members that died as mere statistics — he only recalled them as 28 IPOB members. “Even if Kanu had not deserted, there is no way we would have continued under the leadership of a man that values his family dog more than Biafrans. “We are not unmindful of how Kanu struck the deal that granted him bail in the first place while abandoning our members, Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawusi, Bright Chimezie Ishinwa and Chidiebere Onwudiwe to languish in jail. Instead of using his freedom to accelerate the freedom of these authentic freedom fighters, he rather went about Biafra land receiving obeisance from Biafrans like a monarch, when our dear land is completely republican. The travails of these our brothers are not over yet and might have been worsened by Kanu’s live broadcast, which has totally upset us. “In line with the decisions earlier announced on Radio Biafra on November 17, 2017 that Mazi Ezenwachukwu Sampson Okwudili is the new director for the radio, we reaffirm that Mazi Nnamdi Nwanekaenyi Kanu remains sacked as the Director of Radio Biafra and has also been removed as the leader of IPOB since he has proven he is not a worthy leader that respects the sanctity of the lives of our members. “Following interventions by our leaders, considerations were being made to reverse the earlier announcement but after studying the Kanu’s live broadcast from Israel we came to the painful conclusion that we cannot make progress with our vision of Biafra, when one man has completely personalized and commercialized the struggle. The decision to drop Nnamdi Kanu from playing leading roles in IPOB affairs is hereby upheld. We shall announce replacements after consultations with the various stakeholders.” Source http://saharareporters.com/2018/10/22/ipob-sacks-nnamdi-kanu-leader-valuing-his-dog-above-murdered-members 30 Likes 5 Shares

Man United is finished but their fans are finding it difficult to believe. Everything in life is time. They are no longer relevant. It would take them years to get back on just like what Arsenal went through for 10 years and now getting back. So Man United is finished. Sad but true 3 Likes |

Fayose spoke yesterday after 72 hours in detention. He admitted knowing a former Minister of State Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro, who ferried N1.299billion slush funds to him in a chartered jet. Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose is telling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detectives all he knows about the N4.685 billion allegedly withdrawn from the Office of National Security Adviser (ONSA). Fayose spoke yesterday after 72 hours in detention. He admitted knowing a former Minister of State (Defence) Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro, who ferried N1.299billion slush funds to him in a chartered jet. He also said he has links with Abiodun Agbele, who allegedly bought six choice properties for him in Lagos and Abuja. But the ex-governor added drama to his grilling when he wrote the EFCC to demand an additional mattress in his cell. He said sleeping on two mattresses will be more comfortable for him. The EFCC was looking into his request as at the time of filing this report. The governor, who had vowed not to speak, made a U-Turn, The Nation learnt. Agbele and Obanikoro are central to the disbursement and receipt of N1.299billion and $5.377million to him. “The $5, 377,000 was handed over in cash by Obanikoro to Fayose while the N1.299billion was received by Agbele on Fayose’s behalf in the presence of the ex-minister’s Aide-de-Camp who also accompanied them to the bank,” a source close to the investigation said, adding: “From the $5million, Fayose gave his Personal Assistant Agbele about $1million which he exchanged to Naira and paid for properties on behalf of the governor. “These assets include four in Lagos (N1.1billion) and two in Abuja worth about N500million to N700million. “The properties, worth N1.8billion, were purchased with the said proceeds of crime.” Fayose has been asking the EFCC to take him to court. The source said: “Fayose will still undergo another round of grilling on Friday (today). We cannot just arraign him in court without obtaining a statement from him. “By Friday, he has to explain the following: Did Obanikoro hand over cash to him and Agbele? What was the N1.299b meant for? Did Agbele buy properties for him? How did his associate acquire the six properties for him? “So far, Fayose remains in custody till he is able to respond to issues isolated for him.” Fayose wrote a letter to the EFCC demanding an additional mattress to sleep on. He said one mattress was too flat to accommodate his frame in the cell. ”He has demanded for a second mattress from the anti-graft agency and I think they are looking into his request. “They want to find out from him the type of mattress needed to make him comfortable in custody,” the source said. Fayose’s lawyer, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), said efforts had begun to secure his release from EFCC custody. Ozekhome told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that “Fayose’s lawyers are already taking steps to enforce his fundamental human rights by getting him released. ”Yes, his lawyers will go to court to enforce his fundamental human rights. ”The EFCC has no right to keep him for over 24 hours. “If they have done that by obtaining a Magistrate Court’s Order that will be in the form of “holding charge” which has been declared unconstitutional and illegal by the Supreme Court. Holding charge is illegal. It is unconstitutional.’’ Ozekhome said that the section of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) permitting a magistrate to detain a suspect for 14 days was illegal. According to him, any action outside the provisions of Section 35 of the Constitution, which specifically provides for 24 hours, is illegal and unconstitutional. The EFCC, also yesterday disowned a tape in which its Acting Chairman Ibrahim Magu is said to have claimed that nothing would happen should Fayose die in detention. The Head of Media Wilson Uwujaren said the purported audio tape was fake. The statement said: “The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission wishes to alert the general public about an audio recording of a conversation currently circulating in the social media in which the Acting Chairman of the Commission, Ibrahim Magu, purportedly made comments to the effect that nothing will happen peradventure Ayo Fayose, former governor of Ekiti State, dies in custody. “Interestingly, the audio tape did not disclose the place where the conversation occurred and the person that Magu was supposedly talking to. “Purveyors of this fake news especially a former spokesperson of a leading political party, are warned to desist.” SOURCE http://saharareporters.com/2018/10/19/fayose-explain-%E2%80%9853m-he-got-obanikoro%E2%80%99
