RomanceRe: Whats The Reason Why Boys Don't Compliment Themselves Romantically? by Doubleagent008(m):
Op that "madman", "idiot" you hear between guys is more romantic than that "sweetheart " "honey" diplomatic cold war words girls use among themselves. That is what being men brings.

Unfortunately, we can never truely separate gender equality from feminism. They're using gender equality to mask their true intentions. I expected proponents of that bill to identify clear areas of descrimination againgst women n tackle them not giving us '6 reasons to support the gender equality bill'.
You sir are very correct. Females carefully crafting their game again playing the Victim card... same issue I see with the gay movements even in the west ( a talk for another day). It may not be bad in its entirety, but I see this equality thing as them over playing their hand.

Equal opportunity does not always amount to equal outcome;- running for a political office is open to both gender, mostly men contest. We have equal rights to own properties, equal access to education, yet a good number of women tend not make use of those rights. Heck! You even have a women ministry, special funds for women entrepreneurs, scholarships for females only, yet more whining. What y'all see as gender inequality is simply women refusing to take personal responsibility for their lives. What proponents of that bill want is simply, i.e:- No fault divorce, hefty divorce pay outs, parental alienation while forcing the man to support kids he may never see again, get out of trouble/ destroy a man's life using rape hoaxes & false domestic abuse allegations, thought police for men, mansplaining, quota system for women . . . How does any of this benefit the men?
we must first separate gender equality from feminist movement otherwise any benefit will be corrupted from this Bill of whatever we want to call it.
if we want equality, that means a leave must come for men in places of work e.g paternity leave. think of the cost implications to government and companies. there should also be ministry of men Affair.
Why on Earth should there be a quota system dedicated to women such we have a scenario like by must the VP must be a woman( choicest candidate or not) that knocks the essence of democracy out of the window. the female folks aren't some endangered species.

right now the only thing I would support is that government should ban bride price, make verbal abuse a crime, after these two injustice towards men have been tackled,we can then start pondering on the points you raise....left to me,one don't need any law to become a career woman or whatever you are driving about, the general human right have already cover everybody,if the senate decide to pass this bill then they will also have to review and dismiss the homosexuality bill which was sign base on religion and moral reasons
good one chief. I like your view. Gender equality will really affect and alter many social sequences and functions.
if it's to be done in all rights, it will even take some privileges from women in fact.
CultureRe: 6 Reasons Gender Equality is beneficial To Nigerian MEN And Society At Large by Doubleagent008(m): 9:52am On Apr 07, 2016
Nice one OP. you have made some good points. I don't totally agree with some of the things you have written. Gender Equality has a lot of aspects that people muddle up together. it's got A social, Political, Economic, judiciary aspects among others. Getting the bill passed or voted is going to take long to come.
as for how it affects us, People seem to mistake Gender Equality for "Gender Favoritism " I have an instance for you, You must have at one point in time seen in the News that some women groups asking that women should make up 40-50% of government cabinet in the name of Gender Equality. that is not Equality that is like Favoritism because for women to make up 50% of the cabinet, that will mean some men who should be there will be overlooked because a "woman" must be there. Rather our equality should target removing limitations to the woman folks so that it makes them be at the same playing level in competition but not that you start giving the female folks quota as a right (equality would mean fairness to everybody) .
So in true equality one would expect women to also be in troops travelling for peace keeping mission in troubled Zones ( can the government afford that?). have you considered the Economic implications how many working hours are lost to Maternity leave e.t.c? the more the women the more the man hours lost.
And even a true equality would also remove the social ' customary' privileges that are attached to the female gender e.g Being a gentleman is unarguably expected of a guy be it convenient or not. Among some other things
that your point 4 is cool but the example is not really a perfect one case in point ; the matter of gender colour assignment is more of a social trend than any other thing and can change at any time and everyone will still get on board. I have at one point read that in the mid 20th century, Blue was seen as a feminine colour and Pink a male colour but the reverse is the case today and no one is really worried. Gender Equality really won't affect a case of social trend.
I'm all for respect of women but this Gender Equality movement still has a long way from being perfect. Even western Nations haven't made equality in all aspects and more questions keep rising by the day.
In all I appreciate the write up

Tbh you made strong points. H'ever, the constant humiliation of women here can make a lady see more reasons to be arrogant. embarassed

(bolded)Lol must be because we "have fish brains" generally huh?
funny enough I haven't used the phrase "fish brain" when it comes to women but I've heard a lot of guys say that and almost in all cases it's usually based on a relationship theme. when guys talk about how confused their Girlfriends are and how illogical their girlfriends make situations. But on a general note, guys don't use fish brain for girls when it comes to full scale intellect( a lot of female folks have shown great intellectual capacity and zest). For me I find the female folks' perspective interesting on non relationship matters( I'm not chauvinistic) coz u ladies attach emotion to things and I prefer to handle things with Logic rather than emotions. the fact that I get to find my own logical way in the midst of emotional cloudiness makes the Female mind interesting to me.

Intetesting! You must be a busy man smiley
I have my free moments. but most of the time I'm often busy. I think the decision is a lady's as to how she replies her pms but some take it like you sending them a Pm and they "seeing it" they are doing you a favor. Some get real rude about it and start the ' thirsty nigga' mantra.
life is fun and serious at the same time. nobody needs that attitude. Your firm polite NO puts things in Perspective. when it becomes a Bio message and stuffs like that, I see it as just a show of attention seeking. why would I subject myself to such self Humiliation? ( I'd be disappointed in myself) .
but in all, intelligence ALWAYS Makes me want to talk to a lady. Female perspective is always interesting be it right or wrong.

This world is no longer a world of ladies sitting back and receiving all they need.

The desire to leave something worthwhile, a mark should consume every lady. This transcends just being successful.

This is no longer a period of walking around purposelessly or thinking the world revolves around you, your nails, body, shoes and clothes.

I want to see more ladies burn with the desire for knowledge and it's application. Burn with the desire to make a change while looking making profits/progress. You are also allowed to be pretty while doing that grin
