It's not an isolated case, abeg. Eminem, 50 cent, Ja Rule, etc, all sing about "haters" , but they're mostly on point. Unlike the crazie Timaya, Durella, Terry G, etc.
What makes dem on point? You no the kind Jazz wey dey Timaya village?
PhonesRe: Android Or Iphone, Which One Is Better? by DoubleN(m): 6:45pm On Dec 18, 2010
texazzpete:
I AM objective here. I present arguments based on fact.

Anyway, the topic under discussion is actually nonsense. You can't compare Android (OS) to the iPhone (handset). You can only compare top tier Android phones (like the Galaxy S/Nexus S/Droid X) with the iPhone 4.

That's an option, good for those who don't mind carrying an extra device in their pocket.
texazzpete:
In most android phones, if you don't root them, the carrier owns you. Which is why @otumfour is still stuck on Android 2.1 on his galaxy S.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. the iPhone has more (and better quality) apps than Android, and as soon as you jailbreak it, you have access to lots more apps beyond's Apple's control. You'll have full control of your hardware.
You know your Onions bro! wink
As both an iphone user(Used both the 3G and 3GS) and an andriod user (running Froyo on my Prototype device grin) i must give Kudos to apple. When it comes to Hardware, iphones kill the competition but on the OS side of things, credit goes to Andriod not because it is 'better' than the IOS but because of the basic things you can do on them like 'flash' and the ability to 'taste' several mods of the OS e.g HTC sense,Motoblur etc. But if i was giving an iphone4 and a Nexus S,i will definitely go for the Iphone4.
CareerRe: Arik Air An Organisation Without Structure by DoubleN(m): 6:37pm On Dec 18, 2010
And see me thinking that it was only in 'One Man Businesses' that this kind of crap happens. Only in Naija! Make dem sha no owe any captain cos it can be fatal.
Talking seriously now. Arik air had no business embarking on international routes in their business plan, they should have just kept playing the local scene. Now what they do is use the money made from local operations to fund their international routes! No be craze be that? Most flights depart for international routes under-booked which leads to serious loss. Not to talk of their international flights being more expensive than their multinational counterparts. I mean na you go wan use Arik Air go London?

clembass:
Am dumping my Airtel line now hello Glo here i come
Because of N200 difference?  shocked shocked.
Akainzo:
This means the Blackberry Service Providers in your country have not developed a secured means of collecting money from their subscribers
Note that there is no credit ratings in Nigeria and Dollar denominated cards are not readily available across the populace. Therefore for the App World to be in place, the Service providers have to developed a means to get subscribers to pay the money for services procured from the App World. Unfortunately, the Nigerian space is made up of jokers and they are not cooperating.

Have you also noticed that no Service Provider provides update services of the OS?
I disagree with you on that, online commerce has nothing to do with the Service Providers. For example,i have an itunes account and i can purchase any app i wish for my iphone, ipad etc and it doesn't have anything to do with AT&T even though they are the exclusive carriers for the iphone.
As for purchasing online, we have access to Debit Cards from VISA and MASTERCARD. Even GTB has the MASTERCARD in Naira which can be used to purchase items from anywhere in the world online and offline!
PhonesRe: Glo Has Slashed Blackberry Service Rates! by DoubleN(m): 8:44am On Dec 15, 2010
BTW what does RIM mean by the 'Sorry the Blackberry App World is not available in your country'? Are they high on Expired Palmwine or what? Nigeria alone i can confidently say accounts for a very significant number of blackberries sold in the whole of Africa! Yet we are not qualified to have access to their washed-up App world? This is the kind of nonsense our so called NCC and Telcos should be looking into if they want to provide their customers with premium value added services.
Nonsense and Ingredence!
PhonesRe: Glo Has Slashed Blackberry Service Rates! by DoubleN(m): 8:19am On Dec 15, 2010
But come to think of it,a N200 difference is not really 'healthy competition' after-all. How many people will ditch their MTN lines and use Glo because of the 200 difference? Not many if you ask me.
I suggest if Glo wants to be projected as 'Nigerian Friendly' they should take the lead and stop following MTN like a house-fly!
N1,500 for the BIS would not have killed them and it would have really been a huge dent in the MTN armor!

PhonesRe: How Can I Use My Iphone 3gs For Internet Connection With A Glo Sim by DoubleN(m): 10:35pm On Dec 05, 2010
First of all go to their website and go through their list of Data Services. They have the Always MAX(6GB for N7,500), Always MIN(1.5GB for N5000) etc. Send in an SMS 'Activate to 127' and follow the instructions from the reply. Go to your iPhone's Network settings and input this settings.
