There is 2nd batch, the notification text message that will eventually hit your phone towards end of the year will clearly indicate it.

When i say there's 2nd batch, then there's 2nd batch. Call it replacement or any name you wish to but not new recruitment because of the Presidential embargo on recruitment.

Keep doing what you are doing. You will be called if you where shortlisted before they exit of Sharkur and Ladan. That list is seen as the authentic list waiting to be called. He is even lucky he can only add.

There's 2nd phase, be patient. I can't mislead any one. Please remain focuse.

Madam, please get another job

The truth is that this recruitment has shown to be unpredictable since it start in 2016. Interview was scheduled, then shifted, appointment letters were scheduled to be given then shifted. Eventually some people were employed. I personally believe that there was or is a second batch. But my problem is why some people will keep visiting a faceless thread to dampen the mood of others. It's really baffling. Why not just click the unfollow button. If DPR decide not to contact anyone again and close the portals,we will not die. The good thing is that, with or without DPR we will still get to the top.

Last year Tamihawt, Marvel, Smartgrid all correctly predicted that appointment letters were ready; mind you they all said calls would be made in first quarter, but lo and behold the calls were not made until August. And we had testifiers on this thread. Events have shown that you just can't predict with DPR. As regards a second list I strongly believe that it exists. But with DPR you just can't say with certainty. I will advise everyone to continue their normal life without DPR. If you are called later then Glory be to God

This so-called Epianuuuu and Unknownuser are sore losers. I wonder what you are doing on this thread. Some people choose to be positive and keep faith on an issue and all you do is discourage them. Majority will agree with me that both of you have obviously not contributed anything meaningful to the thread. Why not just keep away and hold your peace. Na wa oo

How much is GTB to pay Innoson? Some people just like baseless info. GTB declared profit over N150bn, the highest in the industry in 2017. How is Innoson going to be a problem. it appears people are just happy when banks have problems.

Applicants Cry Out over Non- Release Of Employment Letters By DPR
August 9, 2012

A group of young Nigerian graduates are calling on Petroleum Minister,Mrs Allison Madueke to ensure the letters of employment seemingly being held back by the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR are released to successful applicants.

Members of the group which styles itself as ‘2011 DPR Hopefuls (Online Forum)’ said in an open letter they are ‘“appealing to the Minister and management of the DPR to lend a listening ear to our plea and respond by concluding this long-running recruitment process and release offer letters to successful candidates. We are well aware of the challenges of your important office, its dynamism and the turbulence that has dogged your sincere and seminal efforts to uplift the oil and gas sector. We humbly pledge our commitment to give our best to support your efforts to strengthen the sector, as we hope to be absorbed soon by the DPR, with your kind intervention.

Narrating how it all began ,the group said “The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) sometime in March 2010 advertised for various positions and conducted two different tests on 12th June and 4th Dec 2010 through a recruitment agency ERA Professional Services. Successful candidates were invited for final interviews at Lagos resource centre, No.9 Anifowoshe Street, Off Kofo Abayomi between April and May 2011 while the list of selected candidates was approved in July 2011 by the Federal Character Commission (FCC). Hon. Minister, the Budget as your respectable self may be aware, has since been approved for the Department, but here we are still waiting for our deserved letters in the third quarter of the 2012 fiscal year. You may recall the budget breakdown of the department given by yourself before the National Assembly Joint Committees on Gas and Petroleum Resources (Upstream and Downstream) budget defence on Thursday 2nd February 2012 where you and the DPR Director informed the committee that the department would employ more staff in 2012. ‘We are expecting to employ 250 workers in another two weeks,’ the DPR Director said. You also mentioned that a ‘slight increase in DPR’s recurrent budget represents provisions for anticipated recruitment of new staff to improve the overall effectiveness of the department’.

Read the full text of their open letter below:

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE HON. MINISTER OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES, ARCH. (MRS.) DIEZIANI ALLISON MADUEKE BY THE 2011 BATCH OF INTERVIEWEES FOR JOBS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES (DPR).

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) sometime in March 2010 advertised for various positions and conducted two different tests on 12th June and 4th Dec 2010 through a recruitment agency ERA Professional Services. You also mentioned that a ‘slight increase in DPR’s recurrent budget represents provisions for anticipated recruitment of new staff to improve the overall effectiveness of the department’.

Hon. Minister, we sat for the tests and were interviewed several months before the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) cadre that has finally received their letters three weeks ago through the intervention of your good office and will be resuming work in August this year, while our letters are still pending. The successful conclusion of this process or otherwise will call to question the genuineness of Mr. President’s transformation agenda, which most of the DPR hopefuls bought into.

We are therefore, appealing to the Minister and management of the DPR to lend a listening ear to our plea and respond by concluding this long-running recruitment process and release offer letters to successful candidates. GOD BLESS YOU! GOD BLESS DPR! GOD BLESS NIGERIAN GRADUATES! GOD BLESSTHE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA!

I have followed this thread from day one of its inception to this moment. Most of the guys leading the campaign to publicize the recruitment are people who started following the thread recently. They definitely have a plan. If you want to go ahead with your publication, you can go ahead but don't forget to include your reference numbers to show that you are fighting for your personal interests. The truth is that even if the recruitment was 100% merit, everybody will still not get the job. We are happy for Onyidirike, Smartgrid and a few other guys that we know of. Like I always say, what is yours is yours no matter how late it comes.

Fellow hopefuls, I had an urge to write these. Let me firstly say that I haven't received any APL. You may want to say I have no sponsor but that's not true. I have an elite and well known Nigerian who could at a phone call to the director have my name on the stakeholders' list but he chose not to but rather instructed me to go write the CBT and pass. I did pass and was called for the interview, then I called him, he said I should wait until the result is out. But here we are (lol):
I chose to write these because I wanted us to think outside the box for the following reasons:
1. I think Mr. Shakur has worked hard to make this recruitment merit based. If not, it would have been done at the back door like other Mdas recruitments.
2. Let's remember Mr. Shakur is a man and he has blood running in his vein like you and I. With the info we've gotten here, he's sacrificed few slots for the stakeholders to make room for the common candidates.
3. DPR wouldn't have sent some of the staff on training if they'd not wanted fairness in this recruitment.
4. Letters won't just be signed now if they'd wanted to consider the stakeholders' candidates alone.
Lemme quickly say that if you are close to military personnel, you'll understand that every segment in Nigeria seems like a chess board where everything is well planned and staged like the pawns, rooks, knights, Bishops, Queen and King. That's Nigeria for us.
Please, this is a faceless platform, we are hurt (every common candidate is) but let's tender our hurts to the management respectfully. Protest or no protest, the management is aware of what they've done. Let's give DPR the benefit of doubt till next week friday.
I think the best way to handle this is to go to the headquarters in our numbers and respectfully ask questions.
But then, if you've not gotten your APL, that's never the end of life. I believe one day, we'll all look back and ruminate on 2016 - 2018 and remember that DPR recruitment was part of that phase but all we'll do is smile and say God, I thank you.
Patience is a virtue earned most times through hard experiences. The one who owns our life is the Master Chess player, He knows the best hopefuls, lemme say; Las las, we'll all be alright by His Grace.
Peace.

The bitter truth is that, the person decided not to help you. I always believe that what is yours will not pass you by. Those that their sponsors helped were probably 'destined' to get the job. For a few that received external help, there were still a hundred that their sponsors refused to help and you happen to be one. We all hope for the best. Let's calm down, it's not over
