If your franchise player can't handle attention
unwanted as it is, then the Mavs have more
problems than at centre.

I think Dampier is alright at centre.
He is a good shot blocker, and I don't think you guys can upgrade anyway
under the salary cap.

But NOwitzki needs to hit the gym.
That's the big problem.
That way at least he can command a double team.

Only if NOwitzki has manned up and is prepared to
take the ball to the rim like a real 7-footer should.

Imagine, a 7 footer that shoots more three's than he dunks.

How are you gonna win the title with that? cheesy

in the playoffs and you will do just fine. grin

Sports › Re: NFL Talk Here by doyin13(m): 3:49pm On Aug 21, 2007
Regardless of what you think of dog fighting, fact is the powers that be have frowned upon it.

To think that for such pointless kicks, the Falcons are chasing him for his 28 million dollar bonus.

I know its a bit hypocritical of the authorities in their goody goody ways, but its the way of the current Nfl,
and millions of dollars dictates that you behave yourself.

As per the NFL, my hunch is on Tampa in the NFC. I think acquiring Jerry Garcia is a problem solver.
Ever since Brad Johnson and the Super Bowl years, the team has really strggled at quaterback. He is quite the
veteran now, but I expect him to run that offense pretty good. He brings a great threat cause he can do ti with both his arms and legs
as he has shown countless times that he is willing to move out of the pocket. So watch out for playaction to feature prominently
in the Bucs playbook.

In the AFC, I will go for the Titans. They ended the season last year as the hottest team in football. Vince Young is the new Mcanair.
And they have resolved their salary cap issues, so they have added some talent, and they have had to draft judiciously in recent years.
I expect their young guns to mature markedly this season especially on defence, where they were atrocious last season.

I also want to mention the Ravens, who I think might also cause a stir. They still have that lock down defence of Lewis and Reed, which is
always a safe default option. But with Mcnair now a year with Billick's playbook, I expect their offence to run more smoothly.
Their receiving corps. is also impressive with Clayton, Mason and heap at Tight end.

Anyway its the NFL.

It always manages to bring up surprises. I hope the new black young coach at the Steelers does well.

By the way I am an Eagles fan grin

For those of you that don't like Rugby. This is a taste of what you are missing. Power, Pace and strategy

FOR THE WORLD CUP

As all rugby fans will know, the world cup will soon be upon us.

And the predominant question is: Who can stop the ALL BLACKS?

The All blacks have honed their famous offloading skills to the tee, and the interplay between forwards and backs has never been as impressive.

The Springboks have flattered to deceive. Their most potent threat is Habana, arguably the best wing in the world. I don't think they have the same overwhelming physical advantage they used to possess over the other teams. All black forwards are quicker and have excellent ball skills. But never write off the Boks.

France are some peoples faves for the trophy. They have good ball skills, prolly not as much speed as they would like. But I do not see them beating the ALL BLACKS despite home advantage.

England. The bloody pataks. Can't find anything good to say about this imploding side. Oh well. For love of country I will be cheering them on.

I have always been left befuddled by the art of poetry, seeing it as at best selfindulgent.

Well, I decided to make an effort. I am sure I have only grazed that elusive 'poetic side',
but if you don't like it, tough, take me to Judge Judy, if you like.

What makes a man

Is it the size of his wallet

or the width and length of his barn

Or is it measured by the number of welts he inflicts

on the back of his woman

or perhaps how many male backs he puts to the ground

or might we measure a man by the

length and girth of the pod hanging from his legs

or the decibels of the moans which his woman produces

or is it just the gift of the gab

and how many female conquests that obtains

or is it a spirit of the reckless

a thirst for danger

a mistaken brevity

a ready excuse when real men

make their early exits from this world

as real men it seems should

@MPOO7

I Have never doubted Kanu's usefulness. But for his stamina issues,I have always thot he would have been one of the top 5 players definitely in the Premier League.

I don't see David Nugent putting Kanu too long on the bench. He is at best a very good Championship player, and at least a mediocre Premiership scorer.
