Nfora: So is it PDP that ruined Nigeria for 16years that should win elections?
APC has barely spent 3yrs,why not give APC at least 4 more years too?
IF PDP had solved significant part of Nigeria's socio-economic and security problems in 16years,by now we will be talking less of bad economy, electricity, corruption, ranching, killings, fuel importation etc.
Rubbish! Ladies and gentlemen, This is the best comment on Nairaland politics section, ever! |

Mallam has Kaduna north and central. Elrufai made the party uncomfortable for them. They think being Elrufai's enemy will make the popular. This guy really understand kaduna politics. Tomorrow is a solid win for PDP and Fayose.
All reasonable Nigerians know a vote for APC is a vote for Fulani dominion and ranching in Ekiti.
We don’t want ranching in the SW/SE/SS. Only zombies want ranching!
Na d Police babes dey on highest spirits! If I were in Ekiti right now I will move to the area around the station to investigate these women personally.
Especially the Mopol babes!

Politics › Why Is Saraki Still Parading Himself As Senate President? by Doyin2(op): 5:45pm On Jun 08, 2018 |
Our leaders are very shameless!
In saner climes, public office holders resign for minute errors or stains.
Saraki is in court for alleged corruption.
Again Saraki's thug led a robbery gang that killed at least 30 souls and his conscience cannot. direct him to resign for being associated with the killer thugs.
I am not accusing him of being guilty of any offence, far from it.
But the robbery case is more than enough for him to throw in the towel.

emmasege: Nigeria didn't really shun any religious bigotry. Do you think Nigeria would have done the same if a christian-christian ticket was presented by SDP in 1993? You would be so naive to think so. Christians were only understanding enough just because Nigeria was tired of the military and we wanted anything but the military. Very illogical reasoning you have. Are you aware that the other party fielded a a Muslim(Northerner)-Christian (South. Easterner) ticket. What has being tired of military got to do With the fact that people could still have voted along religious or ethnic line. Are you aware that from the few results released, MKO defeated Tofa in his state ,KANO? Are you aware that MKO also was leading in the SE? Nigerians simply voted for the best candidates irrespective of religion or region!! |

Ziggylady: According to Yorubas,
The ' June 12' declaration by buhari has provided jobs for the teeming jobless, idle and under-employed youths in the region,
2)Provided stable power supply, made the economy of the region same as that in First World countries,
3)Turned their dust roads to super highways,
4)Improved security of lives and properties via the caging of Fulani Herdsmen e.t.c.
Therefore they(Yorubas) have resolved to donate at least 50million votes for buhari next year.....Talk about ' sophisticated' politics at its best, impressive! So we should not commend Buhari for doing the right thing.. Perpetual wailers |

Yes ,politicians loot our common treasury hire thugs and equip them with all sorts of illegal weapons such as AK 47,especially during elections.
After elections, the thugs become jobless and broke ,resulting to all sorts of criminality.
Nigeria is now indeed reaping the dividends of " democrazy''
Investigations have revealed the origin of the various criminality and killings ravaging our dear country, case study,Offa Robbery and Boko Haram, all by products of democrazy!
Whilst the people yearn for democracy the crazy politicians gave us democrazy, institutionalising thuggery as part of the political process.
So what is the way out?
Thousands of people have been killed by these thugs turned killers.
All the killers and their direct and remote sponsors also deserve to taste death! |

seunmsg: The president of the United states of America is over 70 and the newly elected prime minister of Malaysia is over 90. Nobody is too old to run. Instead of trying to blackmail Buhari into not running, Fayose and his wailing PDP gang should channel their energy towards throwing up a credible candidate that can defeat PMB. It is just few months to the general election and the opposition PDP cannot boast of a credible candidate. That says a lot about the quality of opposition politicians in Nigeria.
The right to legitimate aspiration is a fundamental right that cannot be denied anybody that is qualified. The younger generation of politicians that want to take over from the old class must be ready to slog it out through the ballot box. The old people will not stop running simply because the youths want power. Macron contested against people who are far older than him and won. He did not blackmail anybody into not running. If Fayose or any younger person thinks they can do better than Buhari, let them come out like Sowore and Fela Durotoye and contest in 2019. Nigerians are reasonable people, they will elect whoever they think is best for the country. Thank you. How does performance and economic development relate with age? And who says a 25 year old will live longer and healthier than a 70 year old? Ages of some other world leaders: Santos of Angola 73 Alsaud of Saudi Arabia. 82 Akihito of Japan. 84 Sabah of Kuwait. 88 Essebsi of Tunisia. 91 Temer of Brazil 76 Jin Ping of China. 65 Pong ju of Korea. 76 Theresa May of UK. 62 Too much age propaganda in the land! |

Op wait ooo. So u dey hear the noise about APC epic failure abi? That shows I that u guys failed indeed. I said FAILED cos u guys are already in the past as far as I am concerned. Ignorance. How much was petrol and bag of rice before PDP took power in 1999. Economic dynamics in a volatile oil dependent economy will continue to drive prices up. In 1999 a litre of petrol was N20 and a bag of rice,N2500. I can only sympathise with your level of economic illiteracy. So with the crash in oil price and revenue in an import dominated economy you expect prices not to hit the sky? Meanwhile perhaps many like you had forgotten that it was PDP that ''transformed'' Nigeria into a petrol importing country. Perhaps too you need further education on the difference between assumption and acceptance of failure. SMH. |

Let us assume that APC has failed in just 3 years(note that exam is still on) and PDP a decided 16 year failure.
However aggregate failure does not preclude the fact that both PDP and APC must have passed in many areas.
So what then is the big deal about the noise of APC failure?
For me, I had rather allow a 3 year APC failure, another chance to succeed than a PDP come back.
Those dreaming beyond these two parties,at the national level, for 2019 that is just months away, must be living in fools paradise.
